((This is open to anyone who participated in the youma hunting contest. If you have a character that you want to pretend participated that's alright too (use it for plots and back rps yay! you just don't win anything XD).

Make sure you let the artists know who you want drawn!))The two dozen or so senshi that had participated in the Youma hunting contest received personal messages on their phones on the final day of July informing them of when and where the awards ceremony would be taking place. It wasn't an honest to goodness party or anything, but hopefully the offer of free food and another opportunity to chat with the other competitors would be enough to lure some of them out.
It was a different building then last time, but similar in structure. Away from town, large and dimly lit. This time the aroma of food greeted people however when they opened the doors. Boxes were set on either side of the doorway for people to return their cameras (if they happened to remember them). A bulletin board stood up in the center of the makeshift stage covered by a simple cloth. Along the back wall a couple of large tables laid edge to edge covered in different sorts of food. Obviously a labor of love by the two senshi who had prepared the mini feast, Pollux and Polaris. The moving of all the food had been a feat of it's own even after the hours the two had spent simply making it all.
There was a table full of easily portable snack foods. A vegetable spread, potato skins, crescents rolls, prosciutto and gruyere pastry rolls, stuffed mushrooms, fruit tarts, chips and varying types of handmade dips.
Another table had a more savory selection, disposable plates and silverware tucked carefully alongside it. Large homemade itallian pizzas took up most of the table space. A couple of long submarine sandwiches packed with meats and cheese stretched along the back of the table. There was a large bowl of salad mixings and various dressings on one edge of the table. A large crockpot of sweet and sour chicken wings on the other edge.
The last table was a wonderland of desserts. Cups of fresh berries and creams, carefully decorated cookies setting beside some more plain chocolate chip and oatmeal ones. Bowls of ambrosia and jello fruit salad sat near the center of the table, a small selection of different pies and cakes scattered around.
The drink selection was a little slim. But three dispensers offering water, tea, and lemonade were there, and one small cooler of soda for those quick enough to strike first.
Polaris made no effort to try and herd people as they arrived, motioning towards the food and that they should eat and get comfortable first. She was in no hurry to start the actual awards ceremony, better to give people plenty of time to eat so there was less to try and drag off home again afterwards.
She'd announce the winners and give her little speech soon enough, for now they could just have a little fun. Even senshi needed a little fun from time to time.

People filtered in slowly but surely, the large room slowly being filled with life and chatter. Some seemed hesitant to bother with the food, milling around in a rather business like fashion. They'd come for results and possibly prizes. Others however seemed more than happy to attack the tables. Free food was free food! And the homemade treats were certainly tastier than boarding school food.
Polaris took her time milling around as well, greeting people for the most part, though she could be seen answering questions about the food too to the couple of senshi that asked.
Behind the covered bulletin board pictures taken by the senshi were being projected in a slow and silently looping slideshow. Every once in awhile an excited senshi would pipe up to their friends as one of their pictures graced the scene.

Sailor Pomona – Super Sailor Pomona now (and wasn’t that weird) – was not about to miss the dinner following the contest. Advertise free food and she’d be there. Besides, she wanted to talk to the other participants and get to learn a bit more about the ones she didn’t know, like the winner, Sailor Arachne.
Trotting over to the food-laden table, coin fringe tinkling dutifully, the red-haired Senshi grabbed herself some pizza before scanning the crowd for people to socialize with. Spying Polaris, Pomona made her way over.
“ So, do I get an award for killing the wackiest youma, or did someone trump my licorice youma?”
No, Pomona did not think there was actually a Wackiest Youma Award, but she still felt like the fact that a licorice youma had ever existed merited discussion. It was just full of so much ********, for a lack of better phrase, that she couldn’t help but talk about it.

Maia walked in, sporting her eternal fuku and feeling very proud. The competition had been so much fun and before it hardly gotten of the ground Maia had upraded. She grinned as she saw Polaris and Super Pomona and went over, ignoring the food for the moment, in favor of friends.
"Hey you guys," she waved moving over to the pair, as she walked up, "that was some competition and boy it seems we will be handing out more congrats than just winner congrats." She was grinning at Pomona so it was hard to miss what she was referring too.
"Congrats Pomona, on becoming a super."

"I saw a lot of strange youma, clothing... fountains.. but licorice is definately one of the weirdest! I swear I was double checking my food for the few days after that"
Polaris laughed a little, turning towards the familiar voice as she answered. She should have noticed the small difference in power, but the changes surprised her nonetheless, gushing softly. "Ohhh, your new outfit is so cute" She looked like a flamenco dancer in a way!
And then Maia appeared in all her eternal glory. "Congratulations to you too" She parroted back, admiring both of her friends. The senshi were really working their way up and getting stronger, not to mention tons of new recruits. How could they possibly lose now?
It probably didn't have anything to do with it at all, but Polaris couldn't help but feel partly responsible, her pride bubbling as if her little contest had helped in pushing the girls towards their upgrades. Having toasted more youma then any of them as well, well.. Polaris' head was about to pop from ego.
Luckily for everyone she kept it in, tucked away behind a proud smile. Poor Niflhel would probably have to listen to her gush about it later though. Poor Niflhel.

