Just wanted to comment after listening to people babble about shared delusions being real.

Are you aware that you yourself are imaginary? Are you trying to destroy yourself by persuading us not to believe you exist?

LabTech Kestin Are you aware that you yourself are imaginary? Are you trying to destroy yourself by persuading us not to believe you exist? I don't care if you think I exist, so long as I can still cut you. In fact, I'd rather you not believe in me. Because then it'll be easier to do so.

My imaginary friend Divine_Malevolence seems to like me for some odd reason and would generally not do such a thing. Clearly, you are an impostor.

Your implication there is that I would ever hesitate in cutting things, which is false. I cut everything. Some things I just stitch back together.

Reality is everything around us, reality is in its own right. Our senses are the only thing we can use to confirm as reality, not something we can define as reality. They are very well evolved sure, but they are faulty. We humans seem incapable of accepting this and instead, the closest thing we can come to terms with is accepting that whatever we perceive out of reality is reality.
Therefore if something were invisible to the naked eye, it wouldn't exist because we wouldn't be able to perceive it.
But as we both know, that assumption is preposterous.

Money is the most basic shared delusion. Shared value.
Why not go burn yours or give it to someone willing to believe that shared perceptions make for a shared reality?

Honney Boy Money is the most basic shared delusion. Shared value. Why not go burn yours or give it to someone willing to believe that shared perceptions make for a shared reality? Money isn't a delusion, it's a note claiming that some of the gold value in America's vaults belongs to you, and you are capable of trading it. 'Tis done as such due to the fact that most people wouldn't want to carry around massive amounts of the heavy stuff to trade with. Which is possible only because people love the trading of the shiny things for some reason.

Anything perceived topped with a bit of conviction in action becomes reality.

yeah. My physics teacher went on a rant once about how nothing is real, it's only our perceptions, and that everything is just in our heads. I think the lesson was on mirrors. xD

Whether or not the reality is defined or altered by our perception may currently be unknown. But your perception defines your truth.

Shared symbols are quite literally shared delusions. How can you counter that if you can't use words, actions or other symbols I have to consent to agree with.
