After the camping fiasco, it was somewhat refreshing to now be back in the city. It was time to get back to the daily routine of patrolling the entire city for senshi that had not been awakened yet. However, new things were being added to the feline's schedule all of the time.
One of the most recent additions was the teal-haired girl named Lissy. It had been discovered on that camping trip that she was team member #6 of Team Asteroid. And where as ********* was as excited as she could possibly be, she also know that there was work coming. Certainly, after making the connection, the manx was now able to locate this child wherever she was in the city.
So when the cat showed up at the child's home one day, it was perhaps a bit of a surprise for the girl, but overall not very surprising to anybody who knew the cat. It was only when she and the child were safely alone that the tailless animal would speak to her like she had at the Camp.
"If you have free time... I think it would be best if you met at least one of your other teammates." Egeria had encountered Hygiea, and perhaps had gathered that they were on the same team, but ********* had a very specific teammate in mind right now. Someone who wasn't still in elementary school.
The cat was certain to add "You will need to meet everyone eventually, but I will have to check in with the various schedules and see when we can schedule another team meeting."

To say Lissy knew what she was doing was an assumption that was best not taken. After all she was Egeria and well lets face it camp was still one of those things that she had no idea about. She had been someone else and Lissy wasn't completely sure about how that all worked and then there was the cat that happened to be sitting on her window sill.
Of course the window was the only way into Lissy's room and well she had been grounded. The best time for it? Nope not at all but all the same she had been grounded.
"I have stupid amounts of free time! I'm not allowed to leave my room!" Though of course there was no doubt that Lissy was still finding it all strange she was now talking to a cat but the cat had already given her an idea - after all she got in her room!
Lissy ran over to the window sill and looked down, it was easy to jump onto the garage roof from here and of course then into a tree and down. She hadn't done it before and was starting to wonder shy she hadn't done it before!
"Okay who we going to meet?" Lissy smiled and grabbed her backpack, shoving some prank stuff in it, after all who knows when you might need it.

"...now allowed to leave your room?" the feline repeated, knowing that this was typically considered a punishment for children and teenagers alike. This was not a good sign at all. However, the child was obviously considering a jail break, which ********* was not going to argue against at the moment (as long as the child was safe). Where as respecting the parents was important, this child's duties as a Senshi were more important in the guardian's mind.
From where she sat near the window, ********* tried to stretch her neck out enough to see what the child was stowing away in her backpack, but unfortunately, she wasn't quite able to make the items out from where she was at. Maybe someday she'd consider investigating if there was such thing as a kitty Optometrist.
"We will be meeting with Ellie. She is the team Captain, so it would be best if she knew to consider you an ally."

Lissy looked at ********* and shook her head,
"I got grounded!" She smiled widely and if ********* wanted to know more about why well she could always ask but then again sometimes it was safer to not know what Lissy was getting up to. For now though her bedroom window had been left unlocked and everything so it was going to be an easy escape route.
"Cool lets go then!" She then climbed out the window and waited for *********, it didn't take her long to get out and ********* would have been able to guess this wasn't the first time that Lissy had snuck out of her room.
"So where we meeting her? Oh and what she like?" Lissy wanted to have some sort of idea who this Ellie was before they met her!

"...I take it you like getting into Mischief..." As the child exited, the feline followed, easily hopping out of the window and making her way back to ground level. Once there, ********* asked "Would it be possible for you to give me a ride. I'll tell you how to get where we are going." For a moment, the manx was able to muse over something a little bit. It seemed that Egeria's sphere was very appropriate for Lissy. If only all spheres of power were as kind to their owners.
It didn't take long for the cat to get scooped up, which shooed away her musing for now. Once ********* was settled in the girl's arms, she continued on with the current goings on.
"Once you get to the street, turn left." Hopefully the child knew the difference between her right and her left by now. "...we are meeting Ellie during her lunch break, so close to where she's working now. It's actually much closer than if we were meeting her at her home."
Of course, the question about what Ellie was like was a much more difficult question to answer. "Um... let's see... Ellie... she's pretty strong and energetic... but she can come across as intimidating at times. I will warn you right now... she may not have the best reaction to meeting you. I will try to keep her in check though."

