[Most of this took place in Tobias' and Zahur's journals...]

Tobi's eyes fluttered open, everything was blurry for a few moments until he finally reached full consciousness. The back of his head ached, though it wasn't unbearable. He sat up, trying to remember what had happened. Before any of the memories came back, he noted that he was a little taller than before, and his wings had gotten bigger, and his tail had gotten longer. His clothes barely fit, too. Thankfully despite their obvious neglect his family HAD bought him clothes for his inevitable growth.

Tobias stood up and wobbled to the closet, focusing just on that. Something in his mind was telling him not to think about anything else. He didn't want to think about anything else. Though, once he was dressed, there wasn't anything else to think about. He looked around his room... a trashed mess. The demonic figurines were laying all over the place. His phone was abandoned by the bed, off the hook and making a terrible beeping noise.

What happened again?

Images of Edgar losing his temper flashed before his eyes. He felt a terrible fear rise up in his stomach. Edgar was going to kill him, he was sure... but... no, he fought back and he was going to kill Edgar. Then... nothing. Black.

He stumbled down the stairs, clutching the railing for support. Outside seemed normal, everything was in it's place. The animals were making sounds of protest since they were all hungry. He headed inside, momentarily disregarding the utter fear that came with stepping into a place he was forbidden to be in.

Not a sound was to be heard. That was too quiet... usually someone was up by now. He walked along the hall until he reached Edgar's office. Still, no sound. Unusual, because he was sure that Edgar would be taking calls or at least complaining loudly about his wounds. He pushed the door open and stepped back, eyes wide with horror.

They were all dead. Gunshot wounds to the head. Christopher, Myrtle and his Mother were all tied up like animals, Edgar was lying on the floor, the gun still in his hand. There was blood everywhere... it was so overwhelming he didn't see the suicide note left on the desk.

"W-what have I done?!" He sank to the floor, shaking. They were all dead because of those stupid figurines... those damn things gave him so much comfort and yet because he had them... Edgar had gone ballistic and killed them all. He hadn't meant what he said, he didn't wish they would all die.

He was interrupted from his mental prison of guilt by the sound of the doorbell ringing. He wondered if it was the police, coming to take him away forever. He pushed himself up and forced himself to go answer the door.

On the other side stood a small boy, all by himself. Someone had tied an envelope to a string and then placed it around his neck. It simply read "Imbrie" on the front. Who was this child? who had brought him here? Tobias looked around but no one was there.

"Wh-who are you?" He looked to the little boy again, waiting for an answer.

Evangelos stared at the other with wide, doe like gray eyes as he heard the other inside of his head, causing him to tilt it curiously to the side."Evangelos." He said simply before pointing to himself with an odd smile before looking down at the letter that was tied around his neck. Grabbing it in his small hands, he held it up, "Eembree..?" He asked, tilting his head in the other direction like a cat.

Though, inside of his mind there seemed to be something going on, a slight tingling sensation.

The fuzzy sensation seemed to speak, almost longing for something inside of the house, which got the toddler moving, trying to get into the building and past Tobias with a whine.

"Evangelos..." Tobi repeated as he took the letter. He opened it up, read it as quickly as possible, and realized that this boy was supposed to be his brother. Who let them adopt another child!? He turned around to see that Evangelos had started going into the house.

That seemed fine enough, he had no idea what he was going to do. No idea at all. Should he call the police? What would happen to the toddler, though? He shuffled back down the hallway to Edgar's office and stared back into the room. It really was a mess... there was no way he'd be able to clean it up. Even if he did, Felicia still worked for them and she would know something was up if everyone but him disappeared.

"We're not going to stay here very long." He looked to the toddler, who he figured had followed him. It never crossed his mind that perhaps he shouldn't let a toddler see a murder scene. He was that out of sorts.

Stopping once he had gotten into the house, the toddler looked around, though once Tobi started to move, he did indeed follow him to the study. Evan peered into the room, which was already smelling of slight decay from the bodies laying in a room that looked as if the air was stagnant, though luckily there were no flies or anything thanks to the tight sealing of the place. Ignoring the slight musk, the small boy made his way into the room and stood in front of one of the tied up bodies.

Curious as ever, Evangelos reached down and ran his finger over one of the semi-coagulated pool of blood. Bringing his finger back up, he sniffed what was on it before sticking it into his mouth. Sadly, it was only after then that he had 'heard' the older meta, making him turn to look at Tobi. "No famiwy?" he asked softly.

Since had been so occupied with his thoughts, he hadn't even noticed Evangelos touching the blood until it was already in his mouth. "Evangelos don't eat that it's blood." He stepped forward enough to pull the toddler back out of the room. "No family. They're dead. We have to the school..." He kept a hold on one of the toddler's hands and began to walk back out to the guest house. Behind them the doors to the office shut without someone pulling them.

