Rehnard walked through the snow, with any other fox this would be dangerous and they would be at risk of catching frostbite, however being raised in this environment he could tolerate it well.
He was for once without a job nobody seemed to be in danger of being killed by others, nobody was missing anything and there was a complete halt in requests for body guards. He sat in a spot under a tree that was void of snow and looked up. the sky here was as beautiful as when he first saw it. Raizo and Oma didnt seem to like it here though since it was so cold, but he didnt mind. Raizo had forests Oma had the jungle and rehn had the arctic mountains. the three were usually apart like this however every few days Raizo would fly by and grab him s that the 3 could do some mission that took 3 people.
But for now he was alone, it was his turn to find food especially since his adoptive mother was hoping to soon have more children. Rehn promised he would do what he could to help out, but being as small as he was he could only do so much.

Mai shivered a bit as she walked across the snow covered landscape, what was a young female fox such as herself doing here. Well She didn’t really know just something that had told her to come here.
Ever since she had been separated from her family she had been wandering all over the place trying to find some place she could call home. She didn’t seem to be finding any place but that was okay with her, right now she was just traveling around and seeing everything she could. Perhaps that was why she was up here. She hadn’t really ever seen snow before. Sure it was cold but she wasn’t as freezing as she thought she would be. The landscape looked lonely and there seemed to be no fox in sight. However she watched as a snow hare ventured out to do what ever it was rabbits did. Staying silent and out of sight she watched quietly as it hoped around.
Mai had no desire to hunt at the moment having gotten herself a meal before she came up here. However the hare didn’t know that and having a predator smell tended to scare them off. Thus why she just observed from the background and watched life as it went by.

Rehnard watched from where he sat as a black fox walked by. she seemed to be cold."hmph what an idiot if your not used to the temperature of an area you shouldnt be here...." he muttered to himself.
It then dawned on his, maybe this could be his chance to get some work walking this female through the area. hell it beats just killing snow rabbits and avoiding bears. He stated heading towards the female his normal expression on his face, sadly that expression was an expression of not caring for anything.
"Hey what are you doing this far out....?"he asked a small amount of frustration in his voice hiding the relief that there was actually someone to talk to.

A male voice suddenly startled mai out of her thoughts and she quickly turned around to look at him. “Ack no wait, you’ll scare of the….” She trailed off as the rabbit finally noticed the two and bounded straight back for its little burrow. “Snow hare” she said with a slight groan of disappointment. She was hoping this one would come close enough for her to get a better look at.
Then again Mai shouldn’t take it out on the new comer, he didn’t know she was watching snow rabbits. “Well I’ve never been to an area like that. Foxes where always telling me it was just a cold wasteland but its not that cold and you get to see all these new things” she smiled tilting her head to the side. “Then again could the same thing not be said to you? What are you doing this far out?”

Rehnard watched the snow hare run off not saying anyhthing.however when the female questiond why he was out where he was he sighed."I live out here..."He looked at her."so you came out to a foreign area where you have no way of knowing how to survive, just to see some new things....?"
Rehnards normal greeting for people who he didnt know? "Idiot" if you did anything that he didnt agree with you were an idiot. perhaps he shouldnt take it out on the girl, perhaps he shouldnt be cruel and call her a half wit for being out here for no good reason. He decided to be nice and not insult her."Hold on a second...." he stated calmly before bounding off the direction that the rabbit ran off from, only to return the hare held by the scruff of the neck, a look of confusion and fear on its face. He didnt want to kill it right now especially seeing as its family would suffer and likely die out without her, he just grabbed her and brought her back. he sat in front of her with a look that said"this is what you wanted right?"

“Ah, I see. I thought no one was out here. I’m sorry for intruding on to your home then” Mai nodded. “Oh I wouldn’t say I have no way of surviving, I’ve already been out here for a while. Once you get the basics down and are careful then learning how to survive in any environment is quite easy” Mai stated with an almost down cast tone. It was true she was often kicked out of places and traveled around learning how to survive quickly was an ability she had developed.
“Oh… okay” She said blinking and watched as he ran off. Her heart beat rapidly for a few seconds and she hoped he wasn’t going to kill the rabbit but when he didn’t she leaned forward and lightly began to emit a calm and soothing aura towards it. It worked wonders for kit as it was a skill only carers had and she wasn’t to sure about rabbits but it would be better than nothing. Plus since she was no longer part of a tribe it didnt quite have the mystical qualities as it once had. “Hi there little one sorry about the scare” she whispered in a calm voice. Looking back up at the male she smiled. “Yes this is what I wanted, although I would have been fine just watching him. Thank you for the gift though”

Rehnard looked away"whatever..." he muttered. he put the rabbit down to see what it would do, if it ran good if not maybe this girl would be able to observe it more.It seemed to make her happy. He was surprised however that the rabbit had stopped struggling. he looked at her and asked curiously."how did you do that?" he had never seen someone able to do that not even rave, whose main way of calming him down as a kit was to put him on her back and cover him with her tail. Or cover him in some old cotton that she had obtained at some point.

