This a basic Yutani dorm with two beds and all the basic appliances that are provided to the students. After a bit though, Talnar set up a work bench for his strange eldar weaponry ( namely the shuriken pistol and his witchblade)
PostPosted: Sun Jul 24, 2011 9:41 am

As the two finally reached the dorm room, Talnar looked at the number on the door and a wave of relief flooded over him. He was glad that he could finally rest for a bit. So, with haste, Talnar laid his weapon on the wall and fumbled through his puch for the key until he finally found it. While the locks that were being used were primative and not what talnar was used to, he realised how to open the door after a few moments, granted though he was a bit confused as to what he was suppose to do until he realised it was as simple as just putting it in and turning it clockwise. With the lock now open, he pushed the door open to see a dark room, the lens in his helmet though adjusted to give him a sort of nightvision type of view and he saw what was inside. It looked so different to what he was use to but he knew he would have to adjust. At least he was able to see what it was that he could rest on. While not the type of bed he was used to, he felt it would just have to make due in the meantime. Getting his arm off Kana, he picked up his blade, the glow naturally returning to it, and he slowly straggled his way towards the bed. Upon reaching the side, he dropped his sword, a loud metal clank being coming from the impact. Slowly, he reached up to his helmet and unlocked some latches that were difficult to find to those not use to wear a warlocks gear. With some air sonuds coming out of it, and the red eyes of the helmet going dark, Talnar slowly raised the helmet off his head, revealing light blue hair, almost white, Elf ears, and his hair being short cut in the back. He dropped the helmet next to hus sword, his back still facing kana until he turned around as he slowly got on to the bed, his face finally revleaing that of a young man in his late teens most probablly. But, in truth he was at least over five centuries old. The life span of the eldar on average would lead up to eight centuries, and thats just for regular civilians and such. For seers as himself, it usually lasted till they were killed since no seer, be it a warlock, a spiritseer, or a farseer, was ever seen dieing to natural causes.

With a sigh, the metallic sound now gone as well. Talnar looked at the ceiling. "I can't believe i'm still alive..." He said to himself but audible. His voice now sounded of a calm young man. No harshness or cold feelings were heard in his voice. That metallic sound was gone. Now it was just the voice of a person who was at peace.User Image

☯☯ Kanakami looked up as they finally reached their destination, Dorm number 106, finally.
Idly, she questioned herself mentally what the room would look like inside, though she wouldn't concern herself much with it for now.
Her eyes slid over to Talnar as he laid his sword on the wall, and began fishing through his satchel for the key, managing to find it.
It took him a few moments to figure out how to unlock the door, but finally got it, and pushed the door open.
The room was dark inside, though Kana was able to make out the outlines of shapes within it.
She looked to Tal again as he got his arm off of her, grabbing the sword again, and making his way into the room.
Kana followed in after him, not being able to find the light switch at the moment, so she concentrated, allowing Kaya to channel some of her power into one arm, and a small, bright, flickering white flame appeared on the end of her ring finger, illuminating a good portion of the room as she closed the door behind them.
She winced slightly as a loud, metallic clanking noise sounded from close by, and held her flame up, seeing Talnar lying on one of the beds.
He then reached a hand up to the helmet on his head, and seemed to fiddle around with it a bit, before there was a slight hissing sound, almost like pressurized air being released from a soda bottle, and the helmet's red eyes became black.
The helmet came off, revealing the face of what looked to be a youngish elf boy, light blue hair, elf ears, green eyes.
' Well, whaddaya know, he actually does have a real face,' mused Kana in her mind, walking towards the other bed, holding the flame on her finger high and looking about the room.
It was a bit plain-looking, aside from the commodities one would not expect to have in the usual dorm room, kitchenette, the balcony, a rather large bathroom, and a TV.
Shrugging a bit, she walked over towards the other bed, laying herself onto it, facing up to the ceiling, though she was looking at her hand, making Kaya's little white flame hop from finger to finger idly.
She heard Talnar sigh, though it seemed much more different from how it had been with the helmet on, it wasn't cold or had that feeling of soulessness to it.
He spoke, saying that he couldn't believe he was still alive, she wasn't sure if he was talking to himself, but it sure was loud enough for her to hear it.
Kana turned her head to look at him, raising an eyebrow to him, " Whaddaya mean you're still alive? You sure don't look half-dead to me," she asked, wondering what had prompted him to say that. ☯☯

