(( ANYONE can join in this RP! But maybe give a little heads up so that we can form a sort of posting order... <3 )) Another day... another long, boring day. At least for the young lioness Aysha that's how time passed; she had nothing better to do with her time really other than to laze about around random parts of the land. Yet at least she was alert and smart enough to stay in the free zones and whatnot. Otherwise she would have found herself in very deep trouble...
No matter though. The female blinked as she rolled from her back onto her now warm white belly. The sun was really quite keen on keeping her body heated. Blinking again, she began to wonder where everyone was. Thus far in her travels she had only met about four other lions... not very many really.
"Hm, I wonder..." she contemplated out loud, tail flicking curiously as her dark eyes scanned the landscape around her. Nothing... nothing, nothing, nothing. What was with this land?! Perhaps she should venture out, maybe actually seek out others instead of waiting for them to come to her. Aysha was a social animal, after all, even if the lights weren't all on upstairs.
Moving slowly to her paws, the lioness again scanned the area.
"There's got to be somebody out here..."

The bulky adult lion sweeps across the ground, moving as fast as he can away from the pridelands. He knows where he is going and the journey seems suddenly endless. The only true friend he ever made was that of Asi and Maawio, and now that he had lost the latter he was determined to find somewhere else to stay. The kusini lands where his friend apparently ruled.
He moved with his head down, eyes watching as his paws moved against the dust coated ground. He no longer looked the loud and rowdy lion of his past.
His heart had been torn from him, snatched away as his mate and son departed. He could no longer be a pridelander and was now condemned to a life of walking alone as a rogue.
Alone.
Alone...
Alone...
His head snapped up as he heard a voice close by, turning his ears to locate the direction of the sound. Who was there? And then he saw her, the young lioness. Putting on a smile - fake as it may be - he padded on over, large bulk movigng with no more grace than a cub.
"Why! Hello there little femme."

The young lioness was beginning to think that she was doomed to wander alone forever, without anyone to stay by her side. Or, at least, that's what she was thinking before the male lion approached her and greeted her rather kindly. And anyone who treated her nicely when they didn't even know her was, according to her, worth getting to know.
So Aysha turned slowly around to look at the other. He was older than she, and seemed like he had just recently been through a great hardship. Now, she wasn't an expert or anything, but she also wasn't completely oblivious. She saw the sorrow in his eyes that betrayed his lovely smile. But if he wanted to smile while his insides wept then that was okay with her.
Smiling back at him, she opened her mouth to speak. "Well, hello there... uhm... big male." A sudden stupid grin crossed her face. She acted much like a cub, and she wondered if he would mind.

Her response made him chuckle and he grinned down at her from beneath the tresses of his golden mane. He'd never heard anyone reply to him in that manner and the surprise of the greeting helped take away some of the initial depression.
"You lost, eh?" He asked, flicking the mane from his eyes and twitching his ears, "or are you simply wandering this...pleasant land." He gazed over one great shoulder to scan the horizon and smiled. "Anyway I'm Amari, and if you would be good enough to tell me your name I'd be very grateful."
He waited patiently for her reply, trying to keep his mind from being haunted by thoughts of his ex-mate, his ex-pride and his ex-friends. He had nothing anymore and that is what hurt him the most.

Aysha chuckled slightly as she looked over the male. He was handsome, that was for sure, but she wasn't thinking about anything of mating or whatever. Her mind never wandered in that direction, not with her cubbish nature.
"Heh, not so much lost as bored of these lands. I can't seem to find anyone... well, except for you now." Then her ears pricked foward as he introduced himself and asked for her name. At first she was hesitant. That other male who had impregnated her was still fresh in her mind and fear still ran through her blood, turning it cold.
But then she eventually figured that this one was nice enough and seemed more focus on his sorrow than anything.
"I'm Aysha," she replied simply, wincing slightly because the cub growing inside of her chose that particular moment to kick and squirm.
"This isn't any pride's land, is it?" she asked worriedly in an attempt to take her mind off of the pain. "I wouldn't want to be intruding or anything..." Especially not with the new life growing inside of her.
(( Decided to RP her as pregnant in this RP 'cause I think it'd prove more interesting. ninja ))

"Yeah, there isn't really much to see around here is there." Amari certainly agreed, for he had seen many lands in his time and most of them had a little more interest to them than this desolate land. "But I;m sure there are worse, though I have yet to discover it." He grinned and reclined onto the ground so that he wasn't towering over the femme so much.
"That's a very pretty name you have there." It definately had a soft and gentle sound to it that was for sure. "And no...this doesn't belong to a pride, atleast not the last time I checked." He sighed, for it felt strange to answer no instead of yes. He was used to calling the Pridelands his home now and being away from it made him...well it made him unhappy to say the least.
"So, you not going anywhere in particular?"
((OOOoo! I never knew you had a preggie lioness, by a rogue I take it? ))

Aysha shook her head. Indeed, there wasn't very much to see around here. Just dry land and some grass now and then. Oh, and the occasional watering hole. She had had to learn where one was just to get by in this land.... and she started to wonder why she was even staying here. There was nothing here for her, so why was she continuing to live here?
"Haha, far worse, let me tell ya," she chuckled, remembering all of those lands she had traveled through just to get to this particular area. Her home wasn't the best, nor the lands around it. So this place was a sort of paradise... only not.
The young lioness blushed under her fur as the male complimented her name; it wasn't often anyone said that to her. But her mood quickly changed as another sharp pain went searing through her lithe body. Aysha let out a slight growl as she shut her eyes and sat down quite quickly.
Attempting to hide it, she opened her dark eyes again then just smiled weakly in his direction. "That's good to hear; wouldn't want to get attacked or anything because I trespassed..."
Then she quickly shook her head in response to his last question. "Nope, not anywhere at all. I just wander where ever.... what about you?"
(( :3 By a rogue, yush. ))

