Trixie is walking through the trees, hissing to her boa, Snakey, who is following behind.
"Any here?" she hisses.
"Noooooo," Snakey replies, in his strange tongue.
Bellatrix taps the handles of the brand new, albeit tiny, elbow blades that she simply had to have when Lenore and Nyoka took her out shopping in Gaia. "At this rate, I will never make new friends!" she hisses, slightly huffy.
"Weeeeee wiiiiiiill keeeeeeeep loooooooookiiiiing," Snakey says, slithering a little faster to be beside Bellatrix.
Bellatrix sits down under a tree, and looks around, scanning the area for more snakes or, perhaps, other Pae'il.

Signis walked along the trees, looking about, hammer on his shoulder, thinking of how he could MAKE a hammer out of Guardium... It would be difficult... Extracting the ore too hours... days really, then then there was smelting it... and hammers were heavy... but a Gurdium one would be lighter, stronger... He smirked and chuckled, yes... he could make a much stronger hammer that could take more force, he could use his power to his full advantage then... Tho really, he thought that the Guardium hammers would be better for detail work. He looked down and caught a glint of metal and tilted his head, moving over to see what it was, looking around the trunk of a tree to see a child Pae... With... blades... "Excuse me little miss, but would you by chance need those sharped a bit?"

Bellatrix looks up at the Pae that has spoken to her, and just stares at him with unblinking yellow eyes. She reaches a green hand up, and pushes her green and silver bangs out of her eyes, and tilts her head a little, as though thinking over his question.
She glances down at Snakey, and reaches over to pet his scaled head. "Think he is alright?" she hisses.
Snakey does his version of a nod, and Bellatrix seems satified, watching as his tongue flicks out to smell at the new Pae.
She, however, reaches for one of her elbow blades, and takes it from it's sheath. She runs a finger over the blade of it, not flinching as it cuts into her skin, even if it is a shallow cut.
She looks up at the Pae, and smiles a little, showing her slightly bleeding finger. "No. Just bought, blade sharp," she says, in her broken English. "I Bellatrix, this Snakey," she gestures to the boa coiled next to her. "Who you?"

Signis chuckled and crouched down. "I'm Signis..." He smiled, letting his hammer slide slowly off his shoulder away from the snake. "Nice to meet you Bellatrix, Snakey..." He bowed his head to the snake. "You'll want to suck on that finger a little to stop the bleeding, trust me..." He chuckled and lifted up his right thumb, showing off a tiny scar. "Course, do it often enough and you'll get one of these..."

Bellatrix looks at his thumb, with a little interest shining in her eye. "Nothing wrong with mark. Mark give character. Even if small," she shrugs a little, and tilts her head, listening to Snakey.
"Snakey say he pleased to meet you. I pleased to meet you, same, Signis," she says, for once being cordial.
Hey, he was polite to Snakey. Major points for him.
With curiosity in her eyes, she hisses a question to Snakey, keeping her yellow orbs on the hammer.
"Aaah!" she smiles, as though pleased with something Snakey said. "Hammer. That what that is?" she asks, after Snakey is done hissing. "You hit people or things with? Look heavy, would hurt."

Signis laughed loudly and sat, patting the hammer. "If I had to hit somebody with it I would..." He sighed. "I personally gave up the way of the warrior awhile ago, but you can't really ever forget it..." He ran a hand through his hair and he smiled at the child. "Right now I hit metal with it, to make things like those blades you have... I also make armor... sometimes trinkets..." He shook his head. "It's very heavy, it has to be to make the metal act like I want it to..."

Trixie grins, probably thinking of the sound she imagines a hammer would make when it hits someone.
Snakey butts her with his nose, much like a cat would, and she sits back, patting her thigh lightly. Snakey slithers into her lap, and coils. "You're heavy, Snakey. You should probably go on a diet. . . ." she hisses.
"I aaaaaaaam aaaaaaaaall muuuuuuuuuuscle," Snakey informs her, a hint of offense in his voice as he rests his head on her knee, watching Signis.
"You make blades? Sound interesting. Metal have to be . . . " she hisses something to Snakey. When he replies, she nods. "Hot? So can bend? How long it take? How many blade you make in past?"
Yes, she is curious now. Signis might be a useful friend. He not only makes weapons on occasion, but he has not made fun of her English, and has not poked fun at her hissing. . . .

Signis smiled. "It takes awhile... I have a little help though..." He lifted his left hand and held it over the ground in front of him, red energy covering his hand and then pounding into the dirt, leaving a tiny crater. "That makes it easier to mold the metal if it's not as hot as it should be... but that makes not so good blades, I use very hot fires, but it still takes me several days to make a GOOD blade..." He tapped his chin with his right hand and thought for a moment about her question. "Well..." He huffed. "Many, many blades... More than I can count, of varying sizes and shapes.."

