This is a challenge for an open one-on-one battle. The Players' partners shall be stuck in an alternate plane to allow for the use of psychs by a technically un-partnered Player. Damage will be determined by the base power of the pins. Any threads may be used for customization purposes only, but no effects, meaning that SOS is prohibited. HP is set at 5000 Tansen's Pin Deck Pegaso Bishop Lightning Rook Lightning Rook Excalibur Her Royal Highness Pegaso Ariyoul's Pin Deck Excalibur Ovis Lightning Rook Lightning Pawn Her Royal Highness Pegaso Rules 1: First and foremost, no godmodding! 2: Alternating turns between Players. No double posting. If Players are controlled by the same person, controller must alternate between the two. Posting will be done in a set cycle decided upon the acquisition of opponents. 3: Healing Psychs are banned from both Players' and Reapers' decks. No food items may be used to affect the outcome of the match. 4: Energy can run out, Pin/Psychs have a recharge time, so special attacks and combos cost energy. One post is equivalent to one second on the recharge and usage of any pins. Energy caps out at 10. The use of any pin costs one point of energy for every second of duration. However, if the psych is prolonged as with psychokinesis or pyrokinesis, each following second costs nothing. As for charging for Nexus Rays or Burst Rounds, the energy costs two, one for the charge and another for actually firing, as to balance out the power. Energy is restored by two points each correct post. Summoning Noise costs four points. Numerous actions may be performed at once as long as they coincide with their energy costs. Basic movements (e.g. Running, Jumping) costs one point per set action. 5: Only ten Noise can be used to attack Players during this battle, if Taboo (or other variants) then five. Summoning Noise will have a negative impact on Reapers' health, but will be regenerated over the course of two or more turns unless the stated Reaper has forfeited or has been Erased. The type of Noise affects the amount of health drained and the turns it takes to restore stamina. 6. Players are assumed to be of equal speed unless affected by pins. 7. No Fusions psyches may be used. 8. Erasure is possible, but if anyone is erased then they can still reappear in roleplay, if The Reaper loses whether it be by erasure or just being knocked out then it means that they must give out their rewards according to the skill and length invested into the roleplay. 9. Difficulty is set by thread length. 5-10 posts = easy 10-30 posts = normal 30-50 posts = hard 50+ = ultimate. 10. Pin decks must be stated along with the acceptance of any challenge and may not be changed during the course of combat. However, pins may be temporarily taken from decks by, and only by, the use of Raven Noise. Prize* (2^[Difficulty])*1000 *Prize will vary according to inflation and certain deck arrangements. The A-East stage was pitch black, the only thing visible being the thin crack of light that came through between the two heavy doors. The only signs of life came from the light scrapings of lights and railings that supported Tansen in his trek around the darkened room. Not that it mattered to him. He was blind.
He had came out since he received a message proposing some sort of challenge. Apparently he was to fight someone, another Player. That seemed a bit backwards, but what choice did he have? The Reapers controlled their fates for the week.
He stopped. He thought he heard the sound of footsteps. Leaning his head forward as to catch some distant sound he hears it again. Someone else was there. It was bad enough that he was cut off from Chase, but that there may be something hostile here. He readied his pins as he honed in on the sound...

Restlessly, the male stretched his slender limbs as he meandered towards the concert stage A-East. At last, an opportunity that had blossomed before him: time away from his partners that were always on his case: at long last, his forte at moving solo had burst upon him. A stray strand of dark hair grazed his visage, and he quietly brushed it away. Upon pondering those habitual actions he had committed in the RG, was it possible to be able to steal in the UG, a feat well pulled-off in the honest reality of when he used to be alive?
As hard as he attempted to recall, he failed to remember who he was fighting; all he reminisced was that the other fighter was, indeed, a Player. As his cold heart trembled with adrenaline, though he hadn't even engaged in battle yet, he knew he had the will to erase anyone within the bat of an eye.
