It was now a day after Kira had received the Sniper Game Death Note. The night before, he had decided to observe and test the notebook's power on a few high-profile citizens that he happened to spot. After writing in "Dorothy," "Scarecrow," "Tin Man," and "The Cowardly Lion", he learned something: absolutely none of them died. These tests were quite deliberate, though. He now discovered a few extra rules:

1) The Notebook cannot function with only a first name.
2) Inanimate objects cannot be killed. Even if they are alive persons regardless of the fact that they are inanimate objects.
3) Animals cannot be killed either.

Or maybe, just maybe, it was a fourth possibility.

4) He couldn't kill any of them because this is a Sniper Game Death Note and they weren't in the freaking Sniper Game.

Of course, he had no way of telling who was, and who wasn't in the Sniper Game. It was a large town, after all. So he decided to squirrel away both theories in the caverns of his mind. It was a day of learning for Kira.

He was just about to go home, when he noticed a fellow, Shadow_Articuno, was bolting across the sidewalk. He watched as Articuno suddenly slapped down a pair of handcuffs on a lady's hand - A lady's hand that was not actually attached to a lady.

"Mrs. Great Will of the Macrocosm, you are under arrest for the jailbreak of a notorious killer! Even if she did not actually kill anyone in this universe. Whatever! Don't underestimate the information network of the police. You're comin' with me to the station."

"Oh noooooooooo!" The Will lamented as she was dragged off to a police car.

Still watching, Kira scratched his chin. A law officer, huh? It couldn't hurt to get one of them out of his way before he continued to kill. After all, he was on to that Macrocosm lady and she had reality warping powers. A person like this was dangerous to Kira, and everything that Kira stood for: namely, killing others in strange and interesting ways.

He didn't know Articuno's real name. However, he was confident that in order to silence him, he didn't need to kill him ... yet. Once he was in jail, his true name would be forced to light. Now all he had to do was get the other cops to distrust him and think he was the murderer. Or... any other crime really. At this point it wasn't too important, actually.

Kira decided the best way to get Articuno jailed would be to call up his cousin that worked for Nintendo.

That evening, the officer would be driven away to Copyright Infringement Jail. Because there can only be one Articuno.....

Satisfied with his victory, Kira retired without killing any Sniper Gamers. After all, he had all the time in the world.