Talnar gave a slight chuckle at Kana's comment. He didn't look half dead. Well of course not, he was patched up earlier. And anyway, the way a D-cannon works is quite odd. " Listen, kana was it not? I'm lucky my armor saved me. But, I guess i should explain to you what i mean." He started as he put his hands behind his head and his sight stayed with the ceiling. " I might as well start with explaining where i'm from and such. I'm an Eldar Spiritseer from craftworld Ulthwe, So you know since i highly doubt you know what a craftworld is, it is basically a enormous ship that is home to billions of Eldar. There are various, Ulthwe, Iyanden, Alaitoc, just to name a few. Anyway, in my timeline or dimension, There is nothing but pure strife between races. We fight to survive. And on this day, like any other day. I was sent on a mission with my warhost to overrun a human outpost. I tend lead what we call in my race, wraithguard. They are constructs which we build so that the spirit of our dead can continue to fight for us. Anyway, we were in one of transport vehicles and i had foolishly ordered our pilot to go all out so that we may hurray to our destination. Unfortunately, the driver was shot from a sniper and lost control of the vehicle, causing it to crash. Upon impact, one of the wraithguard shot me by mistake with a D-cannon. Which is their weapon, and since those are built to tear through reality it is my belief that my armor was able to save me but send through a rip and that's how i'm here. And that's why i'm grateful i'm even alive. Those weapons are not nice." He finished telling her as he rolled to the side with a slight grunt from the pain. " That's basically a small segment of my life. What about yours? I am quite curious as to why i since two different thought patterns from one body." He told her, basically asking her about Kaya.

☯☯ Kanakami glanced over to Talnar as he chuckled a bit at her comment, but kept her attention on him as he addressed her by her name, seemingly a bit relieved that he had not called her 'child' again.
He said that he was lucky his armor had saved him, but said that he supposed he should explain to her what he meant.
As he put his hands behind his head, still gazing at the ceiling, he started on his story.
Kana listened carefully, taking in every detail, he was an Eldar Spiritseer from some place called craftworld Ulthwe, which was one of a whole crap-ton of huge-a** ships that house billions of these Eldar people.
She began piecing together some of what he was saying, so, an Eldar was like an elf, right? And a craftworld was like a similar version of a space ship, except bigger and able to hold billions of residents aboard it, so, they were elves, from space
Though she was rather lost on what the hell a 'Spiritseer' was, she kept listening as he went on, saying that in his dimension, there was nothing but strife and war between races, and that they had to fight to survive.
Tal had been sent on a mission with his 'warhost' to overrun a human outpost, leading what the Eldar called 'Wraithguard,' which were essentially constructs that they built so that the spirits of the dead could continue fighting for them.
She listened as he went on, saying how the pilot of the transport vehicle he had been on was shot by a sniper, causing them to crash, and one of the wraithguard had mistakenly shot him with a D-Cannon.
Even though Tal's armor had managed to save him, he had been thrust through a dimensional rift, and that had been how he ended up at Mitomi High, and why he was grateful to be alive.
" Sure sounds like it," she huffed a bit, nodding, if she had been shot with one of those D-Cannons, she would need a miracle to even make it through.
She watched him as he shifted over to one side, giving a small grunt form the pain, and saying that was basically a small part of his life, and asking about hers, he was curious as to why he sensed two different thought patterns from one body.
Kana raised an eyebrow at him, smirking slightly, " Sensing thought patterns, eh? So ya already know Kaya and I share a body, have to say I'm quite impressed," she remarked.
Now about his question on their life, Kana sat up, pulling her legs up so that her knees were against her chest, " Kaya doesn't like to have her life's story shared, but I suppose an exception can be made... Anyways, it all started when she was just a baby...
She says she can't remember much of who her parents were, but she does know that she was taken away from them by force, and was thrown into a slave caravan.
The trek lasted for years, with little food, little water, little privacy for the slaves, Kaya said she remembered there being children even younger than her that had also been untimely taken away from their parents...
As sickly and malnourished as she was, Kaya was able to live through all those years of sheer hunger and torture, many others weren't so fortunate as her, she was lucky she even made it through childhood in those conditions.
After arriving at the slave market, she stayed there a couple months, and was then auctioned off to some rich, egghead aristocrat named Dreyyvek.
He was a blessing to her after years of agony and suffering on the caravan trail, he fed her well, gave her a warm bed to sleep in, treated her with kindness and respect, even educated her in his private study.
In return for his kind favors, Kaya cooked and cleaned around the mansion for him, she did whatever he asked, he never whipped, beat, or demeaned her, she became one of his favorites, out of the, oh what, ten thousand other slaves he owned?
Anyways, just when Kaya thought life was perfect at her new home, that's when everything started to go all to hell.
Dreyyvek's mannerisms towards her changed dramatically when she was around 16, he still talked to her, though his train of thought was distant, and he seemed rather unfocused... not to mention his conduct towards her became more personal, in more of a rather lustful manner.
At first, Kaya decided to play innocent and think nothing much of how strangely her master was behaving towards her, but that was until IT happened."

