Vinata laid quietly, legs spread out in various directions. She had been walking for what seemed like weeks and her feet were rather sore. Ah, but it had been worth it. She had seen many things while on her grand adventure and even teamed up with others to explore the vast world around her. Vinata smiled boldly as she stood up and smelled the air. "It's so sweet smelling here." She said as she began to walk deeper into the forest. When Vinata had first stumbled upon the forest she had thought that she was just having a dillision due to lack of water, but how could something so sweet smelling be fake? Vinata shook her head. No this was real, and so was everything in it. As she walked she began to wonder if anyone lived here at all. She could smell the scent of others, but the smells seemed to come from the canopy. Was that even possible? She had barely learned how to climb up a small tree, how would others be able to climb those huge tree's? Vinata stopped walking and once again laid down. Her paws were hurting from walking all day and she was beginning to get a painful feeling in her belly from not eating since the early morning. Vinata closed her eyes and rolled onto her side. She stretched out her paws and fell into a light sleep.
Jubes had been watching the cub approaching the pride for some time now. Not in person but in her mind, in her dreams. She had sensed the young one coming for a day or so. She had been blessed with the gift of sight, from her father. She had been waiting on the edge of the jungle where she knew she was going to come, the little green and black lioness. When she finally did find the jungle, Jubes stayed above her, quiet like the night sky that marked her pelt. She rather liked the look of this child, her adventurous and happy nature. She seemed to be care free, especially for a girl her age. Jube's stopped when she stopped, observing her resting. Hm. Well, there were some options to think of here. She could go and tell the warriors and make them scare her, or she could speak to her. Hmm.
She made her choice. She began to slink down from the trees, her eyes alight. "You must be weary."
Vinata almost had a miniature heart attack when she heard the voice of a lioness next to her. "OHMYGOSH!" She yelled as she jumped up and stared at the blue female. "Oh wow..." She said, trailing off as she looked at all the bright white on the lioness' pelt. Vinata smiled lightly as she began to think how the colors reminded her of the night sky she had seen near the mountains of where her parents had made their den. As Vinata returned her eyes to the females she smiled a large grin. "Hello! My name is Vinata, and I am very...... weary." Vinata replied cautiously. What does weary mean..... She thought, not giving away that she had no idea what the lioness was talking about.
Jubes smiled at the girls reaction. She probably didn't expect anyone to inhabit this jungle, at least not from above. She chuckled, stepping down onto the ground and reveling long legs, used for climbing. Across her chest she wore a veil usually, but for climbing about and stuff she didn't like to wear it. "I am Juubeihlee. I live in these lands." She said with a grin, bowing her head slightly. "I was watching you... you have traveled far in your time." She said thoughtfully.
Vinata was still surprised that the lioness had come from the trees, but there were many things about her that confused the young juve. "You've been watching me?" She asked hesitently. Vinata quickly looked around her to see if someone had been following her. "How did you do that? No one was following me." Vinata sat down with her ears pinned back in confusion. "My head hurts...." She said, rubbing her head lightly with her right paw. "How did you? And why?" Vinata stuttered out as she closed her eyes trying to mentally figure out what had just happened. "HOW DID YOU GET ALL THE WAY UP THERE?" Vinata opened her eyes and pointed to the canopy.
Jubes smiled. "Let me elaborate!" She said simply. "I am a seer. My father is a god and he blessed me with the gift of sight. I saw you heading this direction a few days ago, the gods told me to meet you here. I was not literally following you." She said softly. "I simply watched you from afar and followed you for a bit when you entered, just to see you for a bit alone. Just to see how you were.
She looked concerned when the girl spoke of a sore head. "Oh dear... are you alright?" She asked, holding out a paw. "I'm a priestess. I can take you to my queen she may have something to help...' She then tilted her head back up towards the trees. "Oh we all do here..."

Vinata listened to the lioness' story and smiled. "I've met another seer before!" She said, showing that she felt silly for asking Juubeihlee in the first place. "I guess I should have guessed you were a seer." "Oh! I'm sorry!" She said with a smile. "I'm alright, just a bit... overwhelmed by how lions could live in the trees." She sighed, looking up at the trees again. Vinata could not control her stomach from growly ferociously at the blue lioness. She blushed and looked at Juubeihlee. "Sorry."
Jubes shook her head. "No reason to be sorry. You're tired is all. I can see it... and I can hear your belly speaking to you in an angry way as well.. " She pointed a paw. 'Here follow me. There is no way I can allow a young lady such as yourself to go without food. We have plenty here and the king can just yell at me if he needs too." She said simply, starting to climb up into the trees, and then thought better of it. "Would you prefer to walk on the ground?"
Vinata smiled and nodded lightly. "I have not eaten since this morning." She replied. Vinata watched as the blue lioness began to scale the tree with awe. "Maybe the ground would be better." She said, staring down the tree. Vinata wrapped her front paws around the tree's base, nails dug deep into the bark. She attempted to climb up the tree but didn't even make it to where Juubeihlee was. "Yeah. Ground is better." She said, trying to get herself back down. Vinata could tell that learning how to climb these large tree's was not going to be an easy task, but she wasn't about to give up either. Vinata smiled as she planted all of her paws back on the ground. "How hard is it to learn how to climb the tree's?" She asked curiously.

Jubes smiled. She normally didn't expect others to be so openly accepting of her powers. She bobbed her head lightly. "It took some getting used to... thats for sure. When I left my home to live among my new family, I had a hard time with the trees... and the hammocks... We sleep in them among the trees." She said pointing up. She was pretty understanding of how others didn't understand sometimes. Especially a pride of lionesses and lions who were so devoted to one deity and to their lives.
When the girls stomach growled, Jubes got a very serious look on her face. "You're hungry... Come... we will not turn down anyone who needs a meal. Just stay at my side... no one will question with a priestess with you." She said with a smile, walking along the ground, the path unseen but known by the pride by habit.

"You sleep in the trees." Vinata said with amazement. Wow, these lions were surely something different. She wondered if she would one day be able to go up in the tree's with them. How how she hoped she could! Vinata smiled kindly at the lioness as she attached herself to her side. "Yes Juubeihlee." Vinata replied. As they walked she made sure to take in every minute detail so that if she was to accidentally get lost from the lioness she would be able to find her way back. Which proved to be harder then it appeared as every plant and tree was different and seemed as though it was both out of place and in place all at the same time.

Jube's nodded lightly. "We sleep among the trees. We feast on the ground, as we can all be apart of the meal together. We hunt on the ground. But the trees is where he lay." She lifted her head upwards towards the vines and thick branches that she called home.
She walked along the 'trail' and as they neared the main gathering area, though Jube's knew they were being watched by others above and around; but did not want to scare the girl. "We have last nights meal out for eating... you will have some of that..." She said softly.
