Sabia found herself stuck out in a terrible heat, it seemed a drought was upon what used to be a beautifully grassy plain. She glared hateful at the sky, avoiding a staring contest with the glowing orb then looked ahead. Luck seemed to be on the darkred pelted female. A tree, looking lonely and tired under the heat wave, stood alone and provided minimal shade. This was better than nothing the lioness decided and headed eagerly for the place to lay down and relax a moment. The next step would be to find water.

It seemed her luck was continuing though and she found the sun beginning to set, it might not get any less hot, but the sun being gone would mean less of a pain when walking around, she would leave as soon as the sun was completely set and she had rested.

That decided she let her head droop heavily on her paws and she let slow heaving breaths coax her into a gentle, light slumber that took her away to nightmares causing her to shake a little while she slept. Not thinking clearly, she hadn't thought about the fact that she was simply out in the open.

User ImageSiklab had set out from the den of rocks as soon as the sun began to set, heading toward the tree that was her next landmark. Her end goal was a pack, but the dog who had told her about it had only given her landmarks. And the next landmark was a stunted tree, growing alone in the middle of the plain.

She was a bit surprised when she was a female lion dozing under the tree, and slowly and carefully crept toward her to get a good sniff of her. Siklab just wanted to make sure she wasn't dead before she began scanning the horizon for her next landmark, an upthrust rock.

Well the lioness was breathing and she didn't smell rotting. She was probably fine. Still, this wasn't a good place to sleep. Siklab gave her back a cautious poke with a paw.

Sabia`Deimos was awakened by a small poking at her back, the pelt she wore almost numbed the feeling, but she was certain. Not being a very good morning person, and not a small lioness her next move may or may not scare the person bothering her away. Standing up slowly, gaining her full height carefully and surely she turns slowly to stare at the.. wild dog? She hadn't seen a wild dog in days, probably weeks. She yawned a huge yawn and growled halfway through. Her image was aggressive, she bore the pelt and skull mask of a dead lioness, with bird skull and teeth as mere decorations. That alone struck awareness in most cases.

At the current time though she just stared, then simply opened her mouth and in a short sentence blatantly asked.. "What do you want?" Her tone was bored and drone like, she had just been lucky enough to get some sleep and ignore her thirst when this female comes in and disturbs her?! She groaned softly as her body got used to her standing and then she drops her rump, sitting and awaiting an explanation.

Siklab backed several up by several long paces from the lioness. Lions tended to outweigh and out reach wild dogs in any case, but this one was a bit bigger then average, and the space between them made Siklab feel more comfortable. She hadn't actually meant to bother the lioness, she just . . . well, let's face it, this was a crappy place to sleep. Unprotected, and with no one to watch your back? Stupid.

"I was just checking to see if you were okay. This seems like a pretty strange place to take a nap, even for a lioness."

"What do you, wild dog, know what a lioness should or should not do?" Sabia was starting to show signs of heat sickness, to much sun and simply, not enough water. She was being stupidly aggressive and stared just as aggressively at the wild dog. Had it been a better day she may have realized why the wild dog was concerned, but for now she was simply going by instinct and not thoughts and instinct told her that the wild dog was a potential meal.

"Hm.. wild dooog." She growled the species name this time and simply glared.

Siklab backed up further, more wary of the lioness now but also recognizing the signs of heat sickness. If she was clever, she'd be able to get the lioness into a pool of water and maybe clear her head and solve the problems - she knew wild dogs were not normally prey for lions.

"Nothing, just that the heat in the middle of the day is not a place to sleep, especially when there's shaded spots and a rocky pool just to the south."

Siklab backed up even farther, so she had to raise her voice to be sure the lioness would hear her.

"I can take you to the water if you're thirsty."

She was still poised to run - heat sickness did strange things to people, and Siklab knew one wild dog was not a difficult fight for one lioness, if she could catch her.

Her tongue stuck to the roof of her pathetically dry mouth, today was a rare day where Sabia was one with her inner cub and found herself staring needingly at the Wild Dog. Water!? She could not refuse the idea of it, this Wild Dog was here to help, though what happened after when Sabia regained her full strength no one could really know, in her topsy turvy world anything is possible.

"Where is the water?" She asked quickly, eyes getting a little too needy, She crept forward a little, not wanting to completely scare the dog off with her to sudden movements. "I need it."

Her words were almost a whisper, as if she were to burst into hysterics at any point. She liked having control of her body, though her actions normally weren't any better, but at least she had control.. this wild dog could return that to her. She wasn't grateful, she figured that it was part of a code of conduct here in the wild, to help someone out in this kind of heat.

"I can tell you need it. Just follow me, I'll take you to the water."

Siklab estimated that the water was about four minutes away at a run, and maybe a ten minute walk. Hopefully, the lioness would stay more or less sane and stay with her long enough to get to the little pool.

"Just keep following me, stay with me. It's not too very far. You'll be in the water soon, come on, come on,"

She kept the coaching up as the giant lioness followed her. She had to just keep her moving before she got any worse or decided that the wild dog she was following had water in her stomach.
"It's cool and clear and you'll feel much better after drinking it."

Please let this work.