Once back in his guest house he lead Evan upstairs and then set him on the bed. "Stay here, I'm going to pack up... and then... and then we'll walk up to the school." He looked the toddler in the eyes, hoping that would make him stay put for a second while he looked for a bag to put some things in. He only packed a few changes of clothes, his journal, and a couple of figurines, just in case he wasn't put to death or anything for what he'd done. He had also grabbed a few of his clothes from when he was a toddler, just in case they wouldn't have anything for Evangelos to wear.

Once that was finished he slung the bag over his shoulder and held a hand out for Evan to take. "It's going to be a long walk..."

The boy whined when he was pulled out of the room, more so when he heard that the family he was promised was dead and that he had to go back to the place that they just took him from. "I dun wanna!" Evan whined in protest, but he was too small and weak to do much aside from wriggling. Once the two were in the guest house, he pouted and sat there on the bed, soon rolling about on it.

When Tobias came back over to the bed, he stared at the others hand, "No." he said simply, the pout still on his face.

"Yes." Tobias narrowed his eyes at the toddler, making his telepathic voice louder than usual. He wouldn't hurt him, no, but if he had to intimidate him in order to get him moving he would. "We have to go before Felicia comes to start her shift. She will find them dead and we will be taken away and locked up. We HAVE to go." He didn't bother waiting for the toddler to reply. Instead he reached over and grabbed one of his hands and pulled him off of the bed. If he had to he'd carry the boy kicking and screaming all the way back, but it would take much longer than usual. Tobias was not a very active person, in fact, he had lived a rather sedentary life up until this point, and he didn't even know how to fly yet.

He started down the stairs, at least gentle enough to not cause Evan to fall down and hurt himself. Once outside he stopped, pausing. Did they have something that would make transportation easier? He looked to the barn... maybe.

"This way, maybe you don't have to walk after all." He tugged Evan along out to the barn and opened one of the doors. At the far side sat a small wheelbarrow, just big enough for Evan and the bag to be put in it. He strode across the barn, keeping a firm grip on Evan.

"Here, sit in this. You don't have to walk this way." He set the bag down in it first, and then lifted Evan into the wheelbarrow before attempting to lift it. It was a heavy load, he was sure he wasn't going to be able to keep it up for very long.. but he still had some control over his telekinesis so he wasn't too worried about it. After a little struggle, he finally made it out of the barn and was on the way up to the school.

Eyes widening when he heard the others telepathic voice louder than what he had heard before, he seemed to curl up slightly, deciding that going back would be better than being locked up with someone who liked to literally yell in your head. He followed along, begrudgingly, trying his best not to fall or tumble down the steps, which were rather high for his little legs, making it a bit harder to get down as fast as the other was dragging him.

As he was tugged along to the barn, he pouted more, soon adopting a face of displeasure as he was placed inside the wheelbarrow without a second thought. "I kin walk!" Evangelos protested before gripping the edge of the wheelbarrow and trying to get out, noticing that the other seemed to be having a bit of difficulty.

"E-Evangelos stop!" All of the movement caused him to lose control of the wheelbarrow, which of course meant it toppled over to the side, spilling the toddler and the bag out onto the ground. (Which was thankfully covered in grass still.)

Tobi collapsed onto the ground, shaking. It was only a matter of time until Felicia arrived and they hadn't even made it out of the grounds yet. Of course, of course a toddler would arrive on the day he drove his father mad. It was karma's way of getting him punished, he was sure. What would they do to him? He wasn't sure if many other humans held his father's belief that demons were evil... would they torture him? Dissect him? The thought was terrifying enough that he pushed himself up, and rubbed at his eyes.

He took a moment to take in a deep, shaky breath before picking up the bag and taking one of Evan's hands again. "K-keep up, we have to keep moving." He started off again, steps uneven and forced at first, but once he got into the motion his pace became more even. Slow enough for Evan to not have too much trouble walking, but fast enough that they would be able to get away before Felicia called the police.

The boy rolled slightly when he hit the grass, blinking a few times before standing as his hand was taken by Tobias again. Frowning, he pointed at the bag, "I cawwy?" He asked, almost begging for the other to let him carry it after seeing that he seemed to have trouble even just walking.

"No, it's h-heavy. We can't let anything s-slow us down." Tobias shook his head. His breathing had began to get ragged. He really wasn't used to so much activity. His parents had done everything in their power to make sure that he stayed inside at all times since the secret santa event, which was what was making it so hard on him to be moving around as much as he was.

Finally they reached the school gates and Tobias paused for a moment to catch his breath. They stood there for all of two minutes before he started off again, having barely taken a few desperate gasps of air. "Almost... there..." His telepathic voice was beginning to get quieter, and harder to make out as him speaking rather than just another thought that came to mind.

Thankfully when they reached the main building, Avon was already standing outside. He had seen their arrival only seconds before and was prepared with some water for both of them. Tobi barely made it to the elder before falling to his knees again. He let go of Evan's hand in favor of placing both of his on the ground in order to keep himself upright.

