However asking for feed back on feed back seems a bit of dimensional Escher circle jerk. I'm asking for feed back; in the mean time if you could shoot him some feed back as well that'ed be awesome.

I suppose it would be late to say that what he wrote was nice. And I'm not saying because I know you but you did well in pointing out his conversation with the music threw off the pace. It sort of brings to mind people who say that they have spoken to God. They can sound highly intelligent up until that point and then you think that they are a nut case.
There was a strong start with the description of everything and you feel as though there was about to me this enlightening moment of great insight not dialog. Like the build up of a great action movie and when you get to the climax you get a sad twist that the villain was a sibling or old friend and instead of a big fight you get a big discussion before one turns and walks away.