As he grasped the doors and pulled them open, he realized how unusual it was to propose a fight in a pitch black area. As he mused about this oddity, he concluded that it was probably an advantage for his opponent, but if the adversary was also blinded, then both tables would stay flat. Ariyoul left the door remaining open, a thin sliver of light pouring in - something he planned on depending on. He waited for his eyes to adjust to the murkiness as he flickered his gaze to examine the fighting stage. A gate, some railings near the ceiling, and... it seemed the lights were broken. Again, same as always.
He prepared to turn around and venture back to the UG in an attempt to explore other areas his opponent could possibly be lurking when he caught a measly click. His head throbbed as he whirled back around, a smirk plastered onto his lips. Someone else had reached the Concert Stage, perched somewhere in the stage. The distinct sound of music from outside grew as Tansen groped his way around the base of the main stage, running his hand against the framework of the lighting set up. Someone must have opened the door. Reaching out, he grabbed a light bulb as a hold as he tried to raise himself up to the stage.
A cool light bulb. Futoshi has been neglecting on maintenance again. Careful to not shatter the glass structure of the bulb, Tansen hoists himself onto the stage. Just as he was about to push up onto the stage itself, the light bulb broke off in his hand with an audible crack. Well, more of a click as the slowly let the glass on the ground without a sound.
Trying to get away from the shattered bulb, Tansen slowly backed up. He wasn't exactly authorized to be here at the moment and he knew how security was all too well. As he took some more steps back, he felt the crack of a water bottle as he lowered his foot. He froze as he tried to hear for more sounds.

Alarmed, Ariyoul forced himself calm when he perceived more sounds. There was not a doubt that something, if not someone, was definitely taking cover in the shadows. He managed to comprehend the image of a darker figure somewhere near the stage itself, and squinted, attempting to sharpen the clarity of his sight. He doubted himself as to whether it was reality, or if it was his oculars toying with him...
...No, he wasn't mistaken. There was an entity in the blackened room, and as he toed his way towards the stage, his footfall gave way to the crinkly sound of a paper bag. He cursed silently to himself as he cupped his precious Excalibur pin in his hand. Likewise, he heard a different voice curse, and relaxed his pressured body. Someone lied here, and that voice sounded... very familiar. The crinkle of a paper bag brought Tansen's attention to the direction of the open door. Someone really was there. And had didn't seem so friendly. Despite the closed space and the echoes it produced, he attempted to hone in on the frequency. It wasn't clear who it was, but they were definitely close. Caring for silence wasn't a priority anymore.
Pushing up on the side of the stage, he leaps up to the top edge of the platform, his black suit barely visible even with the outside light. Strafing across the stage, Tansen concentrated on trying to figure out exactly where his opponent was. Despite the darkness, he was at a loss with the echoes of the stage. The sound of something recoiling - the stage? - sounded extremely loud in Ariyoul's alert ears, and he averted his gaze from forward to elsewhere, anywhere. When he noted another creak, he recklessly fired a streak of silver lightning at the sound, and, for half a second, he swore under his breath that he could see another person with the assistance of the temporary flare...
When the unsettling darkness curtained the stage once more, he counted himself lucky that he brought his lightning deck. The unmistakable glint of eyes flashed in his direction swiftly, and the male trained his eyes on the single spot, attempting to judge where the entity could conceal itself. If there was ever something he could learn from his days in a gang, it was to never take chances; if a body looks dead, kill it again. A bolt of lightning flew by Tansen, the air crackling with energy. He had wanted to stall any fighting, but hey, they initiated combat. Taking into consideration the origin of the bolt, he rose his right hand and threw it forward, launching forth the Pegaso Bishop projectile. Ricocheting off the stage framework, it flies towards Ariyoul.
As he hid behind a thick pillar, Tansen realized that the frequency seemed familiar. He had felt it back at the Statue. s**t, and this was one of the newer Players he liked...