Lissy hadn't expected the cat to want a ride! She had four legs! Either way she scooped the cat up and heading off jogging to begin with just to get out of sight of the house. She turned left when ********* told her to and listened to what the cat said.
"At work?" Lissy wasn't sure why they were meeting someone at work but whatever, it didn't really bother her. How old was this girl? "Why? won't she like me?" Lissy wanted to know everything but at the same time she liked it when others didn't like her it made it much easier to play pranks on them without worrying if they would get upset or not.
"Now where?" She really wanted to hurry up and get there...

"Keep going straight til you get to the crosswalk... we will be crossing there." ********* was a furry GPS, and if she truly tried, she could have a wonderful voice for it too. With the directions now out in the air, it left room for the pair to have more of a conversation.
"And Ellie is a bit bullheaded... stubborn to say the least. I think the main issue is the age difference. Both you and Ridley are the youngest members of the team. Ellie is towards the older end of the spectrum." Ellie was technically an adult, as were Waylon and Lilith. There was a pretty big gap in ages.
They easily reached the crosswalk, where some other elderly man was already waiting to cross. He had obviously already pushed the button. As soon as the pair were within an ear's shot, the cat buttoned her maw quite quickly. The elderly were tricky, because it was hard to tell whether or not they could still hear well.

Lissy wasn't too worried about Ellie, she was going to reply to ********* but as there was a guy around she didn't want to start talking to cat like well she did with *********. That would just be a bit weird.
As the crossing changed they crossed over and Lissy looked down at *********. She stopped and let the old guy go ahead before saying anything.
"Where now?" She looked around trying to work out where an earth they were heading.
"Also why does she care if we are younger then her? It's not a problem is it?" Lissy had no idea really. She still didn't really know what it was she had got herself into - well more what the cat had got her into!

The cat eyed the older man as he hobbled past, and once she was certain they were in the clear, she mentioned "Turn left here... and we'll be going down several blocks... There will be a few crosswalks between... but I'll keep you updated as need be."
For a moment, ********* brought a paw up to her mouth, as if she was trying to mimic a person who might bring a hand to their lips while thinking. "Hmmmm... how to put this..." When she finally figured out a satisfactory way of answering the child's question, the paw was set back down.
"You will probably find this to not be a problem with just Ellie, but with many of the older senshi. Many of them tend to underestimate the much younger senshi." It wasn't like the manx was deaf. She heard the whisperings about the city criticizing the chibi senshi, and many times in turn, whichever cat that decided to awaken those children as Senshi. Considering she had awakened Hug-bell, Ixion, Hygiea, and now Egeria, it would seem they were mostly criticizing ********* well, it wasn't something the guardian would let bother her.
"I personally do not see it as a problem... but apparently I think outside of the box."

Lissy hurried her walk as she was getting a little impatient to meet this Ellie that would probably dislike her which of course made it all the more exciting for Lissy! She wanted to see this person who would hate her and find out what pushed her buttons so Lissy could push them and annoy her.
"Ah okay, well they suck then." She then started running, letting ********* instruct her to go this way and that way till they made it to the garage and Lissy just looked and then laughed.
"She works here?" Then she laughed some more. What a lame job.

The cat nodded her head, not speaking at the moment due to the uncertainty of what company there may have been present. ********* had caught glimpses of Hank and Phil a few times, but she had only encountered Phil one time extensively. She didn't need those two to know that there were talking cats in the city.
The pair didn't even have to enter the front of the building. Ellie had been in the store, waiting to catch even a glimpse of the cat. She already had her lunch ready, which was a paper plate FULL of microwavable burritos. They had been heated up and just sitting there waiting for her to eat them. Before ********* and the kid with the blue-green hair could enter, the door was swinging open. Lissy would find a tall girl with blonde hair in a dark blue jumpsuit standing there, essentially in her way. The jumpsuit had a white patch with red writing that clearly labeled this girl as the desired Ellie. Gold eyes were narrowed slightly as the child received a rather pointed stare.
"...Cat... seriously?" the tall blonde girl seemed to grunt out before signalling the child with the hand not carting around the paper plate of burritos.
"Let's go 'round t'the back so we can talk, kid..."
As the blonde began to lead the way, the cat leaned in close and whispered carefully into Lissy's ear "Follow her... she knows this place like the back of her hand."
Ellie would lead the child and cat around the building, not to the back side where the garage was, but past it into the "wilderness" of the piles of garbage and junk. Fortunately there wasn't too much stink since most of the junk was electronics, but it definitely wasn't a pretty sight. Eventually, she stopped at a car that still looked like a car, but had certainly seen better days. At least it hadn't been squished and scrapped yet. The blonde would sit herself on the hood of the vehicle, setting down her plate quite close to her.
"...seriously cat... another kid?" she asked, as if the tailless freak of a cat actually had a choice in the matter.

