 Niji fluttered down to the pond, landing on the tiny little island in the middle with grace. She held a flower firmly in her mouth, a pretty little tiger lily, and a few berries held in her tail. Her meal for the day. The 'Phim was currently enjoying her time traveling, experiencing the now warmer side of the earth when before she was on the colder side. Recently she had met a vixen named Moon Fi and a male named Alegas. Now to say Alegas was mean was to say a midget was small. It was a firm fact. However, Moon Fi had rescued her, befriended her, and even showed her a funny and nicer side to 'Daeva's.
Now Niji wasn't used to social contact, so her licking was a form of saying hello to everyone, trying to be friendly. After Alegas's recent rant at her she had begun to wonder.... was she strange? Was she... weird? Niji huffed as she thought this, fluttering her wings and sending dirt flying.
"I am not weird!" She snapped to herself, shaking her head and sighing. "I mean... even if I am... I still have friends. A friend." Fi had befriended her! So, even if she was weird it was better being weird and having friends than being mean and not having any, like Alegas!
"Hmpf. I'll make him smile one day."

Her purple flames dancing about her feet Moon Fi was incredibly bored. Her tail uncoiled itself from about her and she stretched her wings yawning. Her ears flicked as she considered a few things. It might be fun to track down her dear sister Reoakee. Though what would that accomplish? Reo would just banter with her for a while and disappear. Honestly the fact her sister did that so often drove Fi nuts. Sighing she got up and the flames about her feet disappeared for the most part. She had just finished decorating the field with a burnt into the ground doodle of a deava dancing. It was cute if you looked down and saw it from the air.
Oh she had an idea! She’d hunt down that fun little vixen from before. What was her name again… Nija.. Nije.. Niji? Oh well it didn’t matter. Fi could recognize her when she saw her. Moon Fi was good finding foxes she wanted to. She could always find Reoakee when she was lost. Flipping her hair back Moon Fi started running and then took to the air with a hop and a leap. Off her north, northwest of her pretty little doodle was a sizable lake. Fi figured she’d catch a few fish for a snack and then start hunting. After all an empty stomach was a bad traveling companion.

When Niji heard movement she jerked her head to the side to see... Moon! Her tail wagged once, then twice, then even a third time. What luck! Niji had been hoping to see the Daeva, and here she was~ Pleased and purring softly in her throat, Niji flapped her wings, heading straight for the Daeva without thinking, landing on all fours, and padding up to Moon.
"Hello, Fi~" She called out, hoping Moon remembered her, and remembered she had given her permission to call Moon that name. The rainbow colored vixen wiggled happily, heart fluttering. She hated being alone, so seeing her new friend made her beyond happy.

Her! It’s her! Oh this is just perfect. Pulling a fake pout Moon Fi looked at the rainbow vixen and hoped she looked every inch the hurt and pitiful fox. “Aw…. What no lick today?” Her tail started wagging though so Moon knowing her act was spoiled she just dropped it, her face splitting into a grin. “So my stormy skittle how goes things?”
Vaguely she wondered what on earth the little vixen was doing out her. Visiting a friend? Fi doubted the vixen was traveling alone. If she were well then who knows what could happen to her. The skittle didn’t seem all that strong or imposing. She’d be eaten alive in the wild.

Niji blinked, head tilting so rainbow curls fell over her face. "I'm sorry! I didn't know that you didn't mind it! Ever since Alegas snapped I was wondering if my licking was....bad." Her own pout formed, looking down briefly before approaching Moon and licking her cheek, smiling. The 'Phim blinked at the nickname, trying to recall if anyone had ever given her one before. Nope! She puffed up slightly, giggling.
"Stormy skittle? I like that!" She mused, tail wagging. "Mmmm, exploring by myself as usual. I rarely have anywhere to go since I don't know a lot of people, so if I am moving about it is to explore." She looked up, ear flicking. "What about you?"

Aww… She’s so cute. I just wanna corrupt her and play with her. “Well Aleegass doesn’t his front end from his back end so I’d just ignore anything that gloomy self centered stuck up leather brain has to say. ” Moon Fi stuck out her tongue and rolled her eyes just thinking about the male. The next time she saw him she might just light his tail on fire just because she could.
Accepting the lick with a grin Fi raised a paw and patted the phim. Being so happy over such a little thing like a nickname made Fi think of a kit or a large doll. A cute doll at that. “You know you know me so why not travel with me for a bit just in case you meet more foxes like that leather brained moron.” Fi pursed her lips and looked deep in thought. “I’m here because I’m running away.” She winked at Niji.

