Gaige starred at the two young adol's in front of him. His heart still stung as he thought of the female wolf he had recently met, and recently lost in a tragic accident. His sad eyes studied the two blue wolves. He did not know what to say, he did not know how to break the news to them. How would anyone though? It was such a strange situation.

He had only known their mother for less than a day, they had met during a rain storm and gotten quite well acquainted, not to mention Gaige's huge crush on the gorgeous blue female. Hours after meeting the two wolves found their selves in a horrible situation. They were walking along a ridge that was still very wet from the recent rain storm, when the ground beneath them began to slide. They had unfortunately been at the wrong place at the wrong time and were stuck in a mud slide. Gaige was fortunate enough to make it to a large rock near by, hes new companion however, struggled to make it on the rock. Gaige did all in his power to help the poor female, but there was little he could do. Before the female finally gave up she asked Gaige to find her children in the woods where she had left them, and to watch out for them. Her eyes were filled with desperation as she finally let go of the rock and was swept away by the mudslide and off the edge of the ridge.

Gaige sat upon the rock for a little over an hour. Heart broken and scared. He had never witnessed another wolf die, and it was not something he wanted to become accustomed to seeing. After finally finding the will to clean himself off he decided to head for the forest to respect the wishes of his newly lost friend.

His ears flickered and he looked at his paws. "My name is Gaige." He finally said, "Your mother has sent me to you."

Kanye watched from behind his sister as the newcomer sat silently before them. He looked sad and helpless, but still Kanye feared him. He only trusted his mother and his sister, and was never far away from either of their protection. His ears laid plastered to his head as he winced as the new male wolf moved. When the wolf spoke Kanye could hear the kindness in his voice. "Mother?" he whispered faint enough for only Kesha to hear. His heart raced at the thought of his mother, it had been nearly 3 days since she had left them here in the forest, he could not wait to see her again. Kanye was definitely a momma's boy. His tail wagged and his ears perked up but quickly he stopped. It dawned on him just exactly what the new comer, Gaige, had said. "Where's Mother, Kesha?" He whispered again. Fear started to flow through his bones as he looked at his sister for answers she did not know, eyes full of worry.
