Harriet found that having moved in and been enrolled at the beginning of summer, classes were still finishing of from the last term so there was little to do other than to acquaint ones self with the school and it's grounds, now from a student's perspective rather and than an onlooker or a visitor on an open day. She had yet to venture towards the grounds and more importantly the gardens and the greenhouses, she'd neglected her personal study of her Druidism skills since finding an alcove in the library off the beaten track, so to speak, where she was surrounded by books which fed her imagination and hunger for information and more importantly, so in bowels of the library, few others seem to venture so it met little interaction with other students, much to her liking.
It was growing late one evening and her eyes were admittedly quite tired from the constant reading of the last couple of days so she'd called it a day and was heading back to her room in the Reapers section of the school building(s). Distracted with the thoughts of what she'd read today and trying to process all the knowledge to comfortably store it away in her mind she failed to realise her door was slightly ajar as she pressed her hand to the mahogany panelled door and walked into her room. She plopped her cane into the coat stand close to the door and strode over to her desk. She placed her hand upon the thick wooden desk which gave her comfort from the familiarity, like laying eyes on an old friend, then carefully lowered her battered leather satchel on the floor besides it. She then focused on Dog whom was sleeping fitfully in his teacup upon her desk. She then swung her eyes across the room and noticed neither Scamper or Scurry were investigating the crooks and crannies of the bookcases like they usually did, until she spotted Scamper whom was hanging off the last bookcase closest to the door, staring at it longingly.
Damn and blast, remembering she'd simply pressed her hand to the door and walked straight in rather than having to turn the hand, she'd left it ajar that morning in her hurry to get to the library. Putting two and two together, the way Scamper stared at the door and it having been open she concluded Scurry had escaped. She scratched her head, ruffling up her already ruffled hair and then strode purposely towards the door, turning before she left to wag her finger at Scamper, 'You'd best hope I find your counterpart in mischief quickly or else I'll be sticking him in the monsters dorm to run free and trying to avoid being eaten at all times!' With that she strode out into the corridor, ensuring the door was closed behind her this time.
