So yea, this an idea that I thought of after remembering a picture that one of the devs showed us. (The one that looked like a planet of null crystals).

So everyone whose been in the null knows of that giant crystal that just sits in the middle of it all. The way I see it is that that big crystal is powering all the little crystals. But the power should be coming from somewhere right? This is where Null Fragments come into play. Say this crystal could also be used to teleport you somewhere, but in order for you to activate it you need to use a certain amount of Null Fragments, which could be either rare drops or rewards from quests. Once you've collected enough, you use their power to activate the Power Crystal (Which is what I shall be calling them for the rest of this thread) and have it transport you to the source of all it's power, the Null-Verse.

The Null-Verse is basically this giant planet made out of the same stuff Null Crystals are made out of. The planet is cluttered with Power Crystals that all lead to totally different places. And at the center of the planet would be what gives all the Power Crystals their energy. However, just like in our Null, the power crystals's ability to teleport needs to be activated.. (Quest time) So now you must "repair" the main source of power with Null Fragments. Each part would take a certain amount, and each time a part is repaired, a Power Crystal activates and allows access to whatever lies beyond.

Now, the player could either be required to unlock places in order, or be allowed to unlock them in any order they wish. However, the difficulty of the world should determine the amount of Fragments needed to activate that crystal.

This could open a whole new world of possibilities for different dimensions, alien planets, etc.
