"Merel come back here!" Joachim leapt over a small shrub, despite being dressed in heeled boots and lacking in a muscular structure the reaper was rather nimble when it came to running. The mouse wiggled its way underneath the large wooden doors of the library disappearing from sight.
"Jackdamnit…stupid….. mouse…." Holding his side with one hand, gasping for some air Joachim headed up the stairs with a rather angry looking frown across his face. This was the third time this week he had yelled her for something she had done wrong, the first was breaking his blue teacup by knocking it off the shelf. The second was her chewing on the corners of his sheet music.
Ghouls, most scared the life out of him when they got to close not to mention like Merel he seemed to be at loss in dealing with them. Sure he knew common curtsey like bowing, holding doors, etc. etc. however everything else nothing. Merel was no better, she was the one of the hardest mice he had to deal meanwhile Phorum and Yaus were so easy to deal with.
He straightened up as he opened the door the door to the library, "Merel… Merel where are you." Joachim tried to whisper as softly as he could.

Still lost at the Academy, Bea was on her way to find a teacher to ask for any recommended supplies. As she walked around, she sighed at the fact that she was STILL unable to seek out anyone that could help her. “Ugh.” She groaned, “Seriously, no one is EVER around when I need them.” Nevertheless, she decided to give up, and try another day. She hasn’t even signed up for classes, why would she need to care? Bea flipped her hair to one side and behind her shoulder…and pouted to no one. Perhaps the library would be a good place to look? There’s bound to be at least a librarian there!
A few quick paces before her destination and Bea noticed a boil with long orange hair was standing in her way to the library. The student appeared to have lost something, or rather, someone. Who could tell? Either way, that boil might need some help. Maybe can even be a new friend hat could show her the ropes! Bea gasped with joy.
“Hello?” tapping the boil’s shoulder, “are you okay?”

Joachim couldn’t see very far into the library however he hoped the ebony mouse hadn’t gone too far in there was no telling what books she would find to eat. Argh he was going to keep her under lock and key for the next when he got his hands on her. “AAAAhhhhh what on!!!!!” Joachim jumped when someone tapped his shoulder sending him crashing into the oncoming closing door. He figured it was someone who knew him just wanting to scare him but when he finally turned around with his hands still out in front of him he saw a ghoul in a white dress. She did not look familiar but his face still flushed red, why was it that he always did this when he met someone new?
“Errrr… sorry….. err what did you ask?” His heart was still pounding in his chest as he tried to take in few deep breathes to calm it down.

"AHHHHHHH!" Bea yelled back right at him. His scream startled her. Her heart felt like it was going to jump out from her chest!
"OH MY JACK! ARE YOU OKAY?" She shouted at the boil, still in a bit of a shock. Bea reached out her arms, but didn't touch the boil. Her eyes fixated at his hyperventilating chest, raising and lowering at fast rates.
"Oh, um... I was wondering if you were okay?" She took a deep breath and giggled a bit. Lowering her shoulders. "Sorry if I scared you. I guess I have been doing that to people lately..." She made a half smile on one side of her cheek. It was awkward. She stared into his eyes.
"I was on my way to the library but I noticed you were looking for something." She finally gave a genuine and pleasant smile. Worried that she had just lost the opportunity to make a new friend, she stretched out a hand desperate to mend the situation, "My name is Beatrix. But if you like nicknames, you can call me Bea".

Joachim did not expect her to yell back, he didn’t expect her to be surprised or scared by his own reaction, “I’m sorry! I’m sorry.” He kept waving his hands in front of him as his face grew even redder. He felt terrible making her yell in return and even more so embarrassed he really needed to start paying more attention to things other than his mice.
“Err yea I’m ok, and no it wasn’t your fault I was scared I guess I really should pay more attention,” He shuffled his feet a bit as he gave a short but nervous laugh. Joachim leaned against the door ignoring the pain from where he had hit it earlier as he shoved his hands into his pockets.
“I was looking for something… or more or less someone. It’s my mouse Merel she is black in color with little red eyes. She decided to well run off on her own on a spree of getting into trouble and well ….. it looks like she ran in here." Pulling one hand out of his pocket he reached out to shake her hand, or at least he hoped that was what she wanted as his face grew another shade of red. “It’s a pleasure, despite my…err… yelling, a pleasure to meet you. I’m Joachim or you can call me Jo some do some don’t. Errrr I should move out of your way… here,” He propped the door with one hand pulling the other one out of his pocket and across his stomach. Joachim gave her a small bow like a butler greeting his master at the door and hoped she didn’t change her mind in coming to the library.