Kana paused a moment at the last phrase, the stone-hard expression she normally wore was gone, replaced by a mixture of sadness, and a few subtle hints of anger.
" One stormy night, when she had been sweeping the kitchen for the last time of the night before going to bed, Dreyyvek ambushed her, and attempted to rape her.
Poor Kaya was struggling, trying to get him off, asking him, begging him to stop.
She told me that she had then screamed, and everything went blank, and when she woke up, she was crouching over her master's dead body, with a large, bloody chef's knife in her hand.
Terror and sorrow overcame her when she realized what she had done, and so she fled the mansion, out into the icy downpour, and never went back.
She has been running all the time, not always physically, but mentally as well, trying to escape those terrible memories, Dreyyvek had been a blessing to her, only to have taken advantage of her trust in him for his own, personal lust and pleasure, makes me wish I could've killed the thrice-damned b*****d myself,"
her tone faded to cold, emotionless, though there was an underlying want of vengeance within.
" Ever since the incident and murder of Dreyyvek, Kaya has found it hard to trust others these days, fearing that if she does, they'd only use it to manipulate her for their own wants, like her master had.
That's when I came in, I'm the embodiment of Kaya's distrust, all the trauma she has faced in the past, and her fear of facing similar events in her future.
I've taken it upon myself to protect Kaya, from anyone who would wish to use her to fulfill their own wants, those who wish to cause her harm of any form, that is why I'm not very trusting of these new people that she's meeting ever since coming to Mitomi High for refuge.
Kaya still tries to forget her past, sugarcoating her true emotions with joy and cheerfulness on the outside, when really, she's so torn up on the inside, she's afraid to show others how she truly feels.
She thinks this place, Mitomi High, might help her to start again with a clean slate, help her forget her past traumas and look forward to a brighter future,"
Kana finished, nodding her head and crossing her arms over her chest.
After she had no more to say, she flashed a scowl to Talnar, her face becoming stone-hard again, and her blunt tone returning, " Don't tell ANYONE else that I told you ANY of this stuff, got it?" ☯☯

Talnar gave all his attention to kana, listening to everyword about the girl's life and such. It answered his question as well, how Kana came to be in Kaya's body. While he was used to something similar where he was from, usually it was a negative effect on the person, their emotions and feelings becoming an embodiment for a daemon and such. He would know, he should know, it's the exact reason why his race was dieing. He shook the thoughts away though and continued to listen and when the part of Dreyyvek was mentioned, all Talnar did was give cocky smirk and say.." Humans..." He felt it was that kind of depravity that would be the true end to Humans, but that was his opinion. But, to some degree he did have to feel pity for Kaya for gong through so much in her short life. He wondered how long she would last where he was from. Maybe not long, but with Kana, probably a decent amount of time.

