Kousetsu found herself out alone again. She had done her first hunt with Gunju and things had gone great. Though, they didn't catch anything, but it was a working progress. They needed to get use to working together. That wasn't on her mind, however. Kayo was. He was always on her mind ever since that lovely night sharing of start watching. Every time she saw him after that she couldn't help but to feel happier about it. She had gotten to know him fairly well, at least she'd like to think so.

Oh, how much she wanted to tell him that she liked him! Things would go so much smoother if she could just get the courage and tell him! Then again, it could also turn out bad, too. Which was what she was fearing the most. She didn't want to open her trap to find out he didn't like her at all. Then make thing awkward! Oh the drama. She was over thinking things like normal. Damn her shyness!

She had been laying on a piece of ruined temple that had been falling apart long before she was even thought of. Cracks ran down half of the solid almost rock like structure. It was just sand, well packed hard sand or something. She wasn't sure exactly how the two-legged creatures on the walls did it. Nor did she really care. It made for a great thinking spot in the afternoon sun. She hopped to star watch again with Kayo, though she couldn't even get him out of her mind long enough to take a nap.

Rashida had been watching the lioness for quite some time. Though, they were no strangers at all. Secret pals, as Rashida had called it. Though now that she was older, she wasn't so shy about who her friends were. Though, that didn't mean that she wasn't going to be nice to Kousetsu openly, no. Rashida was a trickster, and liked to play things cool. She swished her tail against the sand as she waited for the coast to be clear. Rashida liked causing small problems ever since she was a cub. And now it just meant it was more fun.

Of course, she wasn't all mean. She was nice to those she didn't know, and respectful to those who needed respect. Though, when it came to her friends, she played harmless tricks on them, and made their lives just a little harder. To make things fun, in her mind. If things were too simple, then what fun would that be? Of course she spent too much time on tricking others, then actually trying to make any effort into anything else.

Once the coast was clear enough for her, she stood up and move towards her friend. She seemed distracted lately, and it made her rather un-fun. She frowned as she jumped up on the ruins that Kousetsu was rolling around on. "Kousetsu, what has gotten into you?" She asked as she eyed her. Of course, she was sure Kousetsu didn't notice her, which was all the better in this surprise harassing of her.

Rashida was right, Kousetsu hadn't been paying attention. The moment Rashida had spoke, she had jumped at the sound. Turning towards her friend that was towering over her. "Oh, Hello Rashida" She said in an almost dreamy voice. Still the thought of Kayo on her mind. The actual realization that the other was standing in front of her was only slightly. She stared off in the other direction and sighed before sitting up and looking back at Rashida.

She couldn't just ignore her friend, not after how long they had known each other. Rashida was a adolescent when they had met. One of the only friends Kousetsu had and actually trusted completely. Even if Rashida was a little bit rude at times. She learned to accept her as who she was, and not put a thought to it. "What?" She asked not really fully understanding what she had asked her. She sure was out of it today

Rashida raised a brow at the other. Something was seriously wrong here. Or at least it seemed seriously wrong. "You're not getting sick on me, are you?" She started to say "because, I don't think I can handle if you are." She added. "I can't handle taking care of someone sick, you hear me?" She finished saying finally. A mini rant. She didn't want to help someone sick, she didn't want to get sick too. Though, something told her that it wasn't a contagious type of sickness.

"I mean, you better not freaking die on me." She started up again. "Then who would I bother every day?" Of course, it wasn't every day, but it sounded better to say that. "Now come out with it, tell me what's wrong." Not like she could actually help if it was something too serious. She had heard others talking about bad sicknesses that would only kill you no matter what you did. Of course, she'd never actually seen something like that happened, and she wanted to keep it that way too.

"Snap out of it."

Shocked, Kousetsu just stared for a moment at Rashida. What was she talking about? She wasn't sure, though it sounded silly. "What are you saying?" She giggled a little bit. She had never made someone worry about her before, this was amusing yet she didn't want her to be worried. "I'm fine, honest." at least she thought she was fine. Maybe something was wrong, but saying it to her wasn't going to help the situation, was it? She needed to tell Kayo, not Rashida. Maybe? She wasn't sure.

