The Misty Bow

The Misty Bow is a relatively new shop in Kirigakure, and is run by the Acha Sisters. The Misty Bow specializes in ranged weapons and bows in particular. Compared to the Bloody Blade the Misty Bow is open and cool, with bows of various sizes and styles located along both walls and hanging above the counter, even a few of Ishi's handmade crossbows sit on the counter. Behind the counter is an area roughly half the size of show area, there are three stations, each with a single chair. Each station belongs to one of the three Acha Sisters, Yumi's being on the far left, Ishi's being in the middle, and Sakura's being on the far right.

Selling Prices

You can craft your own items and sell it to the market for a certain amount of Ryo. The amount of Ryo you will receive is your Craft DC divided by 5, rounding down.
Post the item's stats, and we will probably post the item in the Store Item List. Remember, the store has a limited quantity of items, so also post when you buy something and how much you bought.

Kirigakure Weapons and Equipment

Bow: The bow and arrows is the oldest and most useful ranged weapon in history. The bow must be used gracefully and therefore has no strength bonus on its damage.
65 Ryo

Composite Long Bow: A bow with a string that is far harder to pull. This allows the weapon to deal more damage.
100 Ryo

Crossbow: A device much like a bow which uses a trigger to hold the string pulled back in place, and upon setting an arrow in place it can be fired with a great deal more power than a normal bow at any time they see fit after loading.
80 Ryo

Wooden Arrow: A common arrow with a pointed tip at the end of a shaft with fletching to make it fly straight.
10 Ryo for 25

Steel Arrow: A more advanced arrow made of hallowed steel to make the arrow more damaging and durable.
10 Ryo for 12

Barbed Arrow: A common arrow usually only has barbs at the head. Yet this arrow has barbs all the way down the shaft almost to the fletch. This prevents removal without tearing flesh with it.
10 Ryo for 15

Fire Arrow: An ignition source of some kind is wrapped around the rear of the arrow tip and lit on fire before firing.
12 Ryo for 8

Kozuka: The kozuka is a really small throwing knife (~7 inches) that can be used to deal heavy damage if used correctly or along a sneak attack. They were usually mounted on the sheath of larger swords that the shinobi carried. In addition the kozuka can be used for many things including preparing meals. Basically they are your shinobi's utility knife.
5 Ryo

Senbon: The senbon was first used by doctors in acupuncture, it was then adopted by ninja and Hunter-nins to hit points on the body to cause death, deaden limbs or cause their target to fall unconscious.
2 Ryo for 10

Batsu waltzed right into the new shop. Upon entering, he felt compelled to examine the content of the store. The boy went through the area and saw all types of arrows, senbon and other such long-ranged weaponry. It was like he stumbled into heaven... of course, he was happy to see the seemingly endless possibilities. However, the archery set appealed to him the most. So he walked up to the counter with the said weaponry and looked down at what was up for sale. Batsu didn't have much money, but that didn't stop him from spectating.

Yumi watched the new potential customer walk in and she bowed poiltely to him before standing back up and noticing the bow strapped to his back. The female smiled at him ever-so-politely and stretched forth her hand towards him. "I hope you don't take this as being straight-forward, but may I see your bow for just a minute?"

Batsu did find it a bit odd that two minutes into him showing up, some stranger wanted to see his main offensive weapon. However, only after a slight hesitation, he unstrapped the bow and gave it to the shopkeeper. She ended up looking the thing up and down, stretched the weapon out and noted the specs of the weapon. She gave the bow back to Batsu.

""Oh, forgive my manners. I am Asha Yumi. This is the Misty Bow. We specialize in long-ranged weaponry. I am the eldest sister and am an archery expert. We have a target field out back, so if at anytime you wish to use it, feel free. My sisters and I will be more than happy to assist you,"

Right then and there, Batsu's eyes lit up. The thought of having a place to train his archery skills excited him to no end. "Hello... I'm Watanabe Batsu. I would like to see your training field if you don't mind."

