Outside was a nice place. It was, by far, one of Copeka's favourite places that wasn't the reptile section of the pet store. With the arrival of the summer sun, the boy was finally allowed to leave his house without wearing a half dozen coats over his normal clothing. Of course, the hints of spring and flowers in the air made for miserable hay fever to the little immune-compromised little boy, but it didn't stop him from having as much fun as he possibly could.
Feet still twitching about energetically, Copeka displayed his open mouth towards his father, who slipped in the pre-filled plastic spoon into his son's mouth. A grossed-out face and some slight coughing later, Copeka was back out into the world, leaving Aludra in his usual worried state, sitting on the park bench with a diaper bag filled with different kinds of children's medication.
So far, Copeka's favourite thing about this park was the lake. Never before had he seen such a large body of water that wasn't a pool. Sniffling a bit, he stepped toward the edge of the water once more, shoes squishing in the soaked, muddy banks. Shoving a hand in his pocket, he pulled out a fistful of soggy, fairly old fries, which the spawn started tossing into the water, toward a family of ducks with more ducklings than he could remember how to count.
