Question: a long time ago, I was trying to learn the 4th edition of Dungeons and dragons... well, I know someone pointed out that you only needed to read a few chapters of the players handbook. Anyone know these chapters?
I only ask cause a friend of mine wants to learn the game, as she is going to join a game. That being said, I wanted to help her get ready... So she isn't, feeling like she is holding up the game and can have fun. Any help would be nice... Thanks and peace

The combat chapter is a must-read. Beyond that, the other chapters are mainly stuff to pick through during chargen. If she has an experienced player helping her make a character, she only has to know her own feats/powers and the basics in Combat.