Yumi led Batsu to the back of the counters and through a curtained door. Outside was a decent-sized field that had a wooden divider that had all sorts of holes in it from where the were prodded from weapons. To the right of the training field were materials needed for traing. Ninja tools, target paper in different sizes, everything one could think of was there in infinite supply. Batsu was like a kid in a candy store and he immediately ran to the spot on the field that looked worn down. Batsu wanted to train and he wanted to co so as soon as possibly could.

Yumi giggled heartily as she walked over to the storage area and grabbed a target sheet and enough arrows for the training. She then walked over to the opposite side of the field and planted the bullseye on the wall. As she headed towards Batsu to give him arrows, she described the training that was about to take place.

"I believe you shinobi do this type of training in the academy. I will give you ten arrows per set. Two sets will take place... the first set will just be you shooting your arrows. After that, I will give you a few tips then will leave you to do another set. Got it?" Yumi finished her description with a smile as she offered the arrows to Batsu.

Batsu eagerly grabbed the arrows from Yumi and placed them in his container on his back. " I accept..."Batsu reached behind him and grabbed the first arrow. He politely waited for Yumi to move out of the way.

[17 + 9 = 26]
Batsi secured his arrow into his bow and drew back. The boy waited until Yumi disappeared from his sight. Last thing he wanted was for a trainer of his to die from his recklessness.Once Yumi was off the field, Batsu right eye closed, leaving his left eye open to zero in on the target. The boy spread his legs shoulder-width apart, his arms were firm, shoulders relaxed, breathing natural. The male's technique was damn near perfect. He was elegant in his stance and when the boy released the strand, the arrow hit the line right before the bullseye. In wasn't dead center, but for what it was worth, the boy did well.

[20 + 9 = 29]

Batsu dropped his bow so he could see where exactly the arrow landed. As he opened his other eye, he saw the arrow penetrated the middle ring. The boy was unhappy because he was sure he hit the center of the target. A bit agitated, Batsu picked up his weapon, grabbed an arrow and loaded it into the bow. Batsu closed the same eye and for some odd reason, tilted his head to the side. The boy stayed like that until he released the arrow.

Yumi watched the boy tilt his head and it made her tilt her own head in curiosity. Never before had she seen such a strange quirk. But even weirder was the fact that the quirk end up giving him a perfect bulls eye. She couldn't say anything negative. If the head tilting kept giving result like this then what was she to do? No arguing with results.

[18 + 9 = 27]
Batsu didn't even bother to Lose his focus to look at what he hit... he was just THAT confident in his shot. All he did was got himself another arrow and prepared for his third shot.He maintained his posture and even kept his head tilted as he let go of the strand. Batsu wasn't so confident and had to drop the bow down to his side. To his surprise,he saw that the arrow was just inside the line of the center. He wasn't too excited about that, but he hit it... enough said.

[1+9 = 10]
Batsu smiled happily as he went on to shoot more arrows. Little did he know that this changed in attitude was going to prove to be detrimental. As Batsu loaded and released the next arrow, he was no where near as focused as he was before. It was made apparent when the boy looked down at the target and the arrow missed the target entirely. Batsu's demeanor changed drastically and he started feeling bad. He was showing what skill he had, and his facade was now torn to pieces with that horrible miss.

[19 + 9 = 28]
Batsu felt bad about doing so well and had to try to get himself back on the upswing. The young male went back into his "zen mode" and tried to block the epic fail out of his mind. Batsu's posture improved drastically and he loaded the bow up again. Batsu smiled heavily as he released the bow strand. The bow was definitely confident about the release. The boy dropped his bow and looked down at the target. He struck the bulls-eye a little left from the exact center. Not perfect, but still a very good shot.

