It was as if she turned back time to her pup years. Learning everything then from the moment she realized, they realized that a relationship could work if she worked hard at learning to accept. Well, that's what that nosey motherly hare said. They would be her eyes, like her honey badger though Nafsi and him almost never got along. Learning how to even walk was painful since she didn't know where things were. She only just became totally blind when she was on her first hunt alone.. When she prounce, everything went white then black.. That's when she got lost and ended up here in the first place. Living beside these animals... They had to hunt for her- do things for her that she couldn't even bring herself to do. Then to meet Nafsi? So many events were falling in to place.

It was like working with a scared puppy when dealing with her. When something went wrong or her sight got in the way- she'd become fustrated easily and walk away or just sit there and do nothing. Pissed and angry. It was hard but somehow.. with the strength and patiences of the gods. Here they were.. Early morning she gone out, when everyone was asleep so she could 'study' the surroundings.. Try to learn it so she could venture or help hunt though that was rare because she would straight up deny even attempting. She wasn't to be useful! So she walked cautiously.. Each step careful as the next and she got all the way up to the hill. knowing every branch and recording it in her mind... Whispers of. "I can do this..."

Nafsi was always a light sleeper even when he was little and with his mother the slightest movement would cause him to be awakened. But ever since he left his mother his senses have doubled. Well all but his voice… He can still remember the day when he left, there discussion… The painful truth about how he came to be….His mother… He hated thinking about it but at the same time he was relieved to know the truth… The funny thing was is that he never forgot Shamira… all these years and she was still on his mind, the female that gave him a voice. And now she was here and nothing could stop them from being together.

Now that he was older he understood his aunt… step mom?.... no his real mom but it never felt like that and never would… Subira was his mom… but it was complicated, all he knew was they weren’t related so they can be together. He didn’t mind what others might think all he knew was he was in love with her..

He woke up as soon as she began to stir, he waited till she left to follow. He let the other critters sleep and silently followed her. He loved her but she was in no way able to protect herself. She couldn’t even protect herself from Nafsi so he stalked her, but only to the point where he knew she was safe but still had her freedom. He understood why she did what she did. He didn’t want to get in her way. So he quietly watches a safe distance away.

When she heard any sorta noise, immediately she went down on her hunches, using her senses to help her but even then it was very much delayed. The hill was her focal point though. Right when she got there, she was relieved in so many ways.. she slumped down in a lay. "Finally." Without any help she got to the hill maybe a half a mile away. Her tail softly wagging as she lifted her head up to feel the wind, she felt so accomplished.. when she got up next, she would head to the river Aiolos kept talking about. Ears back.

Nafsi smiled she was so radiant so full of spirit. He quietly made his way to her watching his feet for anything that could make noise. He wanted to surprise her. A slight smirk lay across his maw. He would lay low even though he knew she could see but still he couldn’t help it, with his bum in the air he would crawl then stop, the repeat until he was close enough looking at her eyes, her beautiful gray eyes. He looked around and licked her cheek. Sure he was worried that she might sense him but by now his scent was all over so he hoped she would catch him. But with Shamira he never knew.

When he went to her side, the smell of him, he was near. Lifting her chin up as she moved her head around. Facing towards all the sides she thought he could be.. then when he got close to her, her fur rose then was about to move back before he licked her. A blush crossed her face, becoming bashful as she looked away. "How long have you been here."

Nafsi smiled before taking a spot next to her. He paused for a moment before answer, “A bit…” He rasped not as bad as normal because he was able to speak that in one breath. He nuzzled her neck before looking across the landscape, he wished he could tell her how beautiful it was, but it would never be a lovely as her, nothing would compare.

A soft smile crossed her maw as she slowly put her nose to him but missed. Ears down, as she slowly tried to find his nose and poked the side of it. "Sorry.." She laughed nervously before nuzzling his face. "So you saw I did it~ I got here all by myself this time!"

Nafsi did see and he was proud, he understood how accomplished she must feel. Doing something on her own, after something so tragic. He simply smiled and laid his paw over hers. He knew she would understand that. Even without a voice and without sight they still were able to communicate, it was like the gods took away something from each other but in return they made them perfect for one another. Like the way their bodies would line up perfectly together when they would be cuddled together at night. They were individuals; but they were soul mates.

She leaned against him with a softness when she felt his presences and heat from her side. Leaning her head back to face up to him. Feeling his paw made her feel just a little better, proud of herself and that made her feel happy and accomplished. "Do you know why I'm trying.." Softly rubbing her wet nose against his soft fur. Getting his scent. "So I can be of use..to you. If you needed me or if something happens.. I don't want to be .. a burden. That's why I haven't returned home.. I don't even know where home is.

Nafsi let out a small grunt, she wasn’t nor would she ever be a burden. He licked her face a few times trying to tell her that; but he knew there was a good chance she didn’t get the message well other then the grunt, that was pretty straight forward. When she talked about home he could help but picture Subira. Why, perhaps it was because she was the family he knew, she was his mother and he loved her just the same. Nafsi took a deep breath, “Home is….wherever…we can be….together….” letting a long exhale, now his throat hurt a bit. That was the most he ever spoke at once… All for her… Because he knew she was worth every last breath.
