This is a rp between Yue (Summer Rain 07) and Lin (Chi Sohma)
Yue sat in the moonlight, almost invisible if it wasn't for his bright yellow eyes and lighter markings. 'She's late again...' he thought as he looked up at the sky. There were a few clouds dancing across the sky, playing with the moonlight that fell on the grass. He shivered lightly, the coolness of the night air started to get to him, along with the slight irritation Lin was causing him. This was the third time in a row that she had been late or hadn't shown up. Sighing lightly, he stood and shook out his fur. "This is getting ridiculous." He mumbled to himself as he started to walk back to the dens. this was getting to be too much. Maybe he should just give her up. She seemed happier with all those other guys. Maybe he was kidding himself this whole time.
Laughing and playing with the two boys they met- it was always fun. Showing off their skills and always pushing each other in to the grass. Rolling and laughing, It was easily to be pulled in to a game and then slowly she started to hang out with them more often. Her other sister and most of her brothers came to laugh or watch. She seemed to be taken by them, and she lost site of time and even space. The night was coming out and she realized how late it was. Koran had made it appart that they had to go- and Ubi.. well was being Ubi. Waving their paws a goodnight, when she started to head back.
It struck her. "Oh no! Yue!" She couldn't help but be nervous that she was 'late again'. Unlike the cheetahs she knew, she was very slow for a cheetah and lagged behind a lot. Running up to their usual spot before seeing no one around. Her ears slicked back. "Oh no.." The disappointment in her voice before she dodged the other way to their dens. "Yue~ Where are you!" Her voice echoing in to the forest...
He didn't even bother running. The pain of being rejected again was too much and every step he took felt heaver than the last. He was almost to his den when he heard her voice. His ears turned in the direction of her voice, and he couldn't help but laugh to himself. He debated on weather he should even answer her or not. After all, this wasn't the first time she's coming running back with that same old excuse. "I'm over here." He sighed.
Almost losing breath half way to him, she stopped and wheezed a little. All due from her prior activities. Ears padded back again then up when she heard his boice. Locating it, she quickly tried to make her way on over to him in a light trot now. "Wha~ I didn't think the time went by so fast~ Sorry I'm late~" She plea-ed not really thinking she did anything seriously wrong but she still felt a little bad.
Giving him a goofy smile as she came up beside him. Wheezing still but giving out a little giggle.
He looked at her with a blank expression, until she gave that same excuse, and giggled like she aways did. Normally he'd be okay with it. That giggle was always able to put a smile on his face. But now, he didn't even want to see her smile. "How could you lose track of time? We were supposed to meet at dusk... the moon has been out for a while.." He was sick of her thinking she could smile and everything would be okay.
For a moment, she thought everything was alright and was just about to tell him about her day before he really spoke against her. Surprised, she shook her head and lowered herself. "Yue?" She got in his name before he claimed upon her what obviously happened. "I- I just.. lost track? I.. I don't know what to say Yue.. I'm sorry~ " A soft whimper. "I didn't think it would big deal..." Looking like she really didn't know what was going on. Being mad did NOT run in her family after all.
He rolled his eyes at her excuse. He stood up and started to pace, his shoulders hunched up and his ears laid back against his head as he was trying to think of what to say. "You know, I'd be okay with it if this was the first time, but you've 'lost track of time' a dozen times! And I'm tired of being the back up!"
With him pacing, it was making her dizy, so she sat down and looked at him oddly. "What's- I-" Couldn't even get a word in before he rose his voice... Yue? Raising his voice? He hardly talked in the first place! What was going on with him? "I asked you to come play dozen of times though~ I can't help that when I'm playing I forget.. I don't even think about it all that much." Giving her plea to him. "Back up? Yue~ ! It's not like that!" She tried to throw it in, but was muffled but his talking at the same time. Sighing as she hung her head. "What's going on.. your never this loud with me..."
He stopped pacing as she started her rebuttal, and glared at her, his head low and his shoulders raised. She knew exactly why he was doing this! Didn't she? Suddenly her words pierced him. He stood up straight, ears pointed forward, and a look of surprise on his face. She was right. He had never raised his voice to her before. Why now? Why was he so angry with her? 'I'm jealous,' he thought. But why? Why was he so jealous? His eyes darted as he tried to think. 'Because I lo....'
