Morgan had chosen the visitor’s lounge as her interrogation spot. There wasn’t anything really fancy or interesting about it, except that it was comfortable. It was a pretty average museum lounge; just a little corner of the museum where patrons could rest for a minute or two. Pictures of space were hung on the walls and there were several moderately comfortable couches and chairs grouped together. Two lone vending machines took up the back wall.

The young adult had slung herself on a couch. She laid out on the couch, trying to look sultry and grief stricken. To get into her role, the redhead decided it was important to really throw herself into her role. She was no longer Morgan, Shlip student. She was now the Lover, though she liked to think of herself as a living Miss Scarlet. A tiny black cap fascinator with tiny black veil was clipped into her vivid hair. Her dress was a tight red dress, with a mildly inappropriate plunging necklace; Morgan didn’t dare go too far with her costume, this was a family place after all!

Hand drawn back to her forehead, Morgan, a.k.a, the Lover, launched into her speech. “How could this happen? This never should have happened. My darling!” Morgan let out a light sniffle.

“What’s going to become of ME!?” A hand rose up to wipe away non-existent tears before the girl’s amber eyes shifted to look at the audience. “Oh please, don’t look at me like that. That man was my livelihood, my meal ticket. A woman like me, well… you can’t expect me to work can you. No, looking good is my job. Being arm candy is my career.”

Morgan sat up and crossed her legs, tapping a foot as she spoke. “In my experience, a dead man is not dependable. Sure, when he was alive the Scientist was a real catch. Not exactly a dream boat, but he made sure I was taken care of. Why would I possibly want him dead? A stiff corpse isn’t the kind of stiff I need.” Morgan smiled coyly.

“There’s no ring on this here finger.” Her hand shot out to show her barren fingers. Morgan wiggled them like a girl who was showing off an engagement ring would. “No, I don’t gain a single thing from his death. He was worth so much more to me alive. You know…. Because I loved him. If you ask me, it was that awful ex-wife of his. Real jealous type. I bet she did it. Trying to get back at me for stealing away her man, and teach the Scientist a lesson!”

Talia was of course attracted to the "lover" first thing. Anything relatively romance related was an automatic plus to any murder mystery. Besides, the way the scientist had kissed his wife's hand and gave such a grand speech ... it was just too much! Talia's face flustered up just thinking about it.

However, as Talia sauntered over to the actress playing the "wife," what she found was not what she expected at all. Up close, her dress was very revealing. Since it was a murder mystery party, she figured talking to the love interest was a good go- after all, love was always a fickle thing.

The lady in the red dress was absolutely appalling. Her idea of marriage was just ... horrifying. Talia was absolutely pissed at her, even if she was just an actress. This was a catastrophe of a human being. How dare she just ... treat love like it was some fickle thing you could pick up and throw away! Internally, Talia was preparing an army of hatred to order at the lady, but externally she just nodded, gave sympathetic looks and words like "Oh you poor thing!" at the appropriate intervals.

Still, Talia didn't want to be too rude. After all, these games were about getting information, right? That meant buttering a few people up. Regardless of how hard she tried, there was probably still some dissatisfaction on her face. "So you weren't married to him? Why was that?" she questioned politely.

Gigi lurked around the courtyard, watching the fountain while she waited for the Lover to finish answering the other players. The museum sure had some pretty scenery these days, she thought, with the greenhouse too. Though it did seem like the lady in red had chosen the least-science-y part of the museum to recline in.

When the crowd cleared a little, she stepped closer to the suspect, sitting down on one of the chairs and sorting through her notes again. At this point she pretty much had them memorised, but it didn’t make the questions any easier to come up with.

She’d tried being subtle and she’d tried being sympathetic, and she was running out of time to win that year’s membership.

“So why’d you kill him? Were you seeing someone else? Was he? Oh! He was totally going to hook up with the research assistants, wasn’t he? Because they’re like, smarter than you?”

Gigi held her breath and waited for the explosion.

Morgan graciously accepted Talia’s initial sympathy. “Oh you’re too sweet.” When the subject of marriage came up, Morgan acted as if that was a sore point. And for her character, it was. The lover had plans for her and the scientist, they just hadn’t come up yet. For a brief moment she face fell flat, thinking of how best to answer such a tricky question. Even though this was all an act, Morgan had invented a back-story for the Lover anyways.