She watches, with interest, as the energy forms, then hits the ground. She stares at the crater a moment, a small smile still on her lips.
"What? Blades weak if use that?" Trixie asks, tilting her head. "What sort of blades? Any like mine? You know how to use?"
Snakey hisses something to her, and she frowns now. "Snakey say I ask too many question. You tell me if I give you headache, like Snakey say I going to do?"

Signis chuckled and shook his head. "No, no, I like that you ask questions, trust me, you're not going to give me a headache, I haven't talked to anyone like this in a long while, it's rather refreshing actually, most people are bored by my hobby..." He smiled and tapped his chin, eyeying her blades. "Nothing quite like that... Close... but not quite, I'm not sure if I know how to use somethign like those, my sepcialty is swords..." He chuckled and shook his head.

Bellatrix laughs, it is an odd sound, a mixture of hissing and her normal voice. Probably very unattractive to the ear.
Of course, she does not care about the comfort of others, anyway. "Not borring. It better to know how to do it, and not have to spend money on weapon."
She takes her elbow blades out of their sheathes again, and holds them properly. The curved part at the end of the hilt is cuving off the outside of her palm, while the rest of the blade rests, flat, against the backs of her forearms. "Nyoka show me how to hold. She said just swing like you punching, more likely. Just move fist different, so blade can hit. Want to hold?" she says, shifting the blades to that she can hold the hilt out to Signis while she holds onto the flat edges of the longer blades. "Please be careful. I like them much."
"Sword?" she says, thoughtfully, as she still holds out the twin blades. "Oh! Nyoka use those. She say bow and arrow better for her, but she had learn sword because she can't always be in back of fight." She looks proud, again, as though she has said something especially smart.

Signis smiled and bowed his head. "I'll be careful..." he murmured taking them and holding them like she'd shown him. He hmmed a little and then carefully offered them to her, but not before checking them for sharpness first on this thumb, opening the scar up again. He smiled and nodded his head when he heard her talk of fighting. "That's very true, you can't alwasy be, espcially when you're fighting indoors. I always made sure that I could fight up close, I never did focus on long range though..." His wife... He shook his head, not walking to get sad talking to this child.

Bellatrix takes a moment to put her elbow blades away, but keeps a pointed ear open to listen to Signis.
"You fight before?" she asks, noting the shake of his head. She thinks it best not to ask about it. She only just met him, and if he didn't say something to her about it, then he didn't want to talk about it, anyway. "You win?"
Bellatrix scratches her head a moment, as though thinking how she can phrase it. "Nyoka say bow was easy for her. But, she strange creature. Say she pick it up one day, and knew. Uhm. . . instinct?" she looks at Snakey for confirmation. He nods, and she continues. "She stress I learn range, if I need protect my home one day. She say it best take out as many possible before they get close to you," she nods, almost sagely. "You confirm?"
She sighs, knowing she got her words mixed up, but she doesn't try to correct herself. "Nyoka say she teach me archery. Maybe I teach you when I good enough? If you want?"

Signis smiled and he sighed. "You could say that..." He sighed a bit and leaned forwards. "I've trained with my brother, he beat me once... and only once... near about knocked my head clear off... He's not as good as I was, I was always better, but I got him mad, and he got a LOT better..." He laughed. "I got cocky, I learned not to do that..."
He thought about her words as she talked about Nyoka and ranged combat. He tapped his chin. "That's open to debate actually, I mean, it's a sound tactical premise, but, likewise, you could let them all get close and then obliterate them quickly while avoiding their attacks... Or, you could strike from the shadows, there are many ways to win in combat... don't let anybody try to shift you into one you yourself aren't comfortable with..." He smiled at the child.
"I would love that Bellatrix, thank you for the offer, I guess I could use the practice..." He smiled, never really having EVER touched a bow in his life.

She listens to him, carefully. Then, she says, almost with a wisdom beyond her age, "Learn many ways, you . . . adjust? to situation. Range be useful, at some point. But, I like elbow blades. Close up."
Yeah, she would want to see the pain in their eyes, up close and personal.
She then beams. "Good! You have bow? Nyoka say you have to know how string it first. Sometimes, she say, depending on bow, if you can't string, you not ready for it. She going give me small bow, easy string, for first one. I practice that, and when I ready, she will come here, and start teaching me. So, I guess you practice string, then you be ready when I am?" Absently, she strokes Snakey's scaley head again, causing him to hiss, pleased.
"Then, maybe, if you think you have time, you show me how to use sword? You say no, if you want. I won't mind," she smiles, to show that those words are truth.
