Sun Chaser paddled around in the lake, paying little attention to what he was doing, one of the good things about being a Nixie was that swimming came naturally. It was a great day to be in the water, there was little to no wind and the water was near still. The sounds of nature were all around, a waterfall in the distance, the occasional chirping of birds, the rustling of leaves, and the snapping of branches created wonderful background noise.
Today was a particularly warm day and Sun Chaser smiled as the sun warmed the fins on his back. He loved when the sun was out, but it tended to dry him out faster than usual. Even now he could feel his back drying. He started to swim towards the center, when he reached the deepest part of the lake he took a deep breath and disappeared under the water out. As much as he loved the sun, he needed the water and loved to explore under the surface of lakes, ponds, and rivers.

 Chogan could feel the rays of the sun, beat upon his back like tumbling water. He felt his coat's dampened state with each and every step he took. He hated heat. It wasn't that it was terrible out, but he seemed to realize the weather's extremities before anyone else did.
He saw a body of water not too far off, his mind quickly replaying a dangerous seen of a kelpi and his foal self, before shaking it away and going closer. He was hot, and he was thirsty.
He placed his front hooves into the water, looking down at his reflection, feeling his sweaty hair move slowly over his shoulder like clumps of mud. He hated sweating. He moved out further into the water, feeling the chill of the cool liquid sooth his skin and muscles. He sighed in content, taking a few drinks. It wasn't so bad. No one was here, and hopefully it stayed that way.

Sun Chaser was swimming around towards the bottom of the lake, with the bottom feeders and other creatures when he heard the water about splashing. As he peered up at the surface of the lake he vaguely saw ripples signifying that something else was at the edge of the lake.
He started his way back to the surface through the weeds that were pretty thick at the very bottom of the lake. He felt his hair tangling with the underwater foliage and milfoil 'it'll come out later,' he thought. Sun was swimming at a normal speed for him, but it was pretty fast to the other creature under the water with him right now. As he got closer to the surface he slowed to a stop. He floated under the surface looking at the soquili standing in the water. He seemed a little bit hesitant to be in the water.
As he floated just below the surface he felt the fins on his back breach the surface. Sun immediately sank lower into the water. Unfortunately for him the made him stand out more because now instead of just a little ripple, which might have been unnoticed there were also bubbles from where he had just sunk down.