It hit him like a slap in the face. He knew exactly. He was starting to fall in love with her, and he couldn't stand the thought of one of the other guys taking her from him. "I..." He said as he looked down before he darted off farther into the forest. How could he have been so dumb? And now she probably hated him for yelling at her. What was he going to do with himself...
Looking like a puppy whom got scolded at. He really was mad and it was all her fault! If she had came home sooner.. They were never seperated for that long though! She couldn't even understand. Taken back by him.. lowering herself even further before he darted away. "Yue! Yue!" She yelled after him, still wheezing for a moment before she started out after him. "Hey! Yue! I can't run that fast! Wait up! What's wrrrooonnnnggg!!!" Darting in to the forest and dodging the trees that happen to either be lying on the ground or placed oddly, throwing herself up and on to the logs. "Hey~" Grumbling when she had to go up something and down and up again. Whimpering. "YUE STOP!"
He didn't know where he was going, he was hardly paying attention to anything in front of him. He just knew that he had to run. He had to get away from her. Away from that sad look in her eyes. How could he have been so thoughtless? It wasn't until she yelled out stop did he hear her, and immediately he stopped in his tracks. He was panting slightly, and he had his head hung low. He wasn't ready to face her... not yet
It took maybe a few more extra minutes to get to where he was yet again. All this running she fell short of it and collapsed, sprawled out on the thick grass floor. Panting and gasping for air. "Yue~" She cuued out.. "YUE!" She yelled out when she got up enough air to do so. Then lifted her tired body and limped a little before she started off for him but she really was rather tired and stopped a few times before even getting close to him. "Come back~! We need to- (wheez)". As she did so, she swayed a little then collapsed on the floor again. Tired out and rolled to her side as she grasped at her chest just to regain composure.
Yue walked over to her after a moment and helped her up by using his shoulder. "Come on..." He said softly, "Let's go home.." He felt really bad now that she was having another attack. He didn't want to talk to her about this now, especially when she wasn't feeling well. They walked in silence for a while, heading slowly back to their dens. "I'm sorry..." he said softly. He was never good at apologizing, mostly because he never did something like this.
Sprawled out as she was already completely exhausted and running again and again wasn't the greatest idea as she was fighting for breath. After being helped, she looked at him.. then looked aside as she still fought for breath. Walking now in silence as the only thing else that came out of her was wheezing..
It was hard to still breath but easier than before as they got close to the den. By this time, he would either come in daddy's den or his much smaller lonely one but they weren't often allowed to sleep with another over night. Father would most likely have picked them up, or mother. Whoever was closest. Stopping and immediately lowered herself on her side and looked up at him. Then let her belly be shown. "Why -wheeze- are you -wheeze- sorry..? I'm sorry.. -wheeze-"
He looked over to the dens as they got closer. He hadn't realized how far he had run from her until they made their way back. Now he felt really bad. He lay down beside her, and looked away. "I... over reacted. I'm sorry Lin... I guess I.... got jealous." He said as he sighed. "I didn't mean for it to turn out like this.. I didn't want you to get hurt."
Lowering herself even more and then flopping on to his side when he looked away from her. Rubbing her forehead against his arm. Seeing him at this angle was quite odd and his porportions were all sorts of big up close like this. A smile crossed her maw as she coughed and wheezed all at once. "I'm fine -wheeze- Its because I was out -wheeze- all day. Not your fault. -wheeze-." Nodding as she chirped to him. Waving her tail happily. "Jealous?" Her ears flopping down and up, still laying on her back. "I asked you to come! -wheeze- You never wanna~" She whined a little, obvious she didn't know what he meant.
He looked over to her when she laid next to him, he smiled lightly. He did miss having her close like this. "I know.." He said. He didn't mind playing with them, he just didn't like being ignored when they all hung out. It was true he didn't talk much, but whenever he came around with them, it almost seemed like he was invisible. "I just... don't think I fit in with them." He said as he put his head on his paws.
She blew air out, trying to come back to the even way she breathed before. Calming herself in her mind and slowly started to get back to her normal breathing with a bit of a wheeze or sharp noise here and there. "But.. you like hunting and.. -wheeze- I thought you would.. I think it's because your so -wheeze- quiet. They are loud." She giggled as she almost could remember the exact turns and play of their games while they yelled out and threw each other around.. Then her vision blurred a little and was rushed back to reality. "It's ok. But.. I hope you don't feel that way with me and my -wheeze- family?" Placing her cheek against her arm.. Talking with him and beyond that looking up at the canopy above them.
