It was summer vacation, and staying in Crystal dorms without a roommate was pretty dismal, so Serenade had agreed to move back home and get ready for when her parents were returning to Destiny City. Either way, it was pretty lonely, living in somewhere she should call a home with scarcely no one to talk to. She didn't want to bother any of the Zodiacs either, so Serenade kept silent, mostly spending her days in the grand piano room to practice for an upcoming recital.
Today however, the family butler had encouraged her to go out, and perhaps ask some of her friends along. Get some fresh air, he had said. Again, Serenade thought it would be unwise because the Zodiacs probably had other things to do with their time. But she had agreed, because why not? Sometimes she practiced so much that she felt that her dedication for the piano was draining away. A rest would do her some good.
She was driven down to the beach, and asked to call when she was ready, and Serenade nodded mutely. She didn't even have her usual earphones today, she simply took off her sandals and walked down towards the surf, feeling the sand between her toes and the waves wash up to her feet with each tide that came.

If Sedna wasn't working, he was at the beach or playing soccer in the fields. Today was the beach. The male was immersed in the deep waters only moments ago, his swimpants and hair still heavy with water as he walked towards the shallow shoreline. He grabbed his towel off a rock, the ends were slightly damp from the rising tide. But dry enough, Sedna guessed carelessly. He slipped his arms through the sleeveless white shirt, covering his chest.
The beach was usually empty at this time. While Sedna had gotten to know the local surfers well, he was pretty sure that the female in front of him wasn't a local surfer .. Was she a resident? .. But she didn't look like she came down to the beach to do resident-y things. (What was that? Shell-gathering? Diving? Swimming?) Ocean blue eyes stared forward, shaking his hair, droplets of water spraying into empty space. He cupped his wet hands around his mouth to call down the beach, the breeze carrying his voice towards the female.
"Yo! You lost, Miss?" Sedna called out, his hair clinging wetly to his face.

A voice startled her in the midst of her thoughts; Elke and Grayson had told his parents who they were... so should she do the same to her own parents too? Serenade jumped, her heart leaping into her throat as she whirled around to see where it came from. Had she been stalked by her butler? It was certainly not a Zodiac; she would have known if they were anywhere in the vicinity. She didn't recognize the young man with the light blue hair; it was just a stranger who wanted to enjoy some alone time at the beach too, she figured.
Serenade shook her head with a smile in reply. "Thank you for your concern, but I was just taking a stroll." She informed him. "The beach is a really nice place to come to and relax. I haven't been doing much of that lately." It was mostly practicing the piano, with meals in between, and then patrolling at night. And then there was the weekly Crystal training on Castor's world. At least it felt like she was getting productive, but she also needed to get adjusted to that level of productiveness.

"A stroll .. I see." Sedna said, his gaze focusing on something in the distance thoughtfully. She looked like a girl that was bothered by something. Quite frankly, Sedna wasn't sure what and he didn't care much for what. Problems, no matter how simple one could break it down to was full of complexities. Complexities made his life hard. Especially his job.
....
.......
Did he really want to share it? But she looked like she could use a little cheering up.
Hm. Okay. He had decided.
... How to phrase it. He'd try his usual way.
"At the risk of sounding a little suspicious .. Which is probably true because I don't believe a nice guy can be nice without some shady experiences. That's called naivete. But excluding that .. You look like you can keep a secret." Sedna asked, giving her an unguarded smile. He had little on him but some clothes and a towel. He wasn't sure how much danger he presented. He looked around, makign sure that nobody was in the area. One hand cupped around his mouth, shielding his whisper from carrying along within the wind ..
"Dolphins are really relaxing. You look really stressed out--- Would you like to meet a friend of mines?"

Suspicious? Serenade quirked an eyebrow, blinking at the boy curiously. He didn't seem like a bad person, although Serenade's standards for a horrible people was 'Giving off Negaverse energy' and it wasn't as though she could sense that in civilians. She fingered her compact in her pocket, but she didn't think that she had the need to use it. After all, he had mentioned dolphins!
Serenade's eyes went wide. There were dolphins? Here? She hadn't met one before; her life had always been pretty sheltered even before knowing she was Princess Chronos. "I... wouldn't mind?" She ventured carefully. "Um, I'm Serenade. And you are?"

"I'm Sedna. A universal jack of all trades-- I'll work any job as long as you pay me for it. Sounds a little vulgar, even to my ears, but that's how I work." Sedna pointed to himself, offering a hand towards Serenade, his other hand gesturing to an unsteady area of rocks that they would have to pass. Sedna leaped down from rock to rock, the scratches on his arms and legs indicating that it had taken quite a few attempts to get used to the rocky beach environment. But he felt at home here more than ever, upon discovering the unique location in Destiny City.
Of course, he could get scratches-- He just couldn't allow this female to scratch herself. If he invited her to come along, it was due payment that he make sure she didn't slip or fall until they encountered his promised guest.
They were headed to a cove, placed at a distance that one couldn't term neither far or near. But how else did one expect to find such flamboyant sea creatures? They certainly didn't come up on shore everyday for surfers. Sedna added little to the conversation, allowing the silence and lull of waves to speak for them. Or at least, that was the excuse Sedna preferred to use. Sedna would have easily jumped on the excuse, small talk wasn't his forte.

"Anything? That sounds rather flexible." But hey, if it worked for him and he was alright with it, who was she to say anything? There was stranger stuff in Destiny City, after all. She took his hand, making her way through the rocky area with his help, stepping delicately and carefully on each rock.
Serenade didn't say much as well, simply indulging in the music of the waves. As they approached the cove, she felt a small wave of excitement tingle all over her. Everything just felt so peaceful and she certainly did feel more relaxed than she had been before. It was an interesting experience for her and it was normal, to boot. At least something that would be counted as normal in civilian standards, because meeting dolphins was certainly not normal for Serenade Soriano's everyday life.

"It is. You gotta make money somehow, right?" Sedna was living in a run-down apartment and money, while it wasn't something he particularly desired, it was a necessity of life. Once at the cove, he gestured for Serenade to sit on one of the rocks. He had taken off his pair of slippers, two fingers hooking neatly through the straps to place it carefully to the side.
And they sat, waiting on the cove. After all, the dolphins weren't going to work according to their time schedule. The sun was low in the sky but it had yet to set, instead, pinks and yellows started to piece the horizon slowly. But against the bright colors of the water, a dark spot emerged.
"Looks like it's around the time they come here." Sedna whispered--
--At first, it was only a grey spot underwater. But soon, it was a sleek silver snout that would relieve anyone of the slight fear of sharks, a distinct squeaking in the water. There weren't very many, simply one or two around the cove. Regardless, they were dolphins. Apparently, they came here routinely if the blue-haired male knew about it.melodine cantus YAY I FINALLY TAGGED SOBSOB

"That is true." She replied. Serenade had never really had the need to make money, but her parents constantly busied themselves with work. Although she hardly saw them very often these days, she knew that all they did paid for her studies at Crystal Academy. And she counted herself lucky to be in a school with supportive music programs; Serenade Soriano was unsure what she would even pursue if she hadn't had music.
For a moment, she was mesmerized by the sunset, but she occasionally chanced a glance towards the water, in case a dolphin had appeared without her knowing.
Cerise eyes widened in excitement as Sedna's voice caught her attention, and as she watched the dolphin peek out of the water. "Oh!" She said softly, a smile crossing her lips and a hand reaching out somewhat tentatively to touch one on the snout. "They're really cute!"