" Well....the child Kaya is fortunate to have such a protective entity in her. " He told her as he shifted onto his back once more with a pained grunt. Feeling a bit better he looked at the girl and raised his hand toward her. He did not forget his end of the deal, and even though probably the short term affects of his psychic influence on her might of worn out, he did not want any long term problems, like braincells dieing since the brain could probably not get adjusted to such an influence on it. There's a reason why his witchblade channels psychic energy from him, it's so when he makes bare contact with one's flesh with his blade, he can turn the victims brain into a puddle of goop. Around his body, a circle formed with runes that only Talnar could understand, the same circle appeared around Kana and he began to reverse any damage he had done. In a few seconds he finished and dropped his hand. It hung off the edge of the bed and he opened his mouth to begin to speak. " There is my end of the bargain." He told her as he lifted his arm back onto the bed.

☯☯ Kanakami had kept one eye on Talnar, who seemed to be listening well as she told Kaya's story, and when she made mention of the girl's old master, she noticed a sort of cocky grin on the elf's face as he simply remarked 'humans.'
After she had finished, he spoke again, saying that Kaya was fortunate to have a protective entity in her.
Kana simply nodded, glancing over to her hand a moment as she continued to play around with the flame on her fingers.
She felt that maybe she could trust him, sort of, to not relay what she had said to anyone else, Talnar certainly seemed to be someone to keep things to himself, mostly.
Her attention returned to him as he shifted over onto his back, another pained grunt coming from him, before he looked to her, and raised a hand.
All of the sudden, a circle of some strange, runic looking language appeared around him, and, a few seconds after, the same circle appeared around herself.
She could not make any sense whatsoever of what the symbols meant, but it only lasted for a couple seconds, before it faded away, and Tal's hand fell, hanging off the edge of his bed.
Kana gave him a weird look as he said that there was his end of the deal, she had no idea of what the hell he just did, but she shrugged it off, it hadn't been anything to harm her, after all.
" Thanks, I guess," she said, laying back down on the bed, her head resting upon the pillow.
She turned over on her side to face him momentarily, keeping her flame-hand away from any contact with the sheets, as to not catch anything afire, and spoke, " By the way, before I nod off, mind if I ask that, since ya seem to be stuck here in this dimension, do ya ever wish to go back to your own place? What was it called... craftworld Ulthwe, ya ever wish to go back there?"
She was curious as to if he wanted to return to his former dimension after being blasted here by that 'D-Cannon,' and if maybe he had family or friends back at craftworld Ulthwe that might be missing him.
In a world of strife and war, that was probably unlikely, but still, she was curious. ☯☯

A clean and simple "your welcome" was all that escaped Talnar's lips after being thanked by Kana. His mind was planning, wondering, imagining on what he were to do next. He wasn't sure that it would be possible for him to ever go back, and honestly, he did not know anything about this world. He tried to think, what would he do here? Was he to spend the rest of his years in this 'Mitomi High' . He didn't know what to do or what to think of the situation but it was just giving him a headache. Never had he thought that he would be in a situation like this, never had Talnar even consider what just happened to him to be a possibility. But, in life, anything is possible, or at least he thought. His thoughts were shooed away at hearing Kana's voice again, this time with a question. A question that brought him some internal sadness. He did want to go back, he wanted to see his sister Elenwe, discuss what was right or wrong with Rohnan, spare with volderan, and speak with his bestfriend, kaylith. But all that was probably never going to happen again. So with a saddened tone, he looked at Kana, his reflecting the light from the moon that came through the window. " Yes, I wish it so for my return. To protect those that I loved. While it is true that my dimension is torn by war and daemons, I....I do want to return. But that will never happen. " He told her, knowing the plain truth that for him to ever go back would be impossible.