"I did... bad... dead... all... dead."

Avon knelt own and held a water bottle out for Evan to take. "Rest up, both of you, and then we'll talk about what happened. Are you both alright?" He looked them over, searching for any wounds. It was troubling that Evangelos was already back, he'd only been sent out that morning after all.

During the entire walk there, as Tobias got worse and worse, Evan tried to help him stand, even stopping every so often in case the other wanted to rest but it seemed like he didn't want to. When they did finally reach the main building, the toddler seemed to tense up when he saw the elder, his own slightly ragged breathing got a little worse when he saw the tall one.

Keeping quiet, he continued to stare at Avon as he fumbled with the cap of the bottle of water, though when it was open he didn't drink it himself - he tried to get Tobi to drink.

After a few moments of ragged breathing, Tobi sat up right and took the bottle, taking a few gulps before offering it back to Evan to drink it he wanted. The water helped, but he was still running on fumes and adrenaline from the escape.

"All right... can you tell me what happened?" Avon technically could have looked back on the situation himself, but he wanted to hear it first hand from Tobias, since the teen seemed willing to confess everything himself.

"Father found... the figurines I was hi-hiding... the s-succubus and i-incubus," Tobias paused, placing a hand over his heart. It was beating faster than it had ever beaten before it and it was really freaking him out. "He got v-very angry... I thought he was... g-going to k-...kill me." Another pause while he grabbed the second water bottle Avon had originally meant for him and took another few sips.

"I fought back... b-broke his arm... fingers.....black. W-woke up... all of them.. dead. h-he killed them. Mother... Myrtle... Christopher... my fault." He set the water down and stared at Avon, eyes wide, still panicked. "E-evangelos showed up th-this morning... F-Felicia was g-going to come so w-we escaped... d-didn't know what th-they would do to us." He glanced at the toddler, and then back to Avon.

Avon had been sorting out the information that was presented to him as Tobias spoke in broken sentences and simple words. The boy had obviously been overusing his powers and was having trouble communicating. He hadn't paid special attention to any one family, but the fact that this abuse had gotten past his vision was disturbing. Even more so, they wanted another child?

"Your father killed everyone else in the house?" He raised a brow curiously. How could a man with a broken arm and fingers do that? He was going to have to look back on the event later, but for now the priority was getting these two somewhere they could rest, and dealing with the angry mob that was to come.

"Yes... t-tied th--em up. All dead. G--unsh-t to th-ead." The longer he sat there, the less panicked he felt. He was on academy grounds... no one could get him here, unless they turned against him, but somehow the thought wasn't as terrifying as it should have been. Something about just being there made him feel calmer. And as he wound down from panic and adrenaline, he found it was harder to stay awake. The ache in the back of his head was beginning to pulsate once more.

"All right... here's what we're going to do. I'm going to get you into the dorms, you're going to rest for awhile longer while I figure this out. And then we're going to sit down with the other elders and discuss what we'll do." Avon stood up and offered his hands to both Metas. "Evangelos, I would like for you to stay with your brother for now." He smiled a little, he knew all too well that his appearance could be a little intimidating.
PostPosted: Mon Jul 18, 2011 1:12 pm

The toddler continued to stare at the Elder, frowning a little when he was told to stay with his brother. He didn't seem to want to, "Oh kaey.." Evan sighed, as if he had just lost an argument with something or someone. He didn't really consider Tobias his family because he was told his family was dead - so he thought that everyone was dead. He didn't know that the exhausted one was supposed to be his brother. How would he know?

"it's just for a little while, until we get your living situations worked out." Avon shook his head a little and lead the two to the dormitories. He ended up taking them to Tobi's dorm, since he was the older one. "All right, I'll be back with some pillows and blankets, go ahead and pick which side you want to be yours, Tobias. The other belongs to a boy named Zahur." He opened the door to the dorm and let them inside.

Tobi shuffled in, barely taking in what was being said to him. Zahur... well... at least he was rooming with someone he knew. He looked back to Avon, who said something else that came out as a jumbled mess to Tobi's ears. So instead he just walked to the nearest bed and crawled onto it.

"Well, make yourselves comfortable... it could take awhile for this to get sorted out." Avon shut the door behind him and headed off to get some pillows, blankets, and entertainment for the brothers.

"N-eed sleep....... s-rry. S-- s-rry." Tobi curled up in his spot on the bed, leaving enough room for Evan should he want to take a nap as well. Not long after he fell asleep, Avon returned with what he'd left to retrieve. He placed a pillow under the incubus's head and then spread a blanket over him.

"I brought some toys if you would rather play, Evangelos. I promise I'll get this sorted out as fast as possible. The human police have already contacted us looking for your brother." He patted the toddler's head lightly and then left the room, shutting it behind him once more.
