This was not going as planned. No no no.... not going according to plan at all. Jacknabbit!!! Not going according to plan in the least. The grounds were so confusing. This way led that way then this way then over to another way then back again! It made no sense, no heads nor tails odds and ends were. It didn't look the same but there were no decent signs it made him feel like that ghoul in the weird land with those worthless signs... some ghoul in wonderland.
Seth was pissed. Over a month and he couldn't make heads or tails of the place. His book was tucked safely at his side but it could do little to help him figure the place out. He felt like trowing his book he was so frustrated. He was certain his glasses wouldn't take long to fog up at this rate he'd have steam billowing out his nose he was getting so angry. He'd finally decided to take a tour outside to see the whole school before classes and he'd successfully lost himself. There were all sorta of buildings and then trees, and something smelled really really bad.
He held his hand up and pinched the bridge of his nose. Not good at all. He couldn't even find his way back to his dormitory to find some companionship from fellow reapers. Not to say he found only reapers friendlies, he had met a demoness named Lizzy that he was fond of, she was nice and friendly. He liked her, she would make a good friend he had decided and remembering this he smiled. Least the school wasn't so bad.

"Arashi, c...come back here!" The Baku was forced to stop mid-run, leaning forward with her hands on her knees as she tried to catch her breath. The creature she was chasing--a Storm Melonkit--paused when he realized that his owner had stopped chasing him. Sitting down, he waited patiently until she recovered before he began to trot away once again, forcing the poor ghoul to trail after him.
Xiu had absolutely no idea what had come over her pet. One moment, he was sitting quietly in her room, and the next? His ears pricked up and he had suddenly began scratching at her door, darting out the moment she opened it for her. After a while though, Xiu began to notice that the feline's intention didn't seem like to escape, but to lead her somewhere. Whenever she would pause to rest, he would sit a ways from her and wait until she ready to continue.
The question was, where was he leading her to?
He suddenly halted and waited for Xiu to approach him. Knitting her brows together, the ghoul bent down to pick him up, eying the cat questioningly. "You looked like you had a destination in mind, but all you ended up doing was leading me aimlessly around campus." She scolded, her lips tugging downwards in a frown. She turned to head back towards the demon dorms when she picked up a figure from the corner of her eye. Perking up, she squinted at them, trying to make them out from where she stood. A student?
"E-excuse me?" This was an odd place to be, that was for certain. Aside from the two of them--three, she supposed, if you counted Arashi--it was completely deserted.

This lost thing was bad though. You'd think they would have a decent guidance system but it was no use. Jacknabbit was putting it nicely. None of made sense. He had never been warned either. Stupid siblings. Worthless when it came to warnings. He shook his head sighing as his glasses slid down his nose. He pushed his glasses further up his nose back to where they were suppose to be seated on the bridge of his nose.
How had he got himself so mixed up? He had no idea... wait yes he did. The bloody school was jacked up. He shook his head once more though thankfully this time not causing his glasses to slide down his nose. His shaggy hair danced if front of his glasses as he shook his head. He sighed and then brushed his hair aside just before he head a voice that wasn't all that far off. "Hmm?" He turned his head to the side and saw no one then he scanned his way back and didn't see anyone at first though at the end of his scan something caught his eye and he jerked his head back and faintly saw a ghoul not too far off. The noise had come from her.
There was someone else. Thanks the stars, he wasn't on to be bold on a typical occasion but desperate times called for desperate measures so he'd have to set it aside for the sake of sanity. "Hello over there." At least she'd know he'd seen her. He looked down to see if anything was on the ground ahead of him. He was pleased to find it all clear and decided to make his way to her. She had come out her he could be lucky and find her able to help him. "Hello Miss Might you be able to aid me? I cannot make heads or tails of these school grounds." He pushed his glasses up as he neared the ghoul he noticed she was holding a small cat in her arms, which caused him to raise an eyebrow in puzzlement at the creature though he was more or less occupied with getting a little guidance.

Oh? Was he lost? "I-I um...y-yes, of course! Where did you want to go?" She offered him a friendly, albeit slightly timid smile. "Are you new here, perhaps?" Xiu didn't recall seeing him around before, but then again, she tended not to be very observant of her surroundings at times. For all Xiu knew, they could have passed by each other in the hallways, but she liked to think that she paid enough attention to at least know who was in her classes.
"O-oh, and...and I'm Xiu-Ying. Xiu." She corrected after a moment of pause, feeling awkward at being called "miss". Holding up the cat in her arms, she smiled sheepishly, her tail swishing behind her. "And um, this is Arashi." The feline yawned at being introduced, though he did eye the boil with curious red eyes. He reached out to paw at the reaper's glasses, but was jerked back by the ghoul before his large, furry paws managed to reached the lenses.
"S-sorry. I, um..." Her gaze swept the area around them, and she furrowed her brows curiously. "How did you end up wandering here anyways, if I may ask?" The dorms weren't too far from the main school building! Did he just take a really wrong turn? Either way, from the satisfied, self-important look at Arashi was giving her, clearly this boy was the one had had been leading her to.

