Pietr was a strong male lion of status among these people now. He had been spending more and more time with his future mate and getting to know her. They weren't very similar in personality and... well... a fair few things; but they were fond of one another. Pietr doubted he'd ever have feelings for her like Eytucan and Zelt'zin did.
He was among the trees, observing the antics of his people. The harvest of the jungle was great lately, feasts were being held below on the ground. Fruits of exotic taste and insects were piled high. Eywa was blessing them.
With the recent wedding on his mind, he was thinking of his future plans for being chief. It was a... strange thought for him.

Petra walked through the jungle basin with her head held high. Her bronze eyes kept forwards. She was a strong female, strong in mind rather than of body. Though she could hardly be called weak in body she paled in comparison to the size of her brother. She was if anything of a delicate stature though she knew few who would turn around and challenge her.
She had proved herself as her brothers advisor, she kept her eye on him and felt she protected him. She could take the hits her fur colour threw at her, despite Eywas blessing. She could stand all of those things, though she often grieved in private, she showed nothing but strength when she stood beside her brother. She could face anything, that was her will, that was the will of Eywa.
All of that paled next to the reason she was marching to her brother for. Her stomach turned in mighty lurches as she padded and clawed her way up the small rise to stand next to her brother.
Keeping her gaze forwards she smiles a little smile directed secretly at her serious sibling. "A penny for your thought brother?" She whispers, her gaze sweeping over the masses below. Taking a breath the soft brown lioness let a smile lift her lips further. "I need to speak to you..Privately." She cleared her throat. She would normally just say what she thought, that was her way, but the reasons he was here, she wanted to keep private, at least until she had her brothers blessing. Clach waddled beside the lioness a fierce look on his maw. He nearly matched his friend and he was here as a smaller, though very furry crutch. If Petra couldn't get her words out, which he knew was most unusual for the lioness, he would fill in the blanks. He was here for encouragement to get Petra to tell her brother of what had conspired. He grunted an acknowledgment at Pietr and waited in a half slump for them to retire to some where more private.

Pietr had greatly appreciated his sisters devotion to the pride that was so, well; not so forgiving for her coloration. Not that anyone shunned her, it was just something they saw as dangerous. Among the bioluminescent plants, blending into the blues and purples was essential. Brown colors made you stand out more, though not a lot. If she had any red on her, than folk would frown. Red and oranges were very hard to deal with among the dark colored world they lived in.
"Petra. I see you sister. And I see you Clach." He said softly as she spoke her presence and greeted him and he gave a small head nod to the badger. When her tone was a bit more serious than he expected. He nodded simply, standing up and begging to move to a more quiet and conserved area; where he could hear her without problems.

Petra smiles lightly, following her brother. When they had moved away from the main crowd she leaned in and brushed her forehead against her brothers wavy mane. "How are you?" She asks, she had to ask her brother came first always he was after all important to this place and though she had her own things on her mind it was important to ask how her brother felt.
She sits slowly glancing down at the honey badger as he waddled up and sat close to the lioness.
"Just say it already, you always do this." he grunts, Clach was, as always, a grump, but he also saw that Petra deflected her problems and concentrated on everyone else's.
Petra flushes slightly and looks up at her brother letting a long sigh roll over her lips. "You don't have any..plans..for me to mate do you?" It was a delicate thing to ask, if her brother decided she needed to be betrothed she would not deny him if he said he had someone in mind for her, but, it would break her heart if she couldn't have Txur, still, she had to ask the hard questions. Did her brother have anyone in mind for her? Did he?

Pietr was concerned by his sisters approach. He lowered his head curiously and flattened his ears, gazing down to the honey badger. He bit his lip for a moment. "I am good... whats going on sister?" He asked, looking from his sister to the familiar. He was expecting something bad. When clach spoke, Pietr looked worried. "what?"
When the words felled his sisters mouth. He looked taken back. First he couldn't think of anything to say back. "Wh... what?" He looked confused. "Why would I? You have any choice among mates... You could mate a crocodile and I would approve!" He said with a small smile. Then it seemed a thought came to him. "Wait... Why do you ask sister?"

Petra flushed slightly, her pale cheeks burning red. "Well..The thing is.." She takes a long steadying breath "Txur has asked me to be his mate." She blurted her chocolate brown eyes dancing happily. She hoped he would approve, she guessed he would know who Txur was. Oh he had to approve.
Clach snorted and shook his head "See, quick is best." He rolls his eyes and looks up at Pietr, he knew the siblings were close and that if her brother did not approve Petra would walk away from Txur, no matter what she felt. it was beautiful really, loyalty to a fault.
She looks up at her brother holding her breath and counting her heart beats, she so needed her brother to say something before she passed out from lack of oxygen.

Petre gazed at his sister and when the words felled her lips, he smiled. Not a smile of mocking or a smile of anything but pure happiness and pure joy. His sister had found a mate! Everything they had always wanted; in this pride... once they were strangers and now they were home. "Petra... There is nothing in this world that would please me more than seeing you with him. He is a good male." He knew Txur well...
"I have nothing but approval my sister. I think you and him would be a wonderful pair...." He looked giddy for a moment.

The lioness giggled, which was a rare thing for her to do, she did't giggle she couldn't be a giggly girl and assist her brother but his words made her giggle. "Oh Pietr, I am so glad you approve! I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't!" She gushes attaching herself to her brother, burying her nose in his mane under his chin.
Clach grunts and shakes his head. "I did tell her there was nothing to worry about. Your sister loves you more than anything you know?" He raises a brow, she always put her sibling and the pride before herself and he saw that all the time.
Petra pulls away and smile up at her brother. "I thought maybe you wouldn't approve he is younger than me and, well, I wasn't sure if I should mate or if you would have anyone in mind..." She trails off and shakes her head "I should have known better."

Pietr brought a paw up to embrace his sister; his grin showing his happiness. It didn't matter to him; who his sister chose to be with. Happiness was happiness. He hoped for just that with his intended. "I wouldn't have it any other way. If you cares for you... then that is my only requirement." He said simply; his eyes showing the truth behind them.
"He is a good male. I hope for a large family hammock for you." He said, meaning when the time came; for a large family. "I suppose we should start working on it huh?" He had just recently finished the one he would share with the future queen. "I would love to help...

She chuckles slightly licking her brother on the chin. "You know your help is always welcome brother." She smiles. "I do think that Txur and I can do it ourselves though." She chuckles a little and shakes her head, all the worry she had harbored for this moment had flown away so quickly, she was allowed to be happy, to settle with who ever she wanted. She was just so pleased.
Clach snorted and shook his head. "yer best be getting back to the lad. He'll be wondering whats keeping you." He snorts a laugh and looks up at Peitr. "Think I'll go a scrounging for some food." With that said the complimentary ratel shuffles away.
Petra chuckles quietly "He is such a grump, but he is right." She shuffles up to her brother and cuddles in to him. "Thank you brother. I should go and see Txur, give him the news, I told him I had to speak to you alone." She smiles. Pulling away from her brother she looks up at him happily. "I'll come back later, I need to go and tell him in case he gets worried." She laughs gently and skips away from her brother. "Thank you Peitr, honestly, you've made me the happiest girl in the world." She beams and dances away with her tail held high in the air, happy, proud, excited. She finally had a mate.

Pietr watched her go and sighed to himself. He wished the best for both of them. He knew that their litter would be one of many things; perhaps some acolytes. Though they were not the appealing color most liked; they were important for the pridal balance. Regardless; he bowed his head to his sister and her companion as they left.
"Tell him to make it a good strong hammock!" He called to her; before standing and turning to go back to his own betrothed. FIn