He grinned lightly when she mentioned their rough play. "Yeah, they are loud." He said as he remembered the time he came to play. He mostly watched on the sidelines as the others practiced hunting and being loud in general (though they didn't seem to have any trouble with that). He looked back to her when she mentioned her family, and his eyebrows crossed a little, "No, Lin... of corse not." He had to admit, he was a little intimidated by her father. But he could never feel that way about them.
Placing a paw at his shoulder and softly pawing at him, almost rubbing til she lowered and turned her body towards him and started to nuzzle. Purring softly then stopped to wheeze before purring again and placing her chin on his arm. "Then.. what's wrong.." Her facial features showing how sorry she was. Her breathing was slightly uneven but a lot better than normal. "I know I was late.. but if you don't play with us I forget the time.. I'll try harder to make sure I'm around." Nodding. Koran had talked to her before about Yue, he was such a gentleman, and his charm any average girl would like. Even Lin felt he was so adorable and sweet. But then Ubi came in and was the gruff but so adorable as well. The boys were so gifted with looks... but really she never really liked them more than friends.. Even when Ubi told her some things.. she tried her best to understand. Then brushed him off, the tones they used, and the liking part- she didn't want them to stop being friends.. because they were really good friends to her!
He smiled when she turned to face him, and started to purr at the nuzzling. This was what he wanted. To be close to her like this. To feel like there was no one else around them. No parents, no Koran, no Ubi... just them. It was moments like this that made him realize more and more that he always wanted to be with her. He wanted to protect her, to stay with her like this while she was having one of her attacks, and let her know everything was going to be alright. "I don't know what's wrong.." He said softly, almost as a whisper, "I'm starting to feel things I've never felt before, and I don't know what to do with them." He said as he looked into her violet eyes, "I know you will." He smiled and nuzzled his forehead against hers. He knew everything was going to be alright now.
Heightening herself for a moment as she leaned against him. Nuzzling and poking her nose to his cheek with a smile. "Is it a bad feeling? Is that why you were angry?" Ears up and went big as she looked at him with worry. "I'll stop hanging around with them too much.. I guess then. I hate to see you like that.. I don't want you to be mad."
He shook his head and chuckled, "No, well... not all of them." He said with a smile as he nuzzled her cheek lightly. "It's alright. You don't have to stop hanging out with them. I promise I won't be like that again.”
Wheezes and nips at his cheek. "What are the rest... Com'on, tell me. Maybe I can help. Ming comes to me for help all the time!" Crawling over his arms and laying on them, beneath his neck and rolled in to him. "If you do~ ? What if we do? How can I help you if I dunno -wheeze- what's wrong?" Shrugging her shoulders.
He smiled lightly when she plopped herself on top of his paws. "Hehe, don't worry about it." You'll know soon enough." He said as he stretched underneath her. "It's been a long day..." He said as he tilted his head, "I think I'm going to go to sleep. Maybe we can do something tomorrow?" He asked as he rose his rump up, waiting for her to get up, not wanting to force her.
Her ears going from up to down as she was rolled off and pulled herself up as if she was straining herself but she'd probably wouldn't say anything even if she had been strained. Flapping her tail as she looked to him with softness curiousness in her eyes. "Hmph. Alright.. just don't run so fast! I can't keep up.." Softly walking towards him and rubbing her nose against his face. Rubbing all the way up to his forehead then laid her chin upon his head. Having to go on her hind legs to do so and hugged around his neck. "If your upset. You can tell me~ and -wheeze- And I shall stop whatever I'm doing to help." Nodding and purring before she lowered herself down. Poking her nose against his before walking off to her family's den.. "...Why sleep alone? Why don't you come in our den tonight?..." A soft smile creased her maw.
He smiled as they got up together. "Don't worry, I will." No I won't. Not about this at least. "Uh.." He said as he looked toward her den, his ears back in slight fear. "Uh.. I don't know... I don't think your father would like that."
"Hey. As long as he could see us, he doesn't mind. I dun know why daddy would be so protective~" Eyerolling with a giggle as she almost tipped over but when she leaned back, she leaned fully on him and gave him those sleepy eyes. "We haven't been together all day~ at least lets sleep together. I miss you~!" She chirped. Oh so innocent the child was..
He laughed lightly, and nudged her back to her feet lightly, "Okay, as long as your dad says it's okay." He smiled as they walked into her family's den.