Where did he want to go...? He had no idea, he had just set out to learn his way around and found it had been a foolish idea. He frowned though he was pleased she was willing to help him. "Uh well..." His right hand fiddled with his vest as he though about what to say. "Well all I really want to do is learn my way around." He frowned and chewed on the inside of his lip feeling like a moron. He glumly nodded his head when she asked if he was new. "Been here for about a month though I really haven't been out too much." A soft pink flush of embarrassment sprinkled his cheeks.
Her name was interesting even for his family's uniquely odd names Xiu-Ying. He couldn't even begin to try spelling her name. "Where did you come by your name? I mean its unique... er " Ack His free hand fluttered to his forehead feeling like he was flubbing the whole thing. He just wanted to know where it had come from because it sounded different like if it held some sort of special meaning it wasn't anything he was use to, though... ORIGIN that's what he should have asked. "The Origin. Th-thats what I meant" The embarrassed blush went from a pink to a red as he fumbled with his words. Not something he was use to.
He stumbled back a bit as a large paw came toward his glasses just to in kind be pulled away. The Red blush slightly drained away as blood rush away from his face. The paw had given him a start. "Hello Arashi." Then once more his free palm flew to his forehead as he realized how rude he was being in not introducing himself. "So sorry. I'm Sethinous. Seth for short." He often avoided mention of his last name if he could help it. He heard he looked more like his mother then his father which helped him kind of avoid notice as Cadmus's brother though he knew it would be out soon and everyone would know. Hex bex it was even on his groanspring. He sighed at least he wouldn't have to advertise it verbally. "My Conidella would likely enjoy your Arashi." His little Lolita loved everything though.
Then came the killer question. How had he ended up out here. He dipped his head causing his hair to fall forward and cover his face in a vain attempt to hide his shame. "I tried to follow the signs..." The Ghoul and wonderland idea popped back up in his head and he sighed. He was hopeless with directions, and it sadly didn't take much for him to get lost. It was a sad thing to have to admit but he couldn't deny it now. He could follow signs well enough but he had no natural sense of direction. He looked up rubbing the back of his head and faintly smiled. "I'm hopeless with new places and poor directions."

"You're looking for a...a tour, then?" Xiu blinked, tilting her head at the boil. Well, she wasn't doing anything in particular right now. If he needed help being shown around, then she definitely didn't mind lending him a hand. Offering him a friendly--albeit kind of shy--smile, she gestured to herself with her free hand. "I...I could show you around then, I suppose? O-oh! If you don't mind, I mean." If there was one thing she had learned from her stay at Amityville thus far, it was that not everyone was very receiving of demons.
Her smile grew a little as he stumbled over his question. Being rather timid and nervous herself, Xiu had said many awkward things throughout her conversations with new acquaintances. The one thing that seemed to calm her down when she was talking to someone new was if they were open and friendly, and so the ghoul tried her best to do the same for the boil. "It's Chinese," She answered, clasping her hands behind her back and smiling, "I'm a Baku--a race of Asian dream eaters. That's why I have these." She pointed to her ears, and then to her tail, which she gave a little wag.
"Oh! It's a pleasure to meet you, Sethi...Sethino...u-um. Seth?" Speaking of awkward moments, here was one Xiu walked right into. Her cheeks heated up and she grinned at him sheepishly. Fortunately though, her attention was turned to something else. "Conidella?" She echoed, looking curious, "Your pet?"
Expression becoming sympathetic, she reached out to gently pat the poor boil on the shoulder. "It's okay," The Baku tried to assure him, "It took me a few weeks to get settled here, and I still get lost whenever I venture out of the school grounds." As some friends would discover, they would sometimes get texts on a weekend from a distressed (and very lost) Xiu asking for directions. She really needed to work on that.