☯☯ Kanakami simply nodded as Tal said 'your welcome' in response to her thanks, continuing to play with Kaya's flame on the tips of her fingers.
After that was said, the two just lay on their beds, an eerie silence hanging around them.
The only light in the room for now came from the moon that hung outside the window, as well as from the small, sparkling of white flame that continued to flare up ever so slightly from Kana's fingertips.
She figured Tal was thinking, and decided to let him be, for the moment at least.
Absently, she wondered what was going on with Axel and the fight with the ghost back at the courtyard and pond.
Within, her other, Kaya, felt bad for leaving him there, hoping the fight would have ended, and that he wouldn't be angry with her for her unexpected leaving.
Kana sighed, and mentally told Kaya not to worry about it, and if she wanted, they could try to track down Axel in the morning, hopefully he'd either have defeated or maybe lost that ghost.
Finally, she decided to break the ice, and had asked Talnar if he wanted to go back to craftworld Ulthwe, his own dimension.
She looked over to him, watching him as he glanced over to her, the light from his eyes reflecting the moonbeams coming in from the window.
His voice carried a heavy, saddened tone to it, saying that he wished to return to his world, to protect those he loved.
Even if his dimension was torn by war and 'daemons,' he did want to go back, though it would never happen.
In the light of the white flame on her fingers, just barely, a look of utter sadness was on Kana's usually stone-hard face.
She felt sorrow for Tal, that he could never again go back to his world, to see all the shining faces of his friends and family, there was probably not a worse kind of hell to go through than that.
" I-I'm sorry..." she said, her tone lower than usual, a heavy, sorrowful mood projecting itself from her voice as her deep red gaze looked at him through the white firelight. ☯☯

The Sympathy that Kana showed Talnar truly enlightened him. And he was grateful for her sympathies. From here on out, Talnar's life was going to be different, and he would have to learn how to adapt to such a place. Even the food, which to talnar was a disgust since he always thought that human food was just primative and nasty. But thanks to the bittersweet love of irony, he was going to have to literally eat his words and suck it up, since he had to feed himself somehow, he was powerful, not immortal.

Feeling better, Talnar shot up quickly. He felt that he shouldn't be sitting around if he were going to learn to adapt to somewhere new. While he hadn't recovered entirely, the amount of time Talnar had to rest was enough for him to be able to walk around. IT would just of been best to stay out of any kind of fight. So, moving his body so that he was sitting on the edge, Talnar looked at Kana with a slight smile on his face." Kana," he started off, looking into her red eyes that were reflecting the light from the flame on her finger. " Would it be alright, if i may ask for your assistance once more?" He started off. He was thinking about asking the girl if whether they could walk around the campus, he wanted to get used to the place since its where he has to call home from now on. " Can you escort me around the area? I If i am to conform with this place and learn to call it home, I must learn what and where stuff is around here! " He told her, slight excitement coming over him, like any eldar, learning something new was what they lived for. It was exciting learning a new area or a new profession. It was what drove the eldar, to experience all that they could in life, but with moderation. "So, what do you say?" He asked her, his light hair reflecting the moonlight off his head. He also needed something to do to keep the fact of his life now changing off his mind.

☯☯ Kanakami kept her eyes on Talnar, the guy seemed to be having a lot on his mind lately.
Well, not that she could really blame the guy, if she had been forcefully transported to this realm with no hopes of returning home, she'd have a lot to think about too.
At the same time, she wondered how he would get around here at Mitomi High, since he seemed rather out of place from the others who came here too.
As Kana was thinking, Talnar suddenly shot up, making her jump slightly, a confused look in her eyes.
' If he's feeling better, at least a bit, that was pretty damn fast!' she thought in wonder.
She watched him as he moved so that he sat on the edge of the bed, he looked to her, a small smile on his face.
Her ears flicked up as he addressed her by her name, looking her right in the eyes, and asked if he could ask for her assistance once more.
" What for?" she inquired, tilting her head at him, wondering what he could possibly be wanting to do that required her help.
She sat up, listening to him as he asked if she could escort him around campus, if he was to mingle in and be able to call Mitomi High 'home,' he had to learn where and what stuff was around the place.
Kana could detect a bit of excitement in his voice, to be honest, it made her curious, but, because Talnar couldn't go back to craftworld Ulthwe, it seemed to make sense for him to learn his way around Mitomi High, so that he could get comfortable with where he was going to stay from now on.
She looked back to him as he asked what she would say on the matter.
Kana examined him over once more, " Ya sure ya wanna walk around campus with that injury?"
Thinking a moment, she then shrugged and gave a grin, " But hey, if you wanna explore around the school, then I'm not stoppin' ya!"
She moved over to the edge of her bed, swinging herself over it and standing up, moving over towards Tal.
" We should get going then, not gonna get anythin' done by being sittin' ducks in this room," she said, a smirk on her face. ☯☯

