[OOC] Announcements [Updated!]

Whenever we have an important update in the pride, we'll post it here. The newest updates will be at the bottom of the page (or on later pages if necessary). Whenever we post a new announcement, we will put the date in the title of the thread so keep an eye on the thread for updates. We'll also send all important announcements to the mule to be put in weekly pride announcements.

Please pay attention to these, as some of them may affect your character in the pride and the things they are allowed to do.

1. The pride is now under new (IC) management! ShinosBee and Thalion have taken up the ranks of Story and Song Keepers. ICly you should just assume that the goddess appeared, basically said 'these guys are in, those guys are out' and things went on as normal. OOCly Felyn is essentially gone, and DFA may be reclaiming or retaining OOC ownership of the pride, but she is no longer in a position of IC leadership.

2. We're going to be reposting all the sticky threads because we lost the password to the old mule. Please pardon our dust.

3. We SERIOUSLY need to overhaul the members list and the breeding permissions thread. look for places to post your SoA coming soon!

Starting October 1st, massive changes will be ripping through the Kizingo'Zaa, signaling the end of one era and the beginning of a new one. Muhali, Goddess of Insanity, and the god in charge of protecting the Kizi (and making them insane) has gone missing! The God of Peace, Li, has given the pride a blessing which has lifted the insanity of the area! Seeing an opportunity, the Goddess of Thieves has stepped in to teach the pride how to protect themselves now that they can't count on the curse/blessing of Muhali to protect them!

Changes have already been made to all the pride's info threads, so PLEASE reread everything, as some of the most critical aspects of pride life have been altered due to this! We have also set up a thread to post what ranks your SoA will be changing to, and if they are staying or leaving. After the 1st all changes will officially go into effect, and Meta RP will begin as the pride tries to settle down after these great changes!

WRAP UP FOR THE 2011 PLOT:
The major changes to the Kizi landscape are:
-The pride is returning to its gypsy-of-the-sea roots!
-The Goddess of Insanity has left, and the 'curse' she put on the pride has been lifted.
-Most lions can no longer hear the muses. Some still can, but they are the minority. No lions joining or born after 10/1/11 will hear muses at all.
-The Goddess of Thievery has stepped in to teach the pride new ways to survive.
-Ranks have been overhauled big time.
-Some customs have changed, but things like rituals and ceremonies are still intact.


UPCOMING 2012 PLOT:
We are currently underway with plans for the 2012 Meta. It should be a lot of fun for everyone, and bring lots of new opportunities for people! As always, there will also be cubs/lions given out, most likely!

ShinosBee has decided to move on and has given me permission to establish a new IC Leader and a new OOC Owner. Ame is stepping down as the Gypsy Queen and in her place, Fireheart will be taking on the role. Because of this, SilverLutz will be our new IC Owner. This transition will take place in a private rp and then announced to the pride in a larger open roleplay. As for our new OOC owner, Saint Sergio has offered to give me a hand in maintaining the owner's list and overseeing the pride's rules, etc. There shouldn't be too much of an in-character recoil. If there are any concerns, please contact Thalion.

Our Metaplot has concluded!
The Bahari are now allies with the Kizi pride. Both have come to terms through this incident and while there is still some bitterness between pridal leaders, this is expected to improve as the two prides begin to mingle. Officially, the pride will not meet formally until the next year when most of the current cubs and juvies are old enough to begin courting by both pride’s standards.

How is this going to effect the pride?
• Once a year, the pride will meet on a neutral beach between prides. Young singles will be encouraged to mingle with one another and begin forming relationships that will lead to the creation of a new generation. It is up to the owners to decide if the pair will go to one pride or the other. However, both members of the couple will be expected to comply with their new (or old) home pride’s traditions and standards.

xxx○ Epine and I will discuss the exact traditions, name, etc. of this festival. Who knows? This might be our next metaplot!

• While Kizi members are still not allowed to share their true name wit the Bahari, they are to regard them as an extension of their pride. This means that stealing from the Bahari is absolutely forbidden. Violence against the Bahari is unacceptable.

• If you have an incoming cub from the cubnappings, you can use any rp you had during the meta as a joining rp. If you’re coming into the Kizi, your cub’s rank is “Prince” until he or she has taken a trade and a new gypsy name. You don’t have to change their rank, if you have a plot to keep your member a prince, but they will not be permitted to breed, and stay, if they remain a prince.

► "The Mummer's Ball" (the Bahari may choose their own name for this, but the Kizi will use this term for it) mating info has been added to the Pride Information!

► I am adding a Metaplot Listing for the pride! This will keep the big events of our pride in one organized place with a neat summery and links back to the rp's involved for those that want to catch up on the pride's history.

► We are planning the 2013 metaplot now! If you have anything you would like to see in the pride, post in the OOC forum and I’ll draw off of suggestions to try making this year’s meta a lot of fun!

There have been a few rules that have been ignored recently, we are restating them here and we will restate them within the pride’s announcements.

Cubs and juvies leaving the pride…

Remember that the rules for cubs have changed! ALL cubs must stay with the mother until they are old enough to leave. Once a cub reaches adol, please make a note of their leaving or their gypsy name in the member update list.

This was posted clearly on the first post of our Breeding Rules.

Breeding without being on the member list

Please remember that if your Kizingo member has cubs and you do not post the litter in that thread with all the required information so they can be added to the memberlist, they will be restricted from breeding again.

This is posted clearly on the first page of our member's list.

Please be sure to read over the pride information. Little bumps like this make it very hard to keep an updated member’s list.

exclaim There will be some new ranks added to this metaplot! They will include:

• Gypsy Dutchess/Gypsy Duke: These are the members of the old nobility. This will come about in the metaplot. (Come on, Shandor, respect!)
• The dreamers & King of dreams: The king of dreams will be given away in our metaplot when we start up (which should be sometime next week!) and dreamers will be pride members who have joined the dreamers’ court to gain a muse. (Ie- these guys will be insane once more!)
• Another “Lead Mummer” rank will be made! This is a very, very rare exception but considering it’s the patron goddess, we can all deal with it. XD

Returning Members!
• If you (or your character) have had a change of heart regarding the pride now that there is a way to regain lost muses, you may join once again! Just let me know if you would like your lion to return during the meta or sometime after. Either way, you will need a joining rp to get in!
