The sun was high and warmth filled the air. Almost too much warmth, though Kousetsu was getting use to it. It hadn't been long since she had come to this pride. Not long at all. And since then she had met a wonderful male, and a few great lionesses. Everyone was so kind to her. She smiled up as she looked in the cloudless sky. So beautiful. Though, she still preferred it to be night time. Cool over heat. Plus, the stars out beat anything that could show during the day.

She made her way around the land, knowing that soon she'd have to go hunting for something. Of course, she didn't know anyone to go hunting with. It was better to hunt in numbers then not. She needed at least one other to help her hunt. She wasn't the strongest, after all. She couldn't take down most things without a little help. Made hunting alone difficult for her. Only able to catch a few sand bunnies here and there. What she needed to take down was a nice camel or something..

She sighed as she looked around for anyone who didn't seem like they were busy. She had asked a few, but turned out that they weren't hunters at all. Most hunters seemed to be busy, or didn't want to do anything at the time. Though, they were polite about turning her down. She wanted to ask Kayo, but she knew he wasn't a hunter. Sometimes she wished he was. Would have been grand. Working with him, spending time, and getting to know him.

It was far warmer than Gunju ever wanted. Him being a bit fatter than most lions made the heat worse on him. He liked the night time completely. Though, he had to hunt during the day. At least, that's what he had been told. He was the lazy type, but did what he was told. He was taught well when growing up. Of course, he'd rather sit in the ruined temples and make stories of the pictures on the walls. He used to do that a lot when he was younger. Now it was rare when he'd have time to do such things. He missed it.

He had made a few friends like that, but they had all grown and moved on from him. That seemed fine with him, yet it also saddened him all the same. Today he wasn't doing anything just sitting and watching the land around him. He had met a few others of the pride, but he tried to keep to himself. Being a bit fatter then others, he didn't have the confidence to really get involved with talking to others.

He watched as a lioness was talking to everyone and anyone she could. He didn't know weather he should hide or if he should sit and watch. Though, he couldn't get himself to move at all. He was tuck in place. Like his body wouldn't let him go. She was pretty, and seemed nice. Perhaps she'd actually want to be friends with him. And stay friends with him. Everyone else had seemed to want to get away from him. Or perhaps it was because they had different jobs than him and were more busy than he was.

Kousetsu was almost out of hope of finding someone to come with her. Until she saw a chubby blue and tan lion. She smiled, hope was still there! She moved towards him, he seemed to just be expecting her. Though it seemed that he was slightly nervous about something. No matter! She was determined to find someone to help her. "Hello!" She said as she moved closer to him.

He seemed nice, then again she didn't know one creature in the land that wasn't. Which made things so much easier when coming up to a stranger in the pride. "I was wondering if you were a hunter, by any chance?" She wanted to do this the right way and not scare him off. Maybe that'd make a better chance out of getting a new friend and partner in hunting?

His heart raced as he watched her come closer, then she started talking to him. He could feel his body sort of shake, but hoped it wasn't noticeable. He cleared his throat before answering her. "I... I am a hunter" he said. He never felt so nervous before in his life. Then again, he never really had anyone come up to him like this. He was normally easy going and easy to get to know.

"Is there something I can help you with?" He asked trying to be nice. As well as, trying to keep it cool. His nerves started to settle after a few moments, this wasn't so bad after all! He gave a weak smile to her before looking away waiting for what she needed. The sun made it worse than it had to be. He could feel bits of sweat trickle down his back.

She smiled at him with slight relieve. She was in luck! Oh this was going to be grand. Though she didn't want to get her hopes up too much. She tried to calm down a little. “Oh! Yes... about that... I wanted to know if you needed a hunting buddy?” She asked him. She was sure the answer was going to be no, but she was hoping to hear a yes. Everyone else had said no, why would he be different. Though every time she had seen him, he had been alone. Perhaps he didn't have any friends?

She was going to be his friend, if that was the case. She didn't like to see those without someone to lean on when they needed it. “I mean, I need one.” She added to it to see if that might change his answer. “I've been looking for someone who wants to hunt with me all day.” She added with a smile. Maybe it wasn't the best way to get him to say yes. To her, after she said it, sounded as if she was trying to guilt trip him. Perhaps that was what she was doing without realizing it. She wasn't sure. She hoped that he wouldn't take it that way. “I mean, if you want to...”

Gunju had never really thought about having someone to hunt with him. Of course, he just figured that he'd always be alone to do stuff. Then again, he did sometimes go out when they needed huge groups. But, who didn't? He could tell she was in desperate need of a friend, or perhaps just someone to go hunting with. Maybe both? He smiled. “How silly” He said at first.

“ I mean, how silly of anyone turning you down.” He couldn't believe no one wanted to hunt with her. Or perhaps, maybe she was a klutz and they knew better then him? He didn't care, he wasn't the most careful in the world either. “of course I'd help.” He felt a little less nervous and relieved. He'd never had someone ask him for anything, it made him feel good. “I mean, I don't have anyone to hunt with me either.” He added. She was really nice, he decided that they could be good friends.

Excitement rolled through Kousetsu. “Sweet!” She said with a high pitched happy voice. She even gave a little jump in the process. Though, she tired to keep herself from getting too excited. She loved making new friends, sometimes she couldn't help it. Which, this was one of those times that was proving to be very difficult. “We shall hunt tomorrow, then?” She asked him almost so happy that she wanted to go tell Kayo about it. She had told him about her hunting troubles, and wanted to let him know that it was over with.

Gunju could see her excitement, which made him smile a little. He could understand how she felt, but couldn't show the same excitement out loud. “Of course, we can meet here tomorrow at this time.” He told her. Of course he'd probably be there before that. It was his place he liked to go and just watch things. Though, he'd never tell anyone that. He watched her more as she seemed to be ready to leave and do other stuff.

She nodded at him not able to say a word more. She was too happy. She'd meet him here at this time tomorrow. She couldn't wait. But first, she had to tell Kayo, and anyone else that'd listen. First Kayo, though. She bounced away as soon as she knew that he understood that she understood that she'd be here tomorrow and what not. She disappeared fast to find her crush.

Finished.