Before answering, Morgan regained her composure. “The scientist and I… we had an arrangement. After that sham of a marriage ended with his ex-wife, she took him for all he was worth, the scientist wasn’t exactly in an ideal position to remarry. Oh, we had the intention, for sure. That man promised me the world, and the largest rock I could possibly want to take up this empty space.” Morgan again pointed to her ring finger.

“He wanted to wait you see, until he had regained his fortune. This was supposed to be the big time; his latest invention was rumored to be the one that would make Iouri a household name. Marriage was just around the corner…. If only it had worked. “ Morgan started to sob again, pulling a handkerchief out from nowhere. Then that bratty girl stepped in with the big question. Why did SHE do it, kill Iouri?

“What? KILL HIM? Never. How could you say such a thing? And as far as his fidelity, there was no question. He was faithful to the core, unless you count his previous indiscretions in his first marriage. But I wouldn’t count that, they were with me after all.” Morgan smiled, as if she had won a prize. “Terrible woman, his first wife. He had no choice but to find companionship somewhere else, in more… tender arms. As for being smart, well, I might not know much about his invention, but you can’t catch a man like that without having something upstairs. “

“Those silly little helpers of his could never have satisfied the man anyways. The Scientist well… lets just say the lab wasn’t the only place he liked to experiment. That man needed me, adored me! Didn’t you hear how he praised me in his speech?” Morgan tossed her offended by the accusation that she was the murderer. “Why would I ever want to kill such a devoted, doting lover?”

Talia threw a glare at the girl who had joined the twosome. Talia was getting some valuable information, and was so rudely interrupted. Of course, there were more people than Talia, but she was playing this game for herself! All eyes should be focused on her, and all questions should come from her lips.

Besides, asking the interviewee if they did it is just ... not how you play the game! You're supposed to strategically weave your way in, not just blunting ask them! Talia bit her lip fighting back a rude insult.

Instead, she turned to Morgan and nodded sympathetically, faking her way to victory. "You wouldn't, obviously," she nodded to further prove her point. She tapped her chin and said, "So you were the famous other woman then? What was wrong with the first wife?" She really was curious about the twisted triangle relationship the threesome seemed to have. Talia noticed that whenever Morgan mentioned the ex-wife, she never really went into detail about what the "horrible" woman did.

In fact, looking at it from a logical perspective, one would note that Morgan was in the wrong, not the ex-wife. After all, adultery was the worst sort of sin (at least Talia believed so. Wronging love? NEVER). So why was this woman so bent up over the last one?

All this talk about the other woman, who in Morgan's mind was the Ex-Wife, was making her character agitated. She made a little huff sound before replying. "What isn't wrong with that woman? They fought all the time while they were still married. The poor man couldn't wait to escape the torture he had to put up with, always came rushing to my door in the middle of night. And frankly, I think she really let herself go towards the end. Probably spent all her alimony on plastic surgery. Botched, obviously."

"Even after the divorce, they were still fighting all the time. About money. She took the Scientist for all he was worth, but it wasn't enough to satisfy her. Money this, money that. " Morgan paused to give a light chuckle.

"I suppose he had a type, but he definitely chose better this time around. That... hellish woman never gave up, she wanted everything. If all his money couldn't satisfy her greed, I'm sure the machine was what she was after as well. But Iouri, dear Iouri, he wouldn't hand over his pride an joy. He had slaved away on that project all through his marriage, when he wasn't otherwise engaged with me. He needed that machine to make all his dreams come true. If it was successful, he would have provided for me..."

Morgan started to sob again. Wiping away non-existent tears with a handkerchief. "I suppose she'll have to be satisfied with whatever he had left. She's still in his will you know, anything that wasn't left to his interns, was left to that vile woman! He was getting ready to change his last will and testament, replace her name with mine.... but it hadn't been finalized yet." Morgan proceeded to cry, and it was difficult to tell whether she was upset over Iouri or over the fact she wasn't in his legal will.