Niji fluttered her wings, smiling at the mention of Alegas, nodding in agreement hastily. She folded her rainbow wings to the side, tail wrapping around her leg as she heard Fi speak. "Really? I can come with you?" She questioned, blinking at her. "Yay!" She licked her cheek again, just happy to have a friend that wanted her around, and looked over to the side, barely catching when Fi winked.
"Running?" She asked, looking excited. "You're on the run? From who? What'd you do?" She loved adventures! This was thrilling! Suddenly, Niji wondered if Fi was trusting her to tell her she was on the run! Oh! How cool! She was trusted!

Nodding absentmindedly to the little phims questions Fi nearly laughed when she was licked again. Oh this fox was really too much. Of course Fi couldn’t help but burst out laughing when Niji looked so excited about the prospect of being a fugitive with Fi. Definitely a keeper. I won’t ever be bored with my little skittle around! I wonder what sis would say about her. Probubly that I shouldn’t tease or trick her being as innocent as this vixen is… Doesn’t Reo know that the most fun is in corrupting the uncorrupted?
“I’m just kidding. I’m not really running away, well except that I am sort of.” Moon Fi placed a paw on her cheek and sighed dramatically. “Do you really want to know?”

She nodded, moving in a circle and fluttering her wings, obviously excited. She grinned at Fi, nodding again. "Yes, I can keep a secret." Well, she was running away, but wasn't? Oh this was confusing, but also thrilling! She wanted to know, to assist the fugitive! Wait, she wasn't one... Either way such intense excitement, and the trust the other gave her~ Oh this was indeed a story to share later! Of course, not who it was. Niji kept secrets! Yes she did!
The dramatic touch to her face only made Niji tilt her head. Was the story that intense it caused for Fi to make such an action? Oh now she needed to know!

“Well all right. I suppose I can tell you.” Moon Fi sighed and drew up in a dramatic pose. “I’m not running away and yet I am. You see I live with my sister Reoakee. She’s a phim and a pain in the tail. Always telling me what I can and can’t do. I do love her but sometimes she makes me want to bite something!” Moon Fi clicked her teeth loudly for emphasis. “She’s a very detail and list oriented fox with a stubborn streak like a deava.”
“So I decided to take a break from her. I just poofed off one night and haven’t been back since. I’ll track her back down once again when I want to see her. So till then I’m off on my own.” Her tail flipped about.

Niji blinked when she spoke, jumping back at the proper time and giggling when Fi bit the air. She was a good audience, yes she was~ She clapped at the end, tail wagging rapidly side to side as she cheered. "That was a good story!" She said, twirling once more before resting in place.
"Well, you aren't on your own." She added, hopefully looking at the 'Daeva. "You did say I could follow you, right?" She liked the idea of being with Fi for a bit, Fi was her only friend! And she was funny~ And and and, Niji didn't like it when Fi had to leave to go back to her sister. It was lonely when she left.

Resisting the urge to glomp and tickle the little fox Moon Fi grinned and bowed. “Well thank you. Well I didn’t really think of the best way to spin it I’m so very glad you liked it! Tell me was it worthy of a lick of appreciation?” Moon didn’t really expect a lick, but she was curious if the girl would really do it or not.
Nodding Fi looked at the other vixen. “Yep Yep I did say that your could follow me so you’re right. That’s one point for you!” Moon raised a paw and waved it once in the air as if taking the score on an imaginary scoreboard. “Too bad you need many more to get anything and the points don’t count toward any material prize.”

She hoped over, licking the vixens cheek. "Sure!" She cheered, smiling. The vixen wagged her tail back and forth, smiling. Points? She got something if she got enough points? Well, could she request one thing?
"Well," She mused, putting her paw to her chin and nodding, eyes staring at the vixen in thought. "If I get ten points, can I get a lick, back?" She asked, ruffling her wings slightly with a smile. That wouldn't be to much to ask for, right?

(.. you know I think that Niji is smarter than she lets on.. she already realized that material and service are different types of prized. >.< I like her.)
Moon Fi couldn’t help it. Niji was just too cute. The deava started giggling. The little skittle was just sitting there trying to look so serious. Oh it was great. Fi was just about tell her that points didn’t really matter when Niji spoke again.
Points for licks? Well I don’t really see why not. After all she doesn’t seem like the type to save up for long and then for something else. Besides giving a lick here and there can’t hurt. “Sure thing. Ten whole points and you get a lick back little skittle.”

Niji grinned wide, tail wagging rapidly. "Really?" She exclaimed, joyous. She'd get a lick for only ten whole points! Now how did one get such points? Maybe if she was super quiet about Fi running away and told no one, she could get points? Or, OR, what if she even showed Fi a great hiding spot?
Yes yes! Anyways, she wanted to help her new friend run from her sister, since it was what Fi wanted, and Niji would do anything to make her happy~ "Oh! I know a great hiding place nearby!" She mewled, grinning at the 'Daeva.
