King Alexander Varuk stands at the front gates iof his capital city, the sun shining through some mild clouds in the blue sky above. Seagulls can be heard from the nearby harbor.
"Not long now... the army will be here soon." He speaks to himself, holding his helmet to his side and looking off in the direction of the town of Nerranaan.

Elarial was following the rest of the King's army to the gate, her eyes a little dark and unusually sad for some reason. Usually her eyes were always bright, no matter what she was feeling. Now that she was entering her first battle, she had no idea what to feel. Scared, angry, reckless.... Most likely not things she should be feeling, since they would distract her from her main goal. But you won't ever feel happy, delighted, or carefree when you are going into battle. So she decided to just be hopeful, since hoping to make it out alive with as many of her comrades as possible wasn't going to distract her ability to fight. Elarial held her sword at her side, somewhat at attention, waiting for orders, or something to attend to.

Kawyn approached the gate, looking at the army. He was wondering about possibly joining whatever battle was approaching, but that would depend on Sohsmin's mood. He'd been rather moody lately, though Kawyn blamed boredom for that. He made sure the hood of his cloak was all the way up as they followed the column of troops heading for the gate. Sohsmin walked along behind the army feeling rather impatient. He wasn't sure why he didn't just grab his companion and fly over them, but he just kept walking. He grew more and more impatient as he did so and eventually yelled out, "Can't you all move any faster?"

As the bulk of the army arrived, Alexander took his place at the makeshift stage along the city wall. At the top, he stands straight and proud, no sign of the slight nervousness tugging at his mind showing in his face. As he scanned the crowd, he noticed the young elf girl he met earlier. He continued looking around for anyone choosing to join them that was out of the 'rank and file' soldier apprearance. Two young men standing near the back of the group showed promise, though from here it seemed impatience was an issue for at least one of them.
"I wonder if Luna is going to show." the King thought to himself as the last of the group filed in.
"*sigh* Speech time." He said quietly
Coming in at the back of the small army posted outside the city gates, Marik stood watching the king begin his speech, though his mind was elsewhere.
"Lots of soldiers for a seige and re-take mission, I wonder, does the King expect trouble that he is not letting on, or just taking percautions?" He thought to himself as he scanned the armor clad men and woman surrounding him. A few differed from the traditional soldier look, but most were fitted with the weapons and arms of the Kings Royal Army. "Citizens of Pandaryl! Men and woman of Alicia! I stand before you today, asking you all, what it means to be a citizen of this great nation! As I speak, a neighboring city is under seige and rule of a force intent on overthrowing everything that this nation was built on. The Dracomaulum Army has grown in strength and numbers recently, enough to decide attack is the action to take, for reasons unbeknownst to me. They had the audacity to attack a city under my rule, and I ask you today to fight alongside me, one Pandarian warrior to another, and take back our city! We will drive these cur back to the dark depths they cower from, and proce once against our strength and our determination against the coming darkness. The Drakes will fall, and we will retake what is ours! We go to fight, for freedom, for honor, for righteousness! We fight, for Pandaryl!"
Upon finishing his speech, the king dons his helmet and drows his sword, holding it straight and proud in the air, the suns light gleaming off its silver blade. The majority of the army responds, roaring in triumph and clanging sword on shield.

Kawyn looked over at Sohsmin as the king spoke. "You think we should join them? It would be a great way to let off this extra energy of yours." He quickly ducked and avoided Sohsmin lightning bolt. Having released some of his annoyance, Sohsmin flapped his wings and flew closer to the king. "You wouldn't happen to need a couple spell-casters could you?" he asked loudly. Kawyn sighed. Shame he's been so good in every battle so far. He gets far too impatient. He used his own magick and appeared beside his friend. "We would be happy to help you," he said to the king. He was using his charm power as much as he could, trying to keep everyone calm. Kawyn placed a restraining hand on Sohsmin's arm, since he was looking very impatient again.

As the two newcomers approached the King so rapidly, a number of soldiers rush up the stage, weapons drawn and ready to defend the King against these "attackers". However, the King quickly sheathes his blade and holds his now free right hand up towards the rushing men, urging them to stand down. They comply, hesitant to leave their King at the mercy of two strangers. Alex turns his head to face the two, his eyes hidden behind the dark slits in his helmet.
"Maybe not the smartest thing to do boys, though I admire your will to assist. Any help is greatly appreciated, but I'll have you know that rushing to a King after firing lightning at eachother looks pretty bad. Calm yourselves, and get ready to march with the rest of us. We set out quickly"

Kawyn gave a great sigh of relief. I could've sworn I'd breathed my last, or at least would have been hibernating for a while in some dark cavern, he thought. "Just tell us what you would like us to do. We will take of things from there." Sohsmin simply hovered mute, watching the excitable soldiers with slight disdain. Finally, some action! he thought with joy.

"Just stay with the group and don't do anything stupid" Alex said simply to the two men before him. He then took a few paces to the edge of the platform, scanning the crowd until his sight fell upon Aura, standing bright amongst the people.
"Never did understand the Liravan fully" he thought to himself as he nodded her way. He stepped off the platform, dropping the 5 or so feet to the ground, using his legs as suspension when he landed, quite gracefully at that, more so than one would expect from a man clad in armor. He walked over to his horse, a beautiful white stallion with pitch black mane and tail, steel armor protecting its face and flanks. He hoppeds up into the saddle, waking himself comfortable before trotting out to stand in front of his army once again, this time between them and the road they were to take. Donning his helmet, he turned towards the road before raising his right hand and guesturing to follow him to battle.
"Let's retake whats ours!" he called before beginning his trot forwards, his Lieutenants at his side and his army following in step behind him.

"Ma'am, please get back to the..." started Lieutenant Axner, before Alex butted in with, "It's alright Will, she's a friend"
Lt. William Axner simply nodded and slowed paced slightly, giving room and also filling a gap at the rear right side of the King. Alex glanced down breifly and then returned his gaze forwards, continuing to speak.
"Thanks, I suppose I need to be good at speeches, what with commanding an country and all" He said with a chuckle, "Would the Lady prefer to ride or walk?" he asked simply, lightly petting his horses mane while speaking.

Sohsmin brought himself down so that he was keeping pace with Luna, simply hovering a few inches off the ground. He made a slight bow of his head before he turned to the king, "So, what exactly are we going up against? I've spent most of my time in another land and have only recently traveled to this kingdom." Kawyn seemed to glide along the ground as he walked beside his friend, making sure that his cloak kept him all covered. "I'd be much interested in knowing just what we've gotten ourselves into as well," he muttered.