[6 + 9 = 15]

"Great... now I need to keep this trend going..." Batsu said to himself as he reached behind him and grabbed another arrow to shoot. The boy missed one shot altogether and thought of it as a fluke. Little did he know that it wasn't the case. Batsu loaded the bow as usual and as he went to draw back he noticed that his hands were unsteady. This was not good. He tried waiting a while to see if he could calm down. That didn't help at all and eventually he got to the point to where he stopped caring. The boy went ahead and released the arrow. The boy didn't even bother to see what he hit... or didn't hit.

[2 + 9 = 11]
Batsu tried his hardest to shake off the problem that came up. The boy had hit a major slump and it was hindering his performance significantly. It took for Batsu to stay stationary for a moment before he continued. Sad thing about it was that it did little to try to regain his composure. The poor guy was still jittery as he grabbed another arrow. He loaded it up into the bow and just went ahead and released. Batsu had clearly stopped caring.

[6 + 9 = 15]
Another bad shot, and Batsu's state of mind changed. The boy was at one point happy to be where he was. Now he was as miserable as ever. His shots were not hitting the target and, to make matters worse, someone saw him failing. Batsu just grabbed another arrow and placed it inside the bow. Batsu was clearly disappointed. He just pulled back and released. The boy developed a defeated attitude and it wasn't pretty at all.

[8 + 9 = 17]
By now, Batsu was over it. He was too pissed at himself to keep going. The boy's posture became slouched, his positioning was poor, the boy grabbed an arrow and loaded it improperly. His prep time was slowed and his approach was even worse. Batsu pulled back and just released the arrow with no aim whatsoever. Batsu just didn't give a damn anymore. He wanted to leave.

[2 + 9 = 11]
Okay, now this was just too much. Batsu wanted to throw his bow down and go home. But the boy was way too stubborn to give up like that. He decided that now was a good time as any to take a break. Hopefully resting would revive his broken spirit and cause him to get back to shooting arrows like he knew what he was doing. So the boy just dropped his head and bow. He sighed a heavy sigh of frustration as he did so. He was nomally good at this type of thing, what the hell was wrong with him?!

[Fail]
Yumi saw the poor guy beat himself up and it wasn't the most pleasent thing she saw. But she knew the only one that had thhe possibility of cheering him up was her. So she gave the boy a few pointers. "Giving up accomplishes nothing. So I think you need to give it one more go... and this time, TRY. Otherwise, you'll keep missing and you'll be here forever! Your team wouldn't be happy about that, would they?"

[Pass]
Yumi was right. He knew he had given up and that wasn't something that Batsu liked doing. He eventually bent down and picked his bow up from the ground. This time though, he shook his disappointment off and got himself back into the proper stance. The boy grabbed an arrow, loaded his bow, drew back and let go. The shot arrow ended up hitting the target, which was something he was unable to do in his emotional funk.

[Fail]
Batsu's morale jumped up just a small bit after the previous success. However, he knew to not let it get to his head. The possibility of a fluke was still imminent. Unfortunately for the boy, it came to be so. Batsu loaded and shot the next arrow... and who would have thought that it would miss? Somehow Batsu did and he started to think that psychic predicting was his calling as opposed to archery. Of course, he was joking... maybe.

[Fail]
Batsu did his best to listen to what his instructor said and he kept up the faith. Admittedly, it was hard to do since he was failing pretty bad. The boy loaded another arrow and rather than letting go, Batsu held his stance. The boy was concentrating on his shot as opposed to just letting go like he usually did. It looked weird, but the boy wanted to do right by his training.

Batsu walked into the shop again. The difference between the first time he was here and now is the fact that at this point in time, the boy had money. So now he could buy something which was definitely good because he was running low on his arrow supply. The boy casually walked up to the counter and saw that the youngest female was in charge of the area. He immediately tried to haggle her down with his charm and looks. It didn't work, sadly and he was clearly upset about it. So the boy reached in his pocket, pulled out 10 ryu and exchanged it for some of the steel arrows. They looked more powerful and hopefully the would be worth the money. After a thank you and a goodbye, Batsu walked out of the shop and headed to the academy. He was curious to see what the next wave of ninjas looked like.
