I'm not quite myself these days.
Guess we all come undone, time to time in different ways.
Evanescence had Peace accompany her on the way to the to the city border. She was granted permission to leave the city, as long as she had a crew of body guards. Though, as much as she loved it when guys protected her, she had her friend, therefore she was fine.

He felt fairly odd, almost as if they were on a date, and hell, that's probably what it was. But he couldn't help but smile at how willing she was to take his hand. ''Let's go to that big... temple... thing. Yeah! Let's go there! MygodI'msobadatthis." He said, practically gonking at how horrible he was with women. Maybe it was time he stopped regulating every word out of his mouth... he had been doing that since they first met. Beth smiled awkwardly. She moved her hand holding to being taken by the arm. She put her other hand against his upper arm and leaned in. Oddly, he blushed when her head came into contact with his shoulder, but he did not hesitate or even flinch. He looked at her, with a small smile, before looking forward, trying not to make eye contact, to hide the fact that he was blushing, which could be easily shown across his pale skin. ''Hey, Elizabeth, can I ask you something?" He asked, though he didn't really wait for an answer, he was too nervous for that. If she even so much as spoke, he'd be too instilled with fear to say anything else; it had taken him a long time to gather even the slightest bit of courage... but just enough to ask this question. ''Do you... like me? I mean, I know it's a weird question, but I want to know... what you think of me. I realize I'm not some hormonal little skank like in the old days... when I was an Incubus... and if I'm going to have anything, I want it to be more than just... a physical thing." He didn't even know why he was saying what he did as he said it, but he continued on, his heart beating faster and faster before coming to a breaking point -- fear was all he felt. Why was he acting like this? He didn't like women... in that way...

He shyly smiled as he was complimented, though he didn't know how to return the compliment with just the right words. So he did not return it in words. That was not enough, for him. For this little moment that made his heart twist just the slightest bit.
He looked at her, in her eyes, and saw that he liked her the same. Shifting his position, he held her body close to his, with both arms, as he left her a light kiss on the lips. It wasn't much... there was no tongue, but he felt that it would show her that they felt the same. He was still adapting... still, getting out of his comfort zone... but he didn't regret anything he did. He liked it. And most of all, he liked her.
''That should tell you how I feel about you, Beth. I may be god awful with my words, but I think we can both see that I like you too. Hehe, all corny moments aside... can I do that again? I kinda... liked it." He said silently, blushing considerably, but at this point, he didn't care. She knew how he felt, now, and there was no shame in this.