Mai smiled still showing her gratitude before looking down at the rabbit. It was a lot more draining to use her calming on animals but it was still good to know that it worked. Her breaths came out a bit heavier and faster but it was nothing a few minutes of rest wouldn’t do. As long as they didn’t spoke the rabbit it would go around acting like they weren’t evil predators that would eat him.
“Well it’s an ability you learn when you’re a carer for a tribe” Mai replied. “You need calming powers to take care of and talk to the Bcr’s” she explained. “of course since I'm no longer connected to a tribe it doesnt have the magic so its more of an old feeling and using my aura"

Rehnard raised an eyebrow. He had never heard of such an ability, he thought that having a nose like his was good as it was, but this was interesting."Tribes huh? your from a tribe?" he asked cocking his head. He was never told much on tribal foxes except what he was able to tell from watching the few he met, they were obsessive over some god that they beleived in and were often stubborn towards their beliefs, then again this was just from watching Raizo's other friends. "any tribe I may have heard of?" he asked his eyes dartig to the rabbit who was now looking at him, he quickly darted his head the way the rabbit had ran before telling it to go back to its kids."go ahead its not your time yet..."

Mai had what could almost be considered a sad smile on her face before she willed it away and gained back her normal expression. “Well I used to be from a tribe, we all got separated and somehow I landed on another continent. I’m sure if they are still there they think me dead. Um I don’t think you would have heard of it” she answered. However it was still fun, she liked looking over the kits and getting them ready for life and growing up. She would have thought she had lost the ability only it seemed it was a little bit harder to do was all. Mai smiled at the rabbit ushering it to go as well. It seemed to take the suggestion and bounded back to where it was originally. Well that was always good, Mai was certain it had a family to help take care of.

Rehnard stared at the female a moment. He then remembered she was not accustomed to the cold. "hey whatever name is.. lets get you someplace warmer before you get sick, or get frostbite..." he knew the best avoidance was to keep moving movement made you warmer and every degree helped.
"Stick with me and I can get you out of this cold..." he wondered why he wanted to help her so much. He knew she wasn't suited for this.

Mai smiled a bit before letting out a small chuckle. “you know when asking for some one’s name it helps to give your own out as well but you don’t have to call me whaver ever name… its Mai” she replied and began following him. She was getting used to the environment sure but not fast enough.
“alright, I’ll follow you then” she nodded, most would say it would be foolish to follow a stranger but then again she had calmed down a panic stricken rabbit in front of the stranger as well. Besides it would interesting and she didn’t think he really wanted to harm her.

Rehnard continued walking with this girl Mai behind him, He really didnt want to know her name, especially sinc that led to attachment. But It couldnt be helped he had to at least give her the same respect. Rehn trned his head bak to her then looked back ahead. for a fox not from these parts she was at the very least cute, the bow in her hair made her seem different from most females."Rehnard!" was the only thing that came from his mouth. he hoped she would figue it out from there.

Well her companion definitely wasn’t one for words. However she was used to things being silent so it was really no problem for her. As she followed behind him it gave her plenty of time to look at the scenery. Besides even though she had teased him she didn’t really mind if he didn’t give her a name. Some foxes didn’t.
However Rehnard seemed to be slightly different in the fact he did answer her. She was a smart girl so it made since that the word he spoke was his name after she had teased him about giving her his. She nodded and smiled back before going back to checking things out. She didn’t want to bother him with useless chatter if he wasn’t one for talking.

ehn looked back at her for a moment, stopping his motion. he didnt say anything for a few seconds only stared."the cave I stay in isn't far from here You can warm up there... then I'll get you some food...Im sure your hungry." he closed his eyes for a moment and thought about why the hell he was being so nice. maybe it was that aura she had with the rabbit. why didnt he just kill the rabbit If he had killed it she probably would have just gotten lost. But he had to be all nicey nice. Now he was bringing her home. He was acting pretty odd he had to admit.
