Negaverse Alias: Lieutenant Indicolite Challenge: "Unless it hurts, why do it?" (then upgrades will be "Just 'cause I'm shallow doesn't mean that I'm heartless" & "Just 'cause I'm heartless doesn't mean that I'm mean") Uniform: Top -- Military-style vest under a nearly black jacket like this but shorter, it doesn't extend lower than his waist. If there are buttons or metals, they're brass. The vest: Similar color to the reference, the piping around it is a very dark cyan The jacket: open wide, with a broader collar with piping on it and is dark red. No front pockets, either. Bottoms -- Black pants with a darker seam down the middle. They fit like men's skinny jeans and are tucked into his boots. Gloves -- No gloves Belt -- Something black, at the waist, wide, and a little loose and to an angle. If there is a buckle or a clasp, it should be brass Shoes -- Black Riding bootsShoulders -- the kind of ones on the jacket Accessories -- Black gauntlets. His nega version has no hat. Weapon -- LT: A microphone, specifically a Vintage Sennheiser MD 409 and the attached wire. It is non-functioning and is used as a swinging weapon. The microphone has become a heavy ball at the end of a chain. The chain is a fixed length, there are no magical properties to the weapon. It only goes where it has been thrown. GENERAL: Indicolite's weapon is now a Kyoketsu-shoge. The length of the chain is 3 meters or about 9 feet and can be extended to 1.5 times that length that by will.

Don't know Fletcher? This is him. Hobbies: Music: Fletcher prides himself on being a music aficionado. That means he listens to every station on the radio and every cd or record he can get his hands on. If you turn on his TV it's on some TV music station and he gets huffy if you change it in the midst of a music documentary. Please ask him about bands to listen to so he doesn't have to hint at him wanting you to. When he becomes friends with someone, he always asks to look through their music library so he can talk about bands they like in common or to try to help them find new and (in his opinion) better stuff. He also mixes music in his apartment, he's proficient with guitar and piano, is trying to learn how to play the drums, and has a medley of other strange music-producing devices. Though Fletcher works full-time at May's Brothers as a barista, he insists it's just a "temp job" or "his day job" because of his aspirations of getting in on the music business, but he's been working there for about five years. After he gets off of work there he likes to head to any local club that will have him DJ at night. He also sells himself as a producer and musician and offers his services and cards to any up-and-coming musician he hears at a school talent show, on the street corner, or during open mic nights at the coffee shop. They'll have to keep calling him, though, he tends to not always follow through because he's busy "advancing his own music career".
Pop-culture: Fletcher is absorbed in learning about pop-culture. He didn't like Justin Beiber (before he went missing from DC), but he'll listen to all of his stuff and maybe watch a show or an interview with him just to learn why he's so popular. He wants to understand all of the jokes and the satires and be able to make the wittiest, cutting-edge jokes. He goes to the movies often (sneaking into some) so he knows who is in what and can give his best predictions when award season rolls around. You want to know about any movie out right now? Fletcher can give you a review to help you better inform your decision. Want to know if you should spend the whole ten bucks on that new album by that band you like or if you should just buy their single? Fletcher can help you out, though he might suggest just downloading the whole thing off the internet for free and deciding for yourself- with influence from him.
Travel: Whether it's the trip he's been planning for months or an impulse drive up the coast, Fletcher loves to travel. He typically sticks to metropolises, but he's interested in local cultures. He'll immerse himself in them while he's there and try to live like a local, because he believes it gives him better perspective. He's often thought of moving to New York or California, and has lived in each place for a few weeks at a time, even, but he never commits to the move and always goes back home to Destiny City. He travels mainly to go to shows for bands that he likes and has followed his favorite group from city to city during their last tour (it was a very emotional time for him when they broke up). Virtues: Clever: Fletcher is very quick-witted and always has something to say in a situation. He tries to lighten serious situations, but though he tries to make people laugh or smile, often his jokes are mistimed. He also uses his wit to make points, especially when things are unfair in his opinion. His jokes aren't saturated with sarcasm or passive aggressive, and he tries to make sure things don't go over the average person's head, because where's the fun in that? He's also very good at figuring out puzzles, riddles, or situations that don't involve him or other people. When it comes down to interpersonal conflict, he isn't the best at understanding why conflict arose in the first place. He tends to fiddle and finagle, and sometimes that's how he learns how to play instruments, or at least make them make interesting noises.
Friendly: He's very outgoing and will strike up conversation with anyone who seems willing. A guy his own age at the DMV? Let's b***h about the long wait time. He saw someone at the record store picked up a vinyl from a band he liked? Let's both talk about how their first album was better. If someone in the coffee shop is having an interesting conversation and they can't remember who was in that movie or where they've heard that song, he'll give them the answer, but never obtrusively. When he's at a party and catches a girl looking at him but can tell she's too shy, he'll go chat her up. He doesn't want to make people feel uncomfortable, and wants them to enjoy talking to him. He'd like to be well-liked, but his nature of being friendly doesn't always translate into making friends. That same girl might ask him for his number at the end of the night, but he'll take hers and say he'll call her later or instead say "look me up on Facebook!" but he never told her his full name.
Straight-forward: Otherwise known as "blunt". As with his jokes, sometimes Fletcher doesn't know when to bite his tongue and can tell people things they don't want to hear. Despite his inability to work out problems between people, if someone he cares about comes to him for advice, he'll try to help, but it may just be that he ends up pointing out things that could have caused the problem, whether it's a character flaw of yours or the way you said something, but he doesn't know how you can fix the problem. This virtue comes out more with the people he cares about the most instead of strangers who he might try to get things from, but he does his best to never lie to his family or closest friends. Even when he's flirting with a girl, before it goes anywhere, he lays his intentions out on the table instead of trying to dupe or pull one over when it comes to more serious things. His drive to be honest to people is mostly driven by his hate of people who try to b.s. him or others, so he strives to be the opposite of that.
Flaws: Self-absorbed: Though friendly in the beginning, Fletcher can't really keep what friends he has, and those who stick with him usually come to an understanding not to talk to him about their problems. For one reason, he's apathetic, and for another reason, he loves to make things about himself and his problems. He'll talk about his future making and producing awesome music and mourn his present state as an undiscovered artist working at a coffee shop. If you ask him how his day was or even "what's up" you'd better sit down, he could go on for a while. He's also wrapped up in with his appearance. He hates the scar on his nose, and always spends a lot of time in the morning trying to look like he just woke up before he heads out.
Mooch: "Hey can I bum a cigarette/ride/drink/couple of bucks from you? I'll pay you back man." Don't buy it. He's a DCU drop out and for a few years lived in his old room at home with his parents and kid brother until they kicked him out helped give him enough money to strike out on his own. He loves dropping by home though his parents hate it, because they know that it's usually for a few square meals or money. "Just a loan" here and there has turned into quite the large sum his parents have given him. With his friendly attitude he tries to make it as hard as possible for people to say no to him, and with new friends who don't know that he's a mooch or cute girls, they're usually easier to fool. Eventually most people wise up to his game and wouldn't lend him a dime.
Loose morals: Fletcher doesn't really have a moral code to stick to, so his actions are usually dictated by what is best or convenient for him. He'll help people out, though. His kid brother wants some booze for the weekend? Well he's 18, he can handle himself, why not help him out? That really hot chick he's been hitting on at several parties finally wants to go home with him, but Fletcher strongly suspects she has a boyfriend. Well, she never said she did, so if she's cheating it's not his fault, right? With things like that, it's don't ask, don't tell. He does have morals, sure, but if he's not making a fully informed decision, then how can he be blamed? He doesn't like when people are treated unfairly and will usually speak up, but if he's benefiting, then he's noticeably more quiet about it.
Apathetic: When it comes down to interpersonal conflict, he isn't the best at understanding why conflict arose in the first place. He just can't put himself in either person's situation. Sometimes it happens that people he's spoken to recognize him while he's working either job and try to talk to him like they're old pals, but he probably doesn't remember you. If during the first encounter you took turns talking about chicks, man, and you're trying to catch him up on your situation, he just doesn't care. Whether his body language says he's trying to get away from you or your boring story or he listens with no input until you stop talking and he follows with "cool story bro", he really doesn't care. Often times he'll wait until it's his turn to talk instead of listening and then go on and on about his life and his problems. He's not misanthropic in the least bit, after all, he needs people to mooch off of and listen to his problems (and music), but he finds it hard to care about everyone he's met. Because of his difficulty understanding other people's problems (which stems from not listening to them in the first place) he has quite the rap sheet of ex-girlfriends and past flings who hate his guts.

