A vast expanse of nothing, filled with trees or rocks depending on the exact area. No buildings stand here, no Pokemon live here. It is basically a plain of emptiness.

Neon

The Espeon gave a shriek of rage the second the teleported, the cry carrying from back at her tent to right here meaning you could hear her fury in two different places.
Upon being plopped onto the ground she spun around with her fur bristling to assault the Mew with a series of insults.
She had never been treated in such a rude manner before! HOW DARE HE! How dare he even think to be so inconsiderate!
Her rage quickly overpowered her ability to talk and she barked rapidly at him until she ran out of breathe.

Charles & Tolin & Desmond

"...Lady Neon? Charles?"
Tolin and Desmond weren't far off from the now-turned Espeon.
Each one had a marked look of confusion.
"The furry rat attacked the guild. He got some of the pendants but I killed one of them. I think they want to kill her, or something. Now if you'll excuse me, I have someone to skin."
With that, the Mew disappeared having given no thought to the very angry Espeon.
He left behind only a very confused looking Scyther and Lugia, who seemed to be in the midst of a break for tea.
"...What happened, exactly?"

Neon---Orion

"I don't know!" Neon exclaimed, turning around to the Scyther and Lugia with an expression of confusion on her own face.
"He just showed up, said that I was coming with him and when I clawed his face he said he was a friend of yours." The Espeon's tail flicked in annoyance. "...you have bad taste in friends lately."
"Well, isn't it obvious what is going on?" Another voice joined the fray and Orion trotted forward, his expression grim for just a moment until he noticed the tea arrangement.
"...can I have some?" His answer was a swift smack across the face from Neon's paw.
"You were saying."
"Ow. Ow. Okay, okay. Well, clearly the guilds are under attack by Eridanus right now."
Neon responded by flinching and allowing her eyes to widen in shock.
"Anyways, your Mew buddy apparently chased some Ariados minion of his out across the Rocky Plains, it had stolen something. The Relics most likely.. He ripped information from it, but the pendants were already missing so the little legendary apparently went to fetch Neon afterwards."
"What exactly did he find out from this Ariados?"
"Nothing much, just...Eri is obsessively collecting the pieces he needs as though he is on a time limit. The Relics, the final piece of Suecra to complete his trinity and for some reason..." He turned to Neon. "You, my dear."
The Prophet Espeon flattened her ears and shrunk back behind Tolin's legs. "Why me?"
"Why else? Either to kill you because he knows about your abilities...or to capture you and make you use them for his own plans."
"I would never!" Neon hissed in response and Orion shook his head with a light chuckle.
"You'd be surprised the things some Pokemon will say under torture..."
Neon continued to cringe in worry while Orion maintained his strangely cheerful smile.
"That Mew is an interesting fellow. Never seen a violent Mew before. What did he say before he left? Skin someone? That's hilarious!"

He had gathered that much. If the pendants were involved, it was obviously the Elite.
Really, it wasn't even a surprise anymore; there wasn't even a reason to spring into action.
Even if he left now, it would likely be too late for Desmond to make an impact on the tide of the battle.
The news that they were interested in Lady Neon was much more troubling.
How had they found out? He had been sure to tell no one...
Not that he really had time to dwell on it. He had to repair and take advantage of the situation as best he could.
"Orion, were you aware that there was a shield created in order to counter the mirror?"
The only thing he really had to take advantage of was the Espeon... it was rare to actually meet him.

Neon---Orion

Orion, having strutted forward and stolen someone's tea cup [probably Desmond's considering how large it was], ignored Tolin entirely until he'd taken a sip from it.
"Hm, the shield? Ha, nice to know he's still panicking. No,no, there is no shield. That was just a rumor I started to keep him preoccupied."
The old Espeon continued to sip, holding the large cup awkwardly between his front paws. His eyes closed, but opened them briefly to glance upward as though in thought.
"It should keep him entertained for a good bit. I've laid my own hints and riddles along the way to keep him interested and am trying to replicate the mirror to act as bait for future leverage."
Despite his seemingly uncaring manner of speaking the Espeon had done, for the most part, enough to give them a bit longer than their original deadline.
"So long as we have at LEAST one piece, I.E Alfred or one of the relics, then we'll be fine. No worries."
Neon remained in her crouch behind Tolin, ears flattened. She didn't lke any of this. Before she'd been okay with the plan, but now....how had he found out about her? Arceus, it was terrifying.

"Ah." Tolin quietly took a sip of his own tea. "I had wondered. There didn't seem to be any reason for Arceus to create such a shield to begin with."
As long as they had at least a relic though, huh? One wondered. Would it be that convenient?
Well, Tolin hardly intended to maintain such a weak safety net to begin with.
Though, just how long they could rely on a safety net at all was hard to ascertain.
"I wonder just how long we can wait, though. He continues to attack and we're killing his soldiers often enough, but they're such callous and weak strikes. He had the numbers before to simply crush us... I can't fathom why he hasn't."
If it wasn't for all the Elite they had killed over the various skirmishes and battles then Eridanus would have been able to crush the guilds completely without even appearing.
After all, it had taken only a single Elite previously to significantly harm or even destroy some of the guilds, though they had been unprepared.
What was a single guild against three or four of them?
But of course, there wasn't really anything they could do offensively... was there?

Desmond merely sat quietly nearby, apparently resigned to the fact that he wasn't drinking much of his tea.
"You'll be fine. We'll keep you safe."
The words of a Lugia were fairly reassuring ones, at least.