"I'm not getting sick, you're being silly." She said with another laugh. She almost broke into a loud unstoppable laugh, but she controlled herself before hand. She didn't want to hurt Rashida's feelings after all. She wanted to tell her, but she just didn't know how. "Well..... There is something... but I don't know..." She started off at first then trailed away. What would she think of her? Probably foolish, probably a chicken.

"Spit it out then," Rashida was a pushy lioness, she'd get her to speak one way or another. "How can I help if you won't even say it?" She looked at Kousetsu with a stirn look, it helped sometimes and this was one of those times, she hoped. She was determined to have her friend back the way she was before so she could continue on with the tiny pranks she always did. Kousetsu was one of the only lionesses that didn't get angry at her for the things she did. Of course, that was less fun, but it was also a good thing.

"Commmmmmmme On!" She continued, "TELL ME!" She'd eventually get so annoying that Kousetsu would just tell her. That's what normally happened, anyways. She stomped her front paw on Kousetsu's tail to make it clear that she wanted to know, and she wanted to know NOW. It was a life or death situation. Well, not really, but it could have been.

She could see that Rashida really wanted to know. She took a deep breath. "I.... have a thing for Kayo." She finally said. She could feel her heart pounding and could just imagine what the other was thinking. "I mean.. I really like him" It felt good to say that out loud for once, She hadn't been able to without someone over hearing her. But now, with someone to tell her secret too, what was going to happen?

She gave a weak smile towards Rashida... "Please don't tell anyone" She pleaded. She couldn't bare the thought of Kayo finding out! Oh god... Though Rashida was smart, and Kousetsu had talked alot about Kayo so perhaps she won't be so surprised? She didn't know... She tried not to make it too obvious, and thought she did a good job. Rashida had never made any comments towards her liking him.

She felt like a cub again. The awkward weakness of not being able to do something. Even though it was so simple.... What was happening to her? Maybe she was sick after all.

A huge grin crossed her face. She should have known. The small conversations about those around them should have made it easy. Kousetsu had told Rashida about Gunju and Kayo, but she talked more about Kayo then Gunju. Rashida had figured it was because Gunju was boring, though she'd never met him before. Not yet anyways... Now she knew the real reason behind it. "Is that all?" She said with laughter.

She couldn't help it. She laughed for a good few moments before calming herself down. "Why don't you tell him?" She asked. Rashida had only seen Kayo from afar, and knew what he looked like, but knew hardly anything about him. Oh, this could be fun. She could mess with her friend this way. Of course, it was more cruel then what she normally did, but she wanted to see how far she could push Kousetsu.

Though, she didn't want to lose a friend, she'd be able to apologize if things got too bad. "I mean, what's the worse that could happen?"

"No, no, no... I can't do that... Not with what happened the other night. " It had started nice, yes, but then she made things awkward. "I messed things up, I'm sure he doesn't like me." She simply said. Though, it had been a lovely night, even with her small mishap. Perhaps he could forget about that small bit? Probably not, she couldn't. She messed up big time.

"No,no... I think I messed it up to where I can't tell him anything."

As curious as Rashida was with what Kousetsu did, she just grinned. This was even better. What drama she could stir with this information. Oh! She was going to cause the best bit of drama ever. Though, she would hope that it didn't get back to her. She could totally convince Kousetsu that someone must have over heard them. She was a easy lioness to get to believe you. That was, of course if someone else didn't mess it up.

She signed. "well, if you want it that way." She said. "Oh, but I should go. We'll continue this conversation later. " She needed to make a plan, or rather... She needed to find Kayo. Either she'd be match maker, or drama maker... Both sounded good to her. though one more then the other. She grinned at the thought of small pride drama. Of course, nothing TOO bad. Or at least, that's how she saw it. No one was going to get hurt... At least... she thought.