HE got up, quickly but with a slight halt from the pain, and began to pace back and forth aside to his bed. Thinking on what maybe he should do first or discover. Of course, he didn't have the slightest idea of what was where in this place so he had to relay on Kana to help him out. Hearing her question about his wound, he simply shook his head. " I'll be fine, i just needed some rest to gain my strength to walk around. But, i'm not so sure a fight would be advised for me." he told her as he continued to pace back and forth, he usually would do this when he was in deep thought or when stuck between choices. Should he go with option A or B? which one which one.

But a matter of which was hardly unnecessary when in the end, or at least in this case, Talnar wanted to learn about the entire school. Of course on his own time as well, he wasn't going to drag around the poor girl with him all the time, she probably had other things to do as well. But he couldn't make up his mind as to where he wanted to go and such. That's until, he felt a growl in his stomach and he stopped in his tracks. AT the very same time, Kana made a good point. Standing around in this room would not get him anywhere. So he looked at her, first picking up his helmet tho, and asked her on where they can eat something. " I guess the first place i would be interested in is somewhere I can eat something. " he said with a slight embarrassed chuckle. He had to admit tho, he did not like the idea of eating the food made by another species, it was just another superiority complex flaw he and the rest of the ELdar race had. Stepping towards the door, he put on his helmet. A slight whir could be heard and the eyes gained their red glow once again. "Kana, let us go." His voice now sounded cold and metallic again, but had she heard him without the helmet, she would see a smile and a more cheerful voice. So without any further wait, he grabbed his sword, the humming light blue glow returning to it, though faint since he wasn't fully rested, and he opened the door, waiting for Kana to exit.

☯☯ Kanakami watched Talnar as he got up from the bed rather quickly, but halted a bit, most likely because he was still injured.
He then proceeded to pace back and forth by his bedside, no doubt thinking again, the guy seemed to do a lot of that.
Not the Kana minded, of course, even if they had been fighting before all of this stuff happened, she actually thought he wasn't that bad, she could probably tolerate him, at the least.
When she had questioned him about if he wanted to be walking about with his wound, he shook his head, saying that he would be fine, he had just needed enough rest to gain strength to walk around, though he wasn't so sure a fight would be good for him.
" Yeah," Kana said, nodding, " Best to try to avoid getting into any fights, but if anyone gives us trouble, I've got your back."
Her red eyes followed him as he paced about the bedside, no doubt wondering where to go first on campus, there were quite a few places of interest, as Kana had noted when Kaya had showed her a mental picture of the map she'd read.
She was pulled from her thoughts when she heard a growl, coming from Talnar's stomach, and he stopped pacing, and looked to her, picking up the helmet he wore in the midst of it.
He said that the first place he would be interested in would be a place to eat, an embarrassed chuckle sounding as he said so.
" Then we'd head over to the dining hall, to be honest, I'm kinda feelin' a bit peckish myself," she said, reminding herself that she'd not had anything to eat ever since arriving here, other than that fruit Kaya had eaten in the Courtyard and Pond area.
Talnar then moved over to the door, putting on his helmet, a slight whirring noise sounding as he did so, and the creepy red eyes came back on.
As soon as he said 'Kana, let us go,' she wasted no time in moving towards the door, noting him grabbing his weird glowing sword as he opened the door.
" Righty-o then, chow-time it is!" Kana said, grinning, as she moved out of the dorm room, so that they could to the dining hall to eat. ☯☯
