Now, your friend is clearly what we would like to refer to as "an overzealous, conservative a**". It's perfectly fine if they don't like Lady Gaga, and not just your friend but anyone in general. There's no law stopping you from not liking a certain artist or anything for that matter; if you like it, fine. If not, okay. The universe goes on regardless.

Getting back to the issue at hand, the first reaction should be to politely tell your friend in a private message to stop what they're doing because it's clearly upsetting you. If you're in the mood for it, explain that you really value them as a friend and don't want to end your friendship because of a silly disagreement over a musician. If she does not cease, try to reason and sympathize with them. Finally, if you've tried everything you can fathom and they are STILL being stubborn about it, then it's evident your friendship is over.

I understand what you're going through, however I cannot stress enough that Haus of Gagaloo is not your personal army or your therapist. In the future, go into the spam forum and ask or go talk to someone who is more qualified than strangers over the Internet.

This is true. Especially since this person left California, the most liberal place on Earth, it's most likely that they're becoming more different as time progresses.

And Cariella, sorry, but like I said it's kinda off-topic. You're more than welcome to seek help in the spam forum (the ranting thread is definitely the place for that).
