Background: Daughter of a reputable admiral in the royal navy. She fought against being refined into a lady of society as much as she did to become the youngest ship captain and only female one in the country. She runs a tight ship much to the chagrin of her crew. Unfortunately her father and his ship vanished at sea before the Admiral Morcant could see his daughter's success.


Currently: exiled for (allegedly) holding the crown prince hostage in order to commandeer the fastest ship in the royal navy and it's crew.
Is in search of any information regarding the disappearance of her father's ship.

Background: Nerissa's father. Considered the finest officer in the Royal Navy; he was given an important mission from which he and the majority of his fleet never returned.

Currently: gone missing on an ill fated naval expedition, he was last seen going down with the ship and is presumed dead.

Background: Carefully concealing her race's signature ears she has been living in the human world running a sort of herbalist apothecary/tea shop. The shop is quite successful as she has a reputation for being able to give her customers precisely what they need. Exactly why she has left her people's world is still unclear.
