Battles were not something Sailor Circe actively went looking for. She didn’t get up every morning thinking ‘Man, I’d really like to fight a youma today.’ No, she certainly did not. Circe started her day like a normal person, fighting to get back to sleep and then finally giving up and getting on with her day. She’d plan what to wear, and maybe think of what she could do for fun at night Her regular idea of fun was not getting beat up by a youma.

But there she was, head to head with a snarling youma that looked like it was a sprinkler. It splashed water out from random spots on it’s body. The effect was an annoyed, soaked senshi. This was not on what she expected when she had henshined. Honestly, she had only powered up as a convenient way to cross town during rush hour traffic. Roof top hopping was a lot easier than trying to take the bus.

However, after a few jumps, Circe was ready to jump down to a safe alleyway. But, something had nabbed her, knocking her flat onto a rooftop. Youma and senshi rolled around, both fighting to get an upper hand. Struggling to her regain composure, Circe found herself face to face and underneath to the sprinkler-like youma that was spitting water everywhere. The surface of the roof became slick and wet.

Sailor Pasiphae hadn't intended to fight a youma today either, but she was beginning to feel that she should always be prepared to fight. So, when she had been walking along the streets of Destiny City and felt two energy signatures--one Senshi, one youma if she had learned anything about reading energy signatures yet--she quickly found an alley to jump into and henshin up. Then, she headed to the roof tops in order to see if she could get a visual sighting of the two targets.

It didn't take her long to find them, as they jumped to a rooftoop near by--a Senshi dressed in teal and white and... perhaps the oddest youma the Shame Senshi had seen (other than the one that attacked her at the library long ago, when she was still a civilian). Judging by how water dripped off of the unknown ally and from the Youma itself, it was going to be a wet day. Pasiphae did a quick check of the roof top and saw that it was gleaming in the midday sun. Without a second thought she kicked off her silver heels and made the double jump to the slick roof, wincing as her stocking feet hit the wet surface. She didn't like getting her feet wet, btu it was better than slipping right off of the roof.

She punched the youma back, hoping to give the prone Senshi beneath the strange creature time to rise. She called out, checking to see if the as yet unnamed Senshi was seriously hurt, "Are you alright?"

With Pasiphae’s punch, the youma was knocked off of Circe, flat onto it’s own stomach. It was slow to get up.

Taking advantage of her new found freedom, Circe jumped up. She was fairly drenched; her fuku was clinging to her skin. It was an uncomfortable feeling to say the least. Having a wet-shirt contest with a youma was not something she’d ever think to do. She shook off some of the water. At least it was refreshing, compared to the summer heat.

“Thanks.” Circe said off handedly, it was hard to tell whether or not she actually meant it. But the teal senshi smiled a bit. She could trade places with this new senshi. Her rescuer could take care of this little pest and she could continue on about her own business. “You can handle this one I think.” And almost right away, Circe made to jump away and onto the next roof.

The youma was going to have none of that. It’s arms were made up of coils of garden hose which, almost in the very same instant that Circe went to jump away, shot out to wrap around whatever limbs it could reach of both girls. Then it yanked hard.

Circe was caught by the ankle and forcefully fell backwards.

Pasiphae blinked in surprise as the drenched Senshi she had just helped tried to leap away. Handle it on her own? This was certainly a new idea; all of the Senshi she had met and fought with knew that it was quicker and easier if two of them worked together to defeat an enemy. The 'thanks' hadn't exactly been the warmest she had ever recieved either. She had to admit that it satisified her sense of justice a bit to see her companion go down, but that didn't mean that she wanted anyone to get hurt.

She leapt forward to strike the youma again and try to free the unknown Senshi, but this time the creature was prepared and shot a wet hose around her arm. Pasiphae sputtered through the water that struck her face, pulling as hard as she could to try and get away, "My power gives me the ability to cast a shield around myself; does yours do anything that might help us more?"

“More of the same.” Circe replied and rolled her eyes a little bit. Pasiphae sounded about as useful as a can opener. Actually, a can opener would probably be better in this situation. Pasiphae shielding herself was not going to help Circe! Especially when her own power was similar; she could temporary boost her own defense.

The youma started to pull back on its grip, forcing the senshis to slip and slide forward. Water continued to gush out. Then the youma opened its mouth, revealing teeth that looked like multiple tiny hedge trimmers. Really sharp shears. Likely, if either got to close, the youma would take a bite and it would not be just a trim.

Circe was already on her butt, as the youma pulled the two girls forward. For her, it was little bit like being on a slip n’ slide. The water had collected and pooled around the roof, and the teal suited sailor was easily slid forward. Before she slipped too close, Circe called out, “Molt Boost!”

A faint golden glow formed around the girl and sunk into her girl, almost disappeared. It was like a second skin, and hopefully it would help protect her if those sharp teeth came anywhere near her lovely face. As Circe slid towards the youma, her free foot landed a blow to the youma’s leg, knocking the youma’s legs far enough apart that the girl slipped straight between the two legs. Though she was still caught the youma’s hose-grip.

Pasiphae liked to believe in the best of Senshi, but she had never met someone like this one currently battling with her. Trying to run off? Rolling her eyes instead of trying to be helpful? Certainly... not the kind of person the Shame Senshi liked to interact with--it reminded her an awful lot like some of the more snobbish girls that went to Crystal Academy with her.

