Orange limbs draped themselves delicately over a rock as the leopardess basked in the sun. She'd had a hard couple of days, dealing with the nonsense and frustrating attitudes of lions. Bleh, lions, she thought. She hoped she never met a lion again in her lifetime. Her golden eyes narrowed even as she thought of them. Oh well, she thought again, there doesn't seem to be any about around here.

Satisfied with the location she had chosen to bask in, Bweka was relaxed as she could be. Which really wasn't all that relaxed come to think of it. The leopardess was always tense, always uptight, she was never laid back and calm. It probably aided to the fact she was so grumpy all the time. Bweka didn't seem to have a kind bone in her body.

As per normal for the brown, running loving cheetah, his day had been filled with practice and practice and more practice. That was what Tasunke did. He was obsessed with it, with running, with becoming better. He didn't care. It made him happy. Sure, to others he may seem strange, but Tasunke didn't care, they just couldn't understand. They didn't know what it was like to be like him, to have the urge to run and never stop. A pity really, he thought. Perhaps if there were more like minded beings then he would have more fun and more racing challenges. He sighed. One could only wish.

Now, taking a break and going for a walk to stretch his legs, Tasunke noticed out of the corner of his eyes an orange being atop a rock. Who were they? He wondered. There really only was one way to find out, so he trotted over to say hello.

"Hi." He said simply to the orange figure.

"Ugh. Seriously?" Came the reply from the orange lump, which proceeded to roll over and reveal herself, a leopardess, was what was perched upon the rock. Why did someone always have to bother her?! Couldn't she just be left in peace for one day? Bweka grumbled. Just her luck, having to deal with another dumb individual. At least it's not a lion, she thought as she looked at the peace intruder. He was a cheetah. She only hoped they were not as bad as lions.

"Hello..." she spoke, deliberately and flatly, not wanting to give an impression that she was happy for the encounter. Like always she would act like she didn't want company, though others would still stick around. What was wrong with people? Hopefully he'd get the message and would be gone soon.

To Tasunke, when she rolled over to face him, she was hit with just the right sunlight, giving her fur and eyes a glow that made Tasunke fall in love on first sight. She's beautiful! He wondered to himself, eyes wide, staring at her beautiful features. The cheetah had never felt like this before with another, so the feelings were all quite new and strange, but he took them in his stride. He knew he had to make the leopardess his, no matter what it took.

"An angel..." he whispered as she spoke. Even her words sounded like they were sung from the heaven. He sighed, a stupid grin forming on his face. How could he have been so lucky to stumble across such a wonder?

Okay... he was staring. What was wrong with this cheetah? she thought, and here I was hoping they wouldn't be as stupid or annoying as lions. She sighed. Just once she wanted to meet someone on her level, that could sympathize with her, but that would have been too much to ask. She clicked her tail in annoyance, like she did so often, and hoped that the cheetahs stay would not be a long one.

"What?" She questioned as his words slipped out? An angel? She'd never been called that in her life. Perhaps he wasn't so dumb after all. Perhaps he could see what she truly was. He could stay a bit more, she decided.

"Oh yes, I think I am, though others are less inclined to agree." She sighed, no one had ever wanted to take her as a mate. She couldn't understand why.

At her reply the cheetah looked outraged. How could anyone not see what a lovely thing she is? He was dumb founded, absolutely shocked. "How anyone could think otherwise is ridiculous!" He nodded his head in assurance. He definitely felt a completely different way, and was going to make sure she knew it.

But how could he win her heart? Tasunke paused for thought. He'd never tried to win someone over before, so where was the best place to start. The cheetah tried to think of an encounter that came to mind but nothing seemed relevant. Perhaps I could just ask her if there was anything she wanted? That might be a good place to start, he decided.

"Can I get you anything, my angel?" He cooed.

Bweka couldn't help but laugh at his expressions and outburst. How entertaining! Why, this was the best she'd felt in a long time. Who knew having an admirer could have such an effect. Perhaps I should keep him around, she mused. Especially since he was piling on the compliments. A girl can never have enough compliments.

Golden eyes lit up at his question. Could he... no, that would be stupid... but perhaps... perhaps he would do my bidding! Any bidding! Bweka was dancing on the inside now. Not only would she have one to shower her with affection, but she'd also have one to do whatever she wanted.

Today was the best day, she had decided. "No, nothing right now, but when I do think of something I need you'll be the first to know." She nodded.

At her reply the cheetah looked down, disappointed. If she had nothing that she wanted, how could he win her over by doing things for her. He hoped she would think of something soon. Tasunke was practically bursting at the seams to make her feel the same way he did.

The cheetah sidled up close to her. Perhaps that would work. He had noticed those who were mates tended to be close to one another, and he could only try. He placed his tail on top of hers, and looked at her lovingly with his red eyes, adoration written all over his face. Oh puppy love.

"I'm eagerly awaiting it!" He replied enthusiastically, and tried to lean his head on her shoulder.

At his touch Bweka recoiled. She hadn't expected he would try so soon, yet she could tell by the look in his eyes that it was stupid of her to think otherwise. The cheetah was obviously love struck, she knew she had to handle it carefully, one wrong move and she could lose her slave. Trying to salvage her reaction, Bweka attempted to make it look as it she had simply decided to rise from the stone.

"I think I am going to go for a walk." She told him, hoping he had not noticed the look on her face when he'd touched her. "Do you wish to come?" She extended a paw out to him, trying to lure him in with her best seductive look.

The cheetah did not notice her reaction, and instead tried to rise before her to offer her assistance down from the rock to the ground. It was not a big step, but Tasunke thought it would be the right thing to do none the less, to show how much he cared.

"A walk? I would love to come with you." He smiled, and as she walked off, he followed next to her, but when she said she would be more comfortable out the front, he fell in line behind her, happy to do what she wanted.