Kid then Kid again....
"I have a name." She thought she would point that out as it seemed really rather important. "As does the cat which surely you should know by now!" Geesh this was suppose to be a team member? She didn't even bother with names! How rude is that? Of course Lissy wasn't one to talk about rudeness as well it was Lissy and everyone who knew her soon caught on to the fact that she was more then happy to be rude.
"So lets start again Girl. I am Lissy and apparently your new teammate." She was talking in her stubborn matter of fact - you are stuck with me kind of way. She was also planning how to annoy Ellie best because she guessed it probably wouldn't take much. The older girl didn't seem to be in the best of moods, which ********* told her she wouldn't be oh and she couldn't talk properly! That would also be something to bring up quite often.

Any other label might have worked out nicely for Ellie. Any other label than the dreaded Girl label. The only thing working to this kid's advantage was the fact she was merely a kid. An annoying snot-nosed brat of a kid, but still a kid. So rather than do what would have been the instinct had this been someone her own age and go in swinging, the blonde beat her fist rather harshly against the hood of the already damaged vehicle.
Though Lissy seemed intent upon the tomboy referring to ********* by name, the feline did not seem bothered at all. Nor did she seem to get upset by the sudden lashing out that the elder of the current pair of girls she was with (though one could notice her ears merely folded back for a moment at the loud noise).
"It is a well known fact that Ellie does not like cats. I'm quite adjusted to her calling me 'Cat' instead of my name. It actually is quite unusual for her to call me by my name... so pay no mind to that." There was a pause before the manx then glanced specifically to the young adult.
"...However... you will at least treat Lissy with respect. You know very well I don't have control over who is your teammate..."
Being ever the picture of manners, Ellie interjected "Yeah, yeah, I know... Destiny an' all'a that crap!" At that moment, she stuffed one of the microwave burritos into her mouth with a rather large bite. It was her lunch break and she did need to eat. However, she couldn't help but sourly grief over the fact that destiny apparently saw it fit to stick her with two KIDS while doing that whole senshi thing.
"Yes... destiny," ********* said in that ever friendly tone with a hint of dignity still lingering upon her words. "You will refer to her by her name."
Swallowing the lump of food in her mouth, Ellie pointedly looked to the child's lavender eyes. "Alright, Lissy... tell me, do ya know how t'fight?"

Lissy wasn't sure she wanted to hear ********* be called cat but if thats how it was to be then that was how it was to be.
"Fine, if you say so *********." Though she still gave Ellie the 'evils' before listening to what was actually being said and asked of her.
"Fight? No, why would I know how to fight? I can play pranks a plenty but fight? Nope, no need to." At least she was honest right? It wasn't like she was pretending she knew how to fight she was completely and bluntly honest.
"Why can you fight?" Might as well ask right?

It seemed like the child had given Ellie the wrong answer, for she shook her head from side to side and sighed before stuffing another burrito in her mouth. It seemed as if ********* was determined to have Ellie annoyed at practically every member of the team for their inability to fight. Waylon at least knew quite a bit (he was a Hillworth boy for goodness sakes, it would be stupid if he didn't know how to fight), and Lilith had received some practice with Ellie before. However, Lydia, Ridley, and now Lissy were on the list of "useless in a fight."
Since the teen's mouth was full, ********* decided to be polite and reply more immediately to the child's questions. "I think she is trying to gauge your experiences and how it will assist you as a senshi. Knowing how to fight actually does serve as a bit of an advantage as a senshi. However, there are other ways in which a senshi can work to one's advantage during a fight with the Negaverse."
The last statement was more of a direct hint to the blonde that it was definitely the case for Lissy.
Swallowing down hard, the blonde added a slightly more direct response to the kid. "Yeah, I can fight... been fightin' since I was probably younger than you are now." The cat's hint didn't go ignored, so the next question to be asked was something along the lines of that hint.
"So... as a senshi... what can ya do?" Before she got a response, she was shoving another burrito in her mouth. There were only a few more left, but this teen was definitely making quick work out of them.