But that was a problem to sort out later; at the moment, they both needed to do their best against this strange youma if they wanted to get out with only minor injuries. Her own fuku was becoming as soaked as the teal Senshi's, but she tried not to let it distract her as she scrambled for a plan. The only thing that came to mind was for her to pull back on the hose that held her, so that the youma was simultaneously being stretched in two directions. Her wet, stocking feet threatened to lose their grip any minute, but she did her best to get a few steps back.

Safely passing through the youma’s legs, Circe slid as far as the length of hose would allow her. Quickly, she tried to undo the youma’s grasp on her leg, but it was too tight for her to loosen.

Since her attempt to get free was not going to work, she had to do something else. It was like Circe was a mindreader. When Pasiphae stared to pulled back on the youma’s hose, Circe noticed it and pulled on her own edge. With both girls pulling as hard as they could in opposite directions, the result was that the youma bent over and twisted in what looked like a truly uncomfortable manner. It cried out as it was flipped upside down on to it’s own back.

Circe scrambled to get up, and kept a tight rein on the hose attached to her ankle, as if it was a leash.

When her fellow Senshi followed suit in attacking the youma, the results seemed promising. The youma was certainly pained, at least, even if it continued to pelt the two of them with water. The Shame Senshi actually relaxed a little bit into the battle. Fighting youma was, unfortunately, something she understood. It allowed her to bury some of her insecurities about how the teal senshi had reacted to meeting her. As long as the two were fighting, complementing each other as a unit, it seemed like it was going okay.

Pasiphae planted one of her feet onto the top of the youma, wishing now that she hadn't kicked off her heeled shoes. They would've helped her maintain her posture and drive into the youma somewhat... but that was for another day. She continued to pull on her hose as hard as she could, hoping that the pressure that she and Circe were creating would eventually pop the youma apart.

Pop it did. With the tension of being pulled into different directions, the youma literally stretched to its limits and then burst in a flurry of water and youma dust. The result was a murky mix raining down where the youma had once been.

Now free from the grip of the sprinkler youma, Circe shook her leg around to make sure she was alright before taking a dash and sliding across the slick roof towards her momentary companion. ‘Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee’, was all she had in her head as she slide across the roof. Really, without a youma around, it was sort of fun. The teal senshi couldn’t help but smile.

Upon reaching Pasiphae, Sailor Circe took out her senshi phone and beeped Pasiphae into it. After the name came up on the screen, Circe looked up and down the other senshi, silently judging her. “Well, Pasiphae I presume, that was quite a show.”

Pasiphae was glad when the youma finally popped under the pressure, glad that another enemy had been removed from the equation and wouldn't be able to hurt anyone. The sludge like mixture that appeared all around them afterwards? Yeah, wasn't so glad about that. Still, when her companion pulled out her Senshi phone, the Shame Senshi followed suit, snapping a picture of who had to be Sailor Circe, judging by the text that soon accompanied the image. And the more she saw of this Senshi... the less she liked. Playing around in the remains of their enemy like a child? Not only was that gross, but it was... well, a little disgraceful.

Pasiphae drew herself as tall as she could, trying to maintain some dignity despite being coated in... well, youma mud. She brushied some of her soaked hair to the side before stiffly extending a hand to the new senshi. Pasiphae might not have liked how they were first introduced or approved of her play, but the teal-clothed girl was still a Senshi. That meant she earned a little politeness, "Yes, I'm Sailor Pasiphae, Senshi of Shame. It's nice to meet you, Circe."

Circe stood there for a moment taking in Pasiphae’s fairly stoney expression. Quickly, in her head, Circe labeled Pasiphae as a stick in the mud. There was no fun to be had with this one. Still she took the other senshi’s hand in a quick, loose shake.
“Nice. Sure, you can call it that. Whatever. You look awful, maybe you should go home and take a proper shower.”

The teal senshi was just as soaked, if not more, but without a mirror she could only assume that she looked like her normal self, only wet. Really, she was doing this other senshi a favor by telling her she looked bad.

“Now if you’ll excuse me, I have my own plans and things to attend to. “ One being getting home and having a nice hot bath and maybe have a facial. But Pasiphae didn’t need to know that.

Without saying much else, Circe took a leap and quickly was off, jumping from roof to roof on her way home and away from the stick in the mud Pasiphae.

Pasiphae stood on the roof top, covered in mud created by water and youma dust, and was truly flabberghasted. All she could do was stare as Circe leapt away, and she made no movement to follow her. What... what on earth had just happened? Okay, the Shame Senshi didn't take to Circe all that much, but that was no reason to be so rude. Pasiphae had at least made an effort to be polite, to be socialable, because she did believe in the idea of Senshi as one big team. But... oh, that attitude was infuriating!

That handshake had barely qualified as courtesy, and the sheer gall to comment on how she looked with such... disdain? If she had been noting an injury or showing concern, Pasiphae would have felt embarassed to be of trouble, but a purely cosmetic concern, something that was a natural effect of the battle? What kind of help was that supposed to be? Not a single thank you, not a single kind word, really...

She huffed to herself and began to head for home. Truth be told, she did want a shower and could probably manage to sneak into her house and get one before either of her parents got home. Maybe a warm shower would help to ease all the irritation she felt towards Circe too... although she somehow doubted it.