Why the Negaverse? At age 23 he's beginning to go through his one-third life crisis. He's been stuck in the same coffee house job for five years and his music is taking him nowhere. He's beginning to fear he won't amount to anything. Joining the Negaverse gives him an outlet to feel like he's become a part of something bigger. By becoming a Negaverse agent, he will make a name for himself. It won't be the same as his civilian name, but he is driven to have people know and recognize him, at least in the warring world. Post-corruption more of his flaws show, in that he becomes fixated with following orders to rise in rank and be the best soldier he can be. Obviously his loose morals will be how he does this, and his apathy is what leaves him not caring about whether the side he is on is "right". It is to him, after all. As for his virtues, his cleverness will probably help him out of one or two sticky situations, and his straight-forward dealings may make him enemies and allies alike.

The big thing that sticks out to me is why he has a microphone as a weapon. He loves music, but he has no real direct relationship to a microphone and if it's already being used it really gives you room to pick something really creative and music-oriented. But that's just my personal opinion on that...haha, so by all means if you'er dead-set on it keep it. :3'
Otherwise, not really much to crit on from what I see~ I like the fact that he's joined out of desperation to amount to something, and your reasoning fits the character so far as his progression goes.

I guess I should have included his job. xD It explains that he also makes music, the actual instrumentation, doing the singing himself, and producing it. He's just not gotten far with it which is why he's becoming more desperate wondering if it ever will go anywhere.
It's still what he would ideally do with his life, though. And if his music career isn't getting him far in the real world then it'll be music to advance him in the Negaverse. :3 Well, that's the plan, at least.

Could you include a breakdown of how the weapon will progress through Captain and General -- or at least the Captain stage if you don't have an idea for General?