Castor didn't feel like he needed an award ceremony. No, the fact he'd just gone and killed more youma than Pollux was pretty much in itself a great enough award. However, Pollux was certainly smug in his own right. His brother hadn't won the entire competition. In fact, he'd lost to others. And he was supposed to be the prince? Still While Pollux had been busy keeping things orderly at the tables, (and marveling at how messy some senshi could be), Castor was all flair as he strode in, c**k and confidence.
"Hey there ladies, I hear this is where the party is at." A cheeky grin as he scanned them, giving Maia a wink. "How's eternal treating ya? haven't run into any Negas with a song bird fetish I hope?" From a distance, Pollux was glaring. The brothers were keeping a distance and from the ice cold glare Pollux was giving Castor, it wasn't something that the young looked keen to discussing.
As Castor looked ready to make some kind of lewd comment he found his eyes dragged to the sight of one Pollux, storming his way over. "Er-" A flick of his eyes to the girl and a small smile. "He hasn't...um... been a total a** to anyone has he?"
Pollux just glared at Castor. Darkly.

Maia grinned when she received a congratulation of Polaris. "Thank you," she said softly before Castor voiced his entrance and Maia turned to gain a wink and a couple questions. The second of which made her roll her eyes and shake her head.
"It's just fine, thank you. Only one nega encounter, a new guy, so tired my attack made him fall asleep where he stood," she said with a grin knowing while her attack made other very tired it usually did not make them actually fall asleep.
She almost continued but Pollux spoke causing her to give a giggle. She wasn't sure if he was speaking to her, but she answered anyway. "Pollux right," she said waiting for confirmation before grinning. "Sometimes it takes a while, but I think we all learn to take Castor with a grain of salt. His hearts in the right place, I guess." She was attempting to be nonchalant, but smiled at Pollux and Castor anyway.
She looked backed to Polaris and Pomona with a smile, but wondered where Europa and Arachne for that matter.

“ Tell me about it. With all the strange youma out there, it’s a wonder we aren’t all completely paranoid.”
Of course, youma had a tell-tale energy signature to them that set them apart from mundane, everyday objects, but she still thought it was at least a semi-valid point.
“ I’m glad the colors are a bit more subdued, but then I got all these extra decorations to make up for it. I feel more like a doll then a magical warrior.” Pomona groused good-naturedly. Pomona had liked to complain about her outfit before, and it seemed that getting an upgrade hadn’t change that. She loved her fuku, she really did, just not for fighting in.
And hey, speaking of upgrades, there was Maia!
“ Congrats to you too! I see you’ve earned your wings.”
Pomona didn’t have anything to say to Castor or the other male Senshi, though she was glad that Maia said his name. This was a Senshi she wasn’t as familiar with.
“ Pollux, is it? I don’t remember seeing you before all this.” A hand was waved vaguely to indicate the youma hunting competition. “ Am I that oblivious, or are you new-ish?”

"I think it's very elegant" She regarded Pomona's comments with a soft laugh, her eyes lifting as Castor arrived and her fellow chef made his way over to the small group.
To him, a soft smile was offered, and a simple amused shrug, as Maia answered the question for all of them. She didn't really think it was possible for Castor NOT to be an a**. But at the same time her feelings for him had shifted a little more pleasantly since their last meeting. Before she would have scoffed but now.. she was more along the lines of Maia. It was an irritation that was worth ignoring and getting over. He had enough to offer to overlook the personality 'quirk'.
As everyone talked her eyes gazed over the growing numbers searching for a few certain individuals. She didn't know who all would come, but at least two of the three winners were here.

People were milling around, eating, talking, and for the most part having what seemed to Polaris like a good time. It was something they all deserved and something she was happy to have helped with, even if just a little.
It didn't take very long for the room to fill though and the chatter to start to turn impatient. Relieving herself from her friends, the senshi of magnetism approached the front of the room.
She didn't have anything super fancy planned for the winners, so with a clap of the hands she began, raising her voice hopefully above most of the others circulating the room.
"Hello everyone. I just want to think everyone for coming and for participating in my little game. We took down an impressive number of youma and I really had a great time looking through all your photographs. You should all be very proud of yourselves." She motioned towards the screen for a moment before continuing on.
"Without further ado I would like to announce the winners of the first Youma Hunting Contest."
"With a grand total of 16 youma, our grand winner is Sailor Arachne." Holding for a moment for applause she continued afterwards as she waited for him to make his way up.
"I hope that's an inspiration to any new sailors out there. You don't have to be a super or eternal to accomplish great things, all it takes is a bit of work and dedication. Bravo Arachne."
"Very close behind was our second place winner with a grand total of 15 youma. Congratulations Sailor Maia."
"And last but certainly not least, with 14 youma is Prince Castor."
When each of the winners had made it to the stage she paused by each, handing them their cash prize before giving a soft bowing shrug of her shoulders, stepping back finally with a sweeping arm motion.
"Let's hear it for our winners!"
"Feel free to hang out, chat, and partake in the spread Sailor Pollux and I provided near the back wall and just well.. have fun guys. You all deserve it. Thanks so much again for joining us."
Speech done, she offered the winners a final smile, pulling out her cellphone to send the message of the winners senshi wide, before she headed towards the tables in the back. She needed to check on the food situation and make sure everything was still going smoothly before she too returned to the party.

(( Just posting a wrap so I can count this. ^^ ))
Pomona listened to Polaris' announcement of the winners dutifully, brows furrowing slightly when the first winner - the overall winner - was announced. Arachne? Another name she had never heard of. Really, she'd have to get out more. A lot more. She hadn't heard of Pollux or Arachne or of Castor becoming a Prince. Obviously she had missed a lot by sticking to just dusting youma, but outright combat with Negas just wasn't her thing. If she was lucky then Polaris or some of the other scouts would hold more events like this.
