she saw him, guys
he's still alive... or dead, w/e
---------

Claire had seen him. Jack Skellington. CLAIRE HAD SEEN HIM. He wore black, was tall, AND HE WAS A SKELETON.
Ooooh they're not going to push me aside now! thought Claire with a grin I'll show them all, I'll find Jack and we'll be best friends for life and I'LL SHOW THEM.
Claire had to find Jack. She had to. It was like, really important and stuff.
Srsly.
She ran to he closet and picked out an outfit that looked the most detective like before grabbing her bag and chucking in a magnifying glass and a map of the school. Claire didn't even stop to think about why Jack would be a student despite the fact that he would be very old and was the pumpkin king of halloween town. No. That didn't matter and all questions would come later when they were friends. She quickly tip-toed out of her dorm and closed the door, making sure to lock it as the last time she had left it unlocked her pet follyjox Hamburger went on a rampage and ended up destroying a neighboring demon's dorm. She ran down the hallway as quietly as she could- she didn't want the other demons to know that she had seen Jack just yet as they may have tried to take away her glory.
She was going to be famous, no doubt. Claire: Jack finder and cool dude.
But there was no time to dawdle: Claire needed to find him before someone else did. She had her camera in hand and started running around the school. She ran like she had never done before and before she knew it, she had reached the cafeteria.
I may as well, like, just grab a snack. I might starve if I don't! Yep, that's a good idea. Claire thought as she entered the cafeteria. She started taking photos of the area and the other unsuspecting students eating and chatting. Any one of them could be Jack, I may as well take some photos to make sure. She grabbed four plates full of food and started taking pictures of them- this time because she could and she wanted to, plus she thought it kind of looked like a face and wanted to show someone else so they could reassure her. After she was done eating, she got seconds. After she was done eating that, she exited the cafeteria to find Jack.
But mannnnn, she had done so much work already. Did you see how far she walked to get to the cafeteria? Man. That was a loooong way.
So Claire rested for a bit and had a snack.
Delicious.
BUT NOW IT WAS TIME TO WORK!
While she was wasting precious time, someone may have had found Jack already! This was a bad thought and Claire decided that she needed to deal with this. She ran around the school a bit more, peering in classrooms whenever she saw fit, using her magnifying glass to try and find clues or evidence on the ground and putting her hands into a gun shape to feel like an assassin spy. It felt great. Claire was going to be a spy someday, that was fo' sure! Well, apart from the fact that she was incredibly obvious and looked like she was constipated due to the fact that she was singing spy music under her breath.
ANYWAYZ
Claire noticed a swift movement out of the corner of her eye. It had come from something tall, and Claire knew Jack was tall! Maybe it was him? IT'S HIM. I KNOW IT'S HIM AND I'M GOING TO FIND HIM, I TELL YOU! She started running after the shape, working out where it had gone and why. She saw the black again and turned around 180 degrees to find... A black curtain hanging out from the monster dorms. It was delicate looking with intricate lace and Claire briefly wondered where the monster had gotten it- it was very pretty. She suddenly had a thought. What if Jack was in the undead dorms? He was a skeleton, right? So he would want to hang out where the undead do, naturally. Maybe he had even taken up residence in an abandoned dorm? Maybe! Claire sprinted around to find the correct dormitories, then she found them.

They smelled like slowly rotting flesh and the air was incredibly cold. Claire didn't like it. She held her nose as she wandered through the many hall ways, gagging as she occasionally looked at the dorm doors which were occasionally decorated with things that Claire found so disgusting that the mere thought of them made the hairs on the back of her neck stick up. Claire looked and looked, but after a while she got very queasy and didn't want to visit anymore. Claire, with a pouty expression, left the dorms and decided to go and find Jack tomorrow. In the mean time, she had plenty of frozen meals and a large television to keep her company.