Joachim was so polite, and he seemed so courteous too! Bea giggled at how adorably awkward he's acting.
A... MOUSE?! "EEEEEEEEEEEE!" Bea screamed happily, "I LOVE MICE!" Well, any creature in general, really. "Do you want me to help you find her? I'm not sure How good I am at finding mice, but I think they are so cute! With their little nose and pawsies and earsandtheirwhiskersandtheiradorablelittleeyesandtheirtail--" Bea seems to ramble on and on about how cute mice were.
"Oh, I'm sorry!" she calmed down and took his hand to give it a delicate handshake. "The pleasure is all mine Joachim!" She took a few steps back as he opened the door for her. He's such a gentleman! Bea blushed a bit as she walked through the door. But before she even made it into the library, she looked right into his eyes with all seriousness. "Honestly though, if you need any help finding little Merel, I'd love to lend a helping hand" she held her hands together over her lap and gave him a sweet smile once more.

His face flushed red again as she went on describing how cute mice where he hadn't expected her to be so excited about any of his friends. Really he merely assumed that for the most part that mice were either food or disgusting little creatures that lived only to cause annoyance to everyone around them. Joachim at least was right on one part there were a few who viewed them as rather tasty little snacks of delight considering the mongrel of a cat living in the dorms.
Joachim's blush grew all the way to his fingertips as she shook his hand delicately, it was faintly cold to the touch as it sent a shiver up his back.
"Errr....... if you aren't busy and don't mind helping.... I could use it... your help I mean." He stammered out as he wrung his hands together for a moment until he realized he looked stupid doing so. Letting the door shut behind him he shook his head.
"Merel.... probably won't come to me... well..... not at the moment... so... maybe she will come to you instead?" She would in spite probably cause Joachim to wonder the library for a couple of hours before coming back to him but for a pretty ghoul Merel was sure to be curious enough.

Bea was delighted to hear that she was able to help someone. "NO! I'm not busy! I would love to meet your little mousy! So, leave it to me!" she said with a determined look on her face. She made a slight and very subtle fist pump on her side and proceeded into the library.
"Tsk tsk tsk tsk tsk" Bea chirped as she went from book shelf to book shelf. She looked between the open gaps between the books and under the tables where students were sitting. "Meeeeereeeeeel" she whispered a bit louder. "Joachim is looking for yoooooou." Speaking of the boil, she got up from the table to ask him a question but then...
THUMP!
Bea managed to hit her head pretty hard on the underside of it. To not make a noise inside the library, she bit her lip in attempts to not scream out in pain. She immediately curled into a ball, and held her head with both hands, wincing and tearing up. After a moment, she waddled her way from under the table, still squatting in pain, and began to cry.

"Errr... thank you...." Joachim replied in a soft whisper as the ghoul took over looking, he really hoped that Merel would show up for her because spending three hours in the library wasn't really appealing to him and probably not for the ghoul either.
Walking down the opposite shelves from the Beatrix he started to curse the idea of losing a black mouse in such a dark place. "Merel.... Mmmeerreeelll.... where are you............ you better commeeee or you will be sleeping with Yaus tonight if you don't... and you know he doesn't like to share very much.... Meerrrreeelll...." He looked under a couple of tables and even tried looking under a chair that seemed to almost look as if it had claws that could get up and walk away.
Nothing except for a loud thump he heard, getting up on his feet he headed towards the noise hoping it was Merel running into a dead end. Instead he saw tears on the cheeks of a ghoul as a pang of guilt and worry tightened in his stomach.
"Are.. you ok... what happened?" He quickly replied pulling a handkerchief out of his pocket holding it out to her as he got on one knee to look at her. Oh if Merel had bit her he was going make the little monster regret it.

"I-I-I-I--" Bea was tried to speak but her extreme inhales had disrupted her speech too much. After a few more hyperventilating and tears running into Joachim's hanky, she pretty much lunged herself into his chest for comfort. "I-I hit my head on that j-jack damn table! AND IT HURT!" She tried saying as quietly as she could, though it came out like a loud whisper.
A few moments of crying later, she managed to calm down a bit as the pain was going away. She turned back to look at his coat which was soaked in tears and other fun bodily fluids from her face. Wiping the last of her tears, she smiled at the boil again. "That table was at fault, but this is about finding Merel... Um..." Bea turned and looked around a bit more before she finally saw a little glimmer from behind the book cases. A little body quickly skittered away to another table.
"THERE SHE IS!" Bea bellowed and darted toward the mouse.
