Lazing gently on a branch of a tree, Maël was silently enjoying a small break in his schedule. Rather, he wasn't doing anything too important, and made the decision to ditch his assistant and body guards. It wasn't that often that Maël found himself with a break, so he tried to 'make' room for some, every once in awhile.
The one thing he was sad about, though, is that he had to spend it alone. As thankful as he was that he could relax for a little while, he really hated being alone. But since he was a grown cheetah, all of his old friends were off doing 'important noble' things, and he knew there'd be no way to pull them from their duties. After all, they'd probably be cross with him for ditching on his own duties, which, in retrospect, were far more important than their own.
Though, for the time being, Maël really wasn't in a position of great power. That, and he had already learned the majority of the rites and rituals that were expected of any Roi; so much of his time now was dealing with small issues, ones that his father didn't care to oversee. At present, however, he was supposed to be dealing with the 'Amias issue.' Like it was even possible to begin dealing with. Maël was, as most would be in this situation, a helpless father unable to control his son. Although, in this situation, Maël may have very well sided with his son, as he knew best how unyielding his father could be. He had dealt with it, but he never wished that stubbornness upon anyone else, especially his own son.
Taking in a deep breath, Maël let his paw dangle below him, swaying slowly back and forth. Even though this was supposed to be a break, it sure didn't feel like it....