He grinned, "sounds like you've seen your fair share of miserable places, eh?" It had been a long time since he had walked forsaken lands, and though at first he missed the wandering he now missed the feeling of being settled.
This time he did notice the pained expression on her face, shuffling forwards slightly as if that alone could bring her comfort. "Yes, the whole pride thing can be a little nerve-racking, you never know how a lion will react to a stranger."
At her question on where he was heading he looked a little baffled, not quite remembering the name. "I'm off to this place...uhh Kusini lands? A buddy of mine is the king there and I figured I'd pay him a visit as I haven't seen him in a long while." He thought on Asi for a moment, wondering how the old grouch was, before turning his attention back to the black and white femme.
"Hey, are you okay? You look like you're in some sort of pain."

"Oh yes," she grinned in response to his comment about her being to many miserable places. "I've come a long way from my homeland..."
Hm, her home. Aysha wondered how Mother and Father were doing. Also her sisters and brothers. She hoped they were happy. Eyes cast down as she remembered all of the good times from back when she was still with her family. It seemed like so long ago since she last had someone to keep her company.
Shaking her head, the pregnant she came outof her thoughts just in time to see the male shuffle closer to her. Frightened slightly by this, she rose to her paws quite quickly and stumbled backwards. It was that night all over again. But this time she wouldn't be caught. She'd make sure he stayed his distance.
"Oh, w-well that's lovely. Must be nice to have some goal to achieve... some others to go visit." Her voice was rushed and nervous, showing that she wasn't at all comfortable. Yet she didn't want to let him know that.
In order to try and continue to hide it, the young lioness shook her head quickly and stammered out something: "Nonono... I'm alright, really...."

"You don't sound alright." Amari replied softly, taking a couple of steps backwards as he saw the...fear in her eyes? "Is someone after you? Is that it?" He glanced around, catching no sight of any other for miles around, "if that's the case then you probably lost them a ways back or else they'd be in sight."
He put on one of his charming smiles and settled down once more, "is there anything I can do to help? I can be your bodyguard if yah want! I may look clumsy but I can be a pretty good fighter if the need calls, I won't let anyone hurt yah."
He gave a bow of his head, the golden mane falling into his eyes and draping over the slow arch of his nose. His hazel eyes sparkled and a genuine smile curved the side of his maw.
It was good to have someone to talk to.
And to think! He had finally resisted the urge to flirt!

Drama... Aysha wasn't built to handle drama. Yet here she was, turning some innocent meeting into something big and frightening for her.
What was she doing? These cubs were making her insane... maybe she should just tell the male. Maybe he'd have some sympathy for her and so wouldn't go after her? Or would that make him rush forward again? Males had strange ways when it came to spreading their genes around.
But before she could say or do anything further, she saw Amari back off a bit. This allowed her to relax, though only slightly. However, she stiffened once more as he asked whether someone was after her or not. She didn't even hear the rest of his words and his suggestion that he be her bodyguard. She was too busy looking around frantically, trying to find that other lion. He was out there, she knew. He'd come back... if not now then sometime later.
Returning her gaze reluctantly to him, Aysha shook her head to clear it. And in the next moment she had made up her mind; she was going to tell him. He didn't have bad intentions showing in his eyes....
"I'm pregnant, okay?" she finally blurted out. The secret was just getting too much for her to handle on her own.
Suddenly her ears went down and she darted forward to stand by him. Then she went back to looking around frantically at her surroundings. Voicing the worry in her head, the young lioness said: "I don't know if he's still out there.... he attacked me and there was no way for me to escape..." There was a random pause as she bowed her head slightly, eyes filling up with water. "And now I'm left alone with these cubs."
The female didn't exactly want sympathy at this point... she was just glad to get that off of her chest.

He suddenly realised just how terrifed the lioness was. Someone had hurt her that was for sure and it angered him that there were lions out there capable of such a thing. That was the danger of being a rogue he supposed, it wasn't safe to be travelling the lands alone.
Her declaration took him by surprise as he had not expected her to be so open about such things, and as she drew close he simply remained where he was in case an action caused her more fright. "Don't worry kiddo I would never do that, you'll find that many lions wouldn't either. I'm sorry you had the misfortnue of running into him, such a pretty thing as you doesn't deserve it that's for sure.
He paused, feeling suddenly sad that such a terrible thing had happened to her. Having cubs was supposed to be a wonderful thing for a female...not this. His nose wrinkled in digsut but it quickly fadfed under a soothing purr. "I'll stay and protect you if you like, until you're sure you weren't followed by him." He drew himself up a little, "and if he does turn up I'll make certain that he won't be able to walk again."

Aysha eventually flopped down on her side, though not hard enough to do any damage to the lives inside of her. Her wet tears stained the earth below her as the dirt clung to her black fur.
Glancing up at him with watery eyes, the female shook her head slowly. She was thankful for the offer, but she could probably handle herself now that she was alert and aware of the danger. Plus, she didn't want to trouble him or anything.
"Oh, really, uhm... that's okay. You don't have to do that. I don't want to trouble you or anything," she mumbled politely, tail flicking as her eyes cleared up.
Would he really help her?
