Magic basked in the sun enjoying the sun on her upturned belly as Shoshana waded through the grass. Three new lives had joined the herd's existence thanks to Shoshana's daughter. Sho looked back as she stopped. "You think they'll stay now my friend?" Sho had been pondering if her daughter would leave once more with her mate and foals in tow. She didn't begrudge them wanting to keep both sides of the family int the lives of the little ones. After all.. she expected it.

Amu had woken up early and left Kuro along with her two children to enjoy some quiet time to herself. The wind felt good against her body as she flew through the air, her strong wings carrying her as long as she willed them. It didn't last long though because she was starting to tire from all the flying. She had no idea really how far from her home she was but as she soared over a small plain, she noticed another horse below her and seen it as a perfect opportunity to get to know someone else. Her wings batted down at the ground as she worked on landing softly, gracefully on the grass below her.
As she got closer, the wind from her wings made the grass bend and sway. Once she was safely on the ground, she released the breath that she didn't realize she had been holding. But it was an often occurrence because when she goes to land, she holds her breath in anticipation for making it safely back to the ground. She loves flying but hates the landing part, but she would risk that any day just to feel the wind against her body. She put all of her fear behind her and she walked over to the mare with a soft and gentle smile. "Hello, I'm Amu." She greeted them with her normal tone of voice, she had no reason to be scared or on edge. In the back of her mind, she felt like she was forgetting something and then it hit her. She had forgotten Ikuto back home, she sighed with annoyance because she knew he would be upset that she left him behind. The pink and white mare put that farther back into her mind as she tried to focus on making a new friend.

She was slightly startled when the newcomer touched ground and introduced herself to them. Offering a friendly smile in return, she nodded her head. "I'm Shoshana.. and this black ball of fluff near by is Black magic.. but she prefers Magic for short." She looked around and gave a wink to her companion to let her know the other mare wasn't a threat. Magic was more jumpy with strangers since the attack that left the whole herd jarred for a while.
Magic gave the other mare a calculating stare down before catching Sho's wink and settling into a more... relaxed seated position in the grass.

"It is a pleasure to meet the both of you." The pink mare was being honest, she loved to meet new people and wasn't afraid to say hello to anyone. "Ikuto!" She called out for her little lion companion, he was black in color but held blue markings to compliment his coat in an odd manor. "My companion might just make friends with your little adorable bear." She said the words being hopeful that something new might start from this little meeting.
Ikuto heard his name being called by the pink mare and so he pushed his little paws to go faster. Within a few moments the pink mare was coming into sight, he stopped beside her and sighed with relief that he could stop running to keep up with her. If you could even call it that, he was always far behind but not too far to be there if she needed him.

Shoshana smiled and nodded her head. "Pleasure meeting the both of you. What brings you this way?" She cocked her head curiously wondering what would bring the mare so near her herd lands. It was a precaution she was use to asking. She was trying to be more cautious what with her daughter's new foals.
Magic looked from the two mares then into the direction of the lion. Luckily, it was another's familiar and to her knowledge familiars often left other soquili alone. Still she regarded the lion closely.

"I was just flying through and noticed you." Amu spoke the words and then noticed that the bear was looking at Ikuto so she glanced down to see what he was doing.
Ikuto was cleaning himself and felt like he was being watched so he quickly spun around in a fighting stance. He realized that Amu was the one who was peering upon him and that black bear who belonged to the other one.

"Ah.. I see.. Forgive me my suspicions.. I'm just looking out my my herd..." She offered a polite smile and glancing down to Magic, cleared her throat to get the bear's attention.
Magic didn't meet Sho's gaze. Instead, she chuckled at the seeming paranoia the cat had. "What's wrong? Choke on a hair ball? Maybe you shouldn't lick yourself like that then." She grinned wide with another chuckle. It was apparent to Sho now that she was in one of her blunt, cheeky moods for the day.

"It's okay. I understand completely." Amu said it with an honest smile and then looked back down at Ikuto to watch him being silly.
Ikuto hissed at the black bear when he heard the chuckle. "I like to stay clean unlike someone who reeks." He taunted the irritating black bear and then looked up at Amu. He leaped onto her back and pawed at her mane gently. It was his sign that he was ready to go, he just hoped that the pink mare would oblige him.

Sho stamped her hind hoof near Magic's hind end, sending the bear another warning. Shaking her head she gave a small sigh. "Forgive me.. it would seem that Magic has stumbled into one of her.. moods.. for better or for worse.." She gave a small frown and reaching down nudged Magic's side with her nose. "Run ahead of me.. I'll be fine. Report back only if there are things of concerning degree you see on our borders.. if none.. then return to the den.." Lifting her head, she smiled politely at the other mare, after all this was now her guest of sorts. "There.. now we don't have to worry about our familiars not getting along." She said with a small chuckle.
Magic frowned but nodded. She knew the borders needed to be checked any ways but she wasn't happy about being run off after that hairball called her smelly. She didn't stink.. she was fairly clean..

"Oh yes and forgive me for Ikuto as well, he does have a short temper." Amu decided to ignore Ikuto and pay attention to her new friend. "He doesn't know better to think before he speaks I don't think." Amu began to chuckle lightly and was met by Ikuto digging his claws into her back. She jumped in surprise and shook him off onto the ground.
Ikuto growled at Amu as he hit the ground, he couldn't believe she was choosing the being with the bear over him. He was actually a little hurt, he tucked his tail and wandered away.

Shoshana chuckled lightly. "It would seem that both our familiars just need to get better at functioning around other familiars." She grinned wide for a moment and turned her head enough to watch the black fussy butt of Magic disappear in the brush. Turning her attention back to the other mare, she gave a small sigh. "Some times.. I wish she was better behaved like my daughter's familiar." Shaking her head she chuckled. "Well.. no use trying to change her now.. Just have to accept her for her opinions.. after all.. deep down she's got a good heart."

"I believe that you might be right about that." Amu then followed it with a soft laugh because she truly did find it humorous that Ikuto was acting like he was, it wasn't like him at all. She ignored it though, she figured that she could make it up to him later and all would be forgiven. "You have a daughter?" She was a little more curious to learn about this other mare and her family. "Ikuto is a good protector for my daughter Sayoko, it seems that she is the only one who allows him to go with her." Amu sighed almost in sadness because she missed her daughters.

She chuckled and nodded. "I have two daughters and a son actually.. and three grand-foals that are new additions." She couldn't help but to beam at the thought of how well he daughter Briallan had done for herself. "Unfortunately, One of my daughters I don't see much..."

"That is such a shame that you don't get to see her." Amu felt a little sorry for the mother that couldn't see one of her children and how worried she would be if Sayoko or Shikon didn't come around much. "Well congrats on the grand children." She smiled and in the back of her mind she hoped that one day maybe she would have grand children to boast and brag about. But somehow she knew that those days would be a long ways off, she just hoped she was around when it happened.