Seth flushed at her question about looking for a tour. "Well... I was not quite looking for one. I was merely searching to find my way around.' He stopped rubbing his head and sighed. He was hopeless at best he had decided. He was doing no good at this school thing and he wasn't doing so well with the friends thing. While he'd not flopped at socializing it was still foreign and he felt at every turn he'd fail. His eyebrows raised as she offer to show him around. "Oh no, no I do not mind. So long as it wouldn't be a burden unto you. "
He shuffled his feet his gaze drifting back to the large feline in her grasp. The more he thought about it the more he felt Little Coni would enjoy his company. Chinese...? What was Chinese? It took him a few moments, a sightly confused look passing over his face, before his thoughts caught up to explain what she had been talking about. Her name, her name was Chinese. Asian Dream Eaters... that was a little unnerving to think about, dream eaters. He knew there were many demons and he could only hope to understand a small inkling of the species but dream eaters were something you'd think he'd be told about. He suppressed a shudder at the thought of his dreams being eaten. She seemed nice enough to not invade someones dreams but he'd not put it past any demon. Reapers were not often considered equals in most cases. It was enough to make him frown at the thought coming to light. Miss Lizzy wasn't like that, he was sure Miss Xiu would not be like that as well but the thought was still upsetting.
He sighed feeling as if he'd gotten way of track with his thoughts when he realized she was struggling with his name. He struggle helped him relax a little, it helped sometimes to find others had a hard time though it was for something most had a hard time with, his name was something that was a bit of a tongue twister. When she brought Coni back up he brightened himself. His little Coni was his pride and joy. "Yes Conidella is my Lolita Treat. Shes a Dear to say the least."Then she reached out toward him and he stilled unsure what to do, he hadn't been offensive from what he could tell, surely she'd not hit him... She patted his shoulder and he relaxed, he felt silly for being worried about her hitting him. He grinned softly at her admitting that at times she'd still get lost. "It is quite a large campus. Though if you venture off school grounds you should probably take a friend, utilize the buddy system if possible." That was how it was at home. he Buddy system was flawless so long as one or the other knew what was about or at least had a map. "Might we head back to a general center point? I thought there was one between the school and the dorms but I missed it."

"O-oh, no! No burden at all! I wasn't doing anything in particular when Arashi decided to bolt out of my room like that." She looked down pointedly at the feline nestled in her arms, raising a brow when it yawned innocently. Well, at least he had done some good by leading her to the lost boil. Who knows how long poor Seth may have been left to wander had Arashi not brought her here.
Strange, though. Did he know that someone needed help? It was times like this that Xiu wished that her pet could talk.
Perking up as Seth talked about Conidella, the Baku's face lit up. "A Lolita Treat? She sounds adorable!" Giving a wag of her tail, she looked back down at Arashi, scratching him behind the ears fondly. "Perhaps she and Arashi could play sometime? I mean, um...after we get out of here." Smiling a bit sheepishly, she motioned towards their general surroundings. Really, she could see and sympathized with the fact that he got lost here. As she had mentioned, Xiu herself had been completely muddled when she first arrived at Amityville, and the only reason she had eventually found her bearings was because of her friends.
"The buddy system is a good idea," She agreed, grinning, "Fortunately, I usually think to bring my skelephone on those particular days when I decide to venture out of the campus." Nodding at his request to head back to the center point, Xiu gestured for him to follow her and she slowly head back the way she came. Clearing her throat--she didn't want them to fall into an awkward silence or anything--she asked, "Have you gone off campus yet, Seth? Or the maul or anything?"

"Oh your pet brought you all the way out here?" Perhaps Conidella would like Arashi more then he'd thought. "Well I must thank him then. Else wise I could have wandering around for hours." He dipped his head in gratitude toward the feline. Before directing his attention back to Xiu.
"I'd be lying if I said she wasn't adorable. All her ribbons and bows, she often decorates her bed with them." Seth was pleased to get to continue talking about Conidella. He'd managed to get one from his sister and had loved the treat ever since. "A Play date sounds wonderful, though I agree we should get out of here first." He nodded curtly.
"Your fortunate to have a skelephone. We always had to use the buddy system because our parents wouldn't get us skelephone's." As she gestured Seth moved to follow. He'd make sure not to lose her.He followed her as she walked and just as it grew silent she asked him a question. "Oh no, I haven't dared to venture off campus yet. I've stuck to my dormitory and room." He sighed nodding his head to the side a bit. He didn't want it to fall silent though he was unsure what to say. "Umm... How long have you attended Amityville?"

In reply to the thanks, Arashi stuck his paw out, batting at the boil's stray strands of hair at the slight bow. Xiu stepped back to put space between her pet and Seth, but she was clearly amused at the exchange. "I think that's his way of saying 'you're welcome'." She told the reaper, giggling slightly. Well, at least they seemed to get along? She was relieved to find that Arashi was rather well-behaved.
Deciding that they could wait to discuss the plans of a play date, she tilted her head at Seth curiously, brows raised. "Our parents, Seth? Do you have siblings?" Ah, she was a little envious of this! She always wanted an older sibling to look up to, or a younger one to dote on. At least she had a (kind of) brother figure in one of the resident reapers at Amityville. Or at least, she had abruptly dubbed him as her big brother one day. "You should come with me to the maul or something sometime then. I'd be happy to show you around."
As she led them around, the dorms began to come into the view, along with the school itself. She was leading him to the path between the dorms and the main school. "How long have I been here? Mm...a month or so? Maybe a little more." This fact came as a kind of surprise to the Baku, who felt as if she had been here for much longer.