"I'll look into it." Was Orion's only reply to his brother's tactics, or lack thereof. It would make much more sense to place a full frontal attack, nuke the guilds and gather the pieces he required.
Oddly enough it seemed Eri was hesitant to do anything drastic and Orion couldn't fathom why. He was usually quite gung-ho.
Tilting his head back to finish the remainder of the tea, he licked the rim free of droplets before setting it back on the ground and giving a faint purr.
He glanced to Neon at the Lugia's words, watching as she nodded briefly though seemed somewhat concerned still.
"I'll try and find out what he wants with you as well." The older Espeon commented before stretching out his paws with a yawn.
"Well, back to business. Let me know how the guild handled this latests mishap. Hopefully not too many were slaughtered~"With that the somewhat deranged Espeon vanished in a teleport.
"He doesn't seem particularly worried." The prophet scoffed.

"He doesn't have any reason to be concerned. He doesn't consider us allies."
Or at the very least, it was doubtful that he did.
"Right now we're nothing more than tools for him, just as he is a tool for us. The only reason he is 'helping' us is because we serve as a distraction. As long as we present a grave threat, he'll be ignored... it puts him in the best position to strike out and kill his brother. He'll be able to get everything he needs to deal with Darkrai and strike down his 'mortal enemy'. And of course, that's how we're using him. He's the perfect tool in a lot of ways; he's proactive, intelligent and the best weapon we can hope to have. There isn't a single pokemon on this planet we can hope to turn to our cause that will be nearly as strong as he is."
But that's why Orion simply didn't have to be concerned.
"But while we need him to stay alive to stand a chance, he doesn't need us. Our every step simply takes him towards his goal without any risk. Whether or not the guilds succeed, he will strike when Eridanus is most vulnerable. He was sincere in his hope that our members are alive... because if we lose our fighting strength, we'll fail sooner and he'll have a more difficult fight."
Still though, it was good. He was being active instead of waiting for orders, but he wasn't making mistakes.
It really did beg the question, though; just when would they be able to turn the tide and take the offensive?

Neon

Neon starred at the spot the other Espeon had been, nodding in silence as Tolin explained.
She seemed to understand it, but at the same time found it highly annoying. Orion was not one of her favorite Pokemon to begin with and his rational side was even less appealing than when he thought he was a balloon.
"I just dislike the idea that we're all dying while he bides his time to do his own thing." The prophey finally said, red eyes narrowing angrily at the ground.
"And I certainly hope you don't mind me staying around you two for the time being." Arceus forbid that Mew pop up again later. She was more afraid of him than Eridanus.

"Even if I could directly control him I wouldn't change his course of action, He's an a**, but he's doing what needs to be done. He's a pocket ace... we need to use him when he'll make the greatest impact. If he steps up before that we're risking everything. There is, perhaps, one other way to kill Eridanus... but the guild would be slaughtered in the process."
Solaris's abilities could be enough, but they would have to keep him protected long enough to get him close.
Most likely everyone in the guild would die trying to shield him long enough for him to get close.
And even then, whether or not that would kill Darkrai... it probably wouldn't. They would still lose.
"Well... as long as we win in the end. That's what matters. We can't afford to lose this."
The Scyther put his tea cup down and stood up.
Desmond suddenly grabbed onto a tiny bag that was strung around his neck and snapped it off before tossing it to Tolin.
"If it's all the same, I should check on the situation. Desmond will stay behind and keep you safe."

"I understand, go. Let me know what's happened." The Espeon seemed calm for the time being, her earlier panic fading into the back of her mind. It never truly left, but at least she wasn't focused entirely on it. Times were stressful enough without that whole 'ohcrapEridanuswantsmeforsomereasonandit'snottohavetea' thing over your head.
"Be careful." Were Neon's last words, though useless considering this was Tolin she was talking to.

"I won't be long. By the time I get there the fight should be over.."
If the teleport barrier was decently sized he would have to walk quite a distance to get there.
With a crack, the Scyther disappeared in the first of many jumps.
Desmond was simply left behind sitting near the comparatively microscopic Espeon.
In a single, swooping motion he pulled one of the tea cups out of the bag and put it down beside a thermos.
"Tea?"

The Espeon was frowning at the place the Scyther had stood moments ago. Her ears swiveled lightly as the Lugia spoke and she turned to find, to her delight, an exra cup that she assumed was for her. A smile crossed the psychic's features, she would not worry until Tolin came back with news that required worrying. For now, tea sounded nice.
"Yes, please~" She chimed, padding forward to the thermos to pour herself a cup, as well as refill poor Desmonds.

"My thanks."
Desmond picked the oversized tea cup back up and drank lightly from it.
It wasn't all that long, comparatively, before Tolin arrived once more in a crack.
"There was an attack, but it seems like aside from some death things are fine. We lost some of the pendants but two of the Elite were killed and we have their pendants now, so however barely it was a win for our side."
They lost more pendants than they gained but Eridanus's greatest weakness was his tiny, ever-dwindling pool of resources.
With the comment barely off of his tongue, Tolin tossed the bag back to Desmond who promptly caught it with psychic.
"Hers is yours, Desmond. You know what to do if it comes down to it."
The Lugia grimaced plainly and quietly put down the cup of tea.
"Are we that far...?"
The Scyther gave a nod.
"I'm afraid we are."
The Lugia gave something of a nervous smile as he looked over at Neon.
"It looks like we'll be spending a fair bit of time together."
The Scyther sat back down and picked up the cup of tea he had been drinking previously.
"We'll head back in a few minutes once the chaos has calmed down."
