Most of the day at school Mitsu had been nervous about the events that were to follow. She was excited to learn how to dance but was doubtful that she could, especially the hoedown type dance that Levi and Mot were going to teach her. The lupine really had a deep down feeling that Mot was overestimating her ability to not step on feet.
Still though, the lycan made her way to the courtyard at the designated time a few books in her hands all about dancing. She was reading up, how smart of her right! Maybe if she read up on the subject it would aid her in being able to do it and not land on her face. There was hope.
Shuffling the mask on her face Mitsu patiently awaited for her teachers to arrive. In the meantime, she flipped open a book hoping to absorb the knowledge it contained. Please please let it help.

Mot was done for the day, as far as classes went, but now he had other business to attend to. The long legged reaper strode towards the courtyard at the expected time, seeing Mitsu reading a book.
"What's all this? Homework?" Mot asked, leaning over the small ghoul's shoulder. But these were books on dancing? Did she think reading about it would be equal to the real thing?

The cowboil was getting smart again. Levi had no problems dancing with Mitsu, however. The ghoul had really tried her best as far as the tatzel could tell at prom and she'd seemed eager to learn. That was a good start; the petite ghoul had the flare for dance even if her feet disagreed. Levi'd try to get some rough n' tough moves in her if it was at all possible. Dancing like her folk wasn't going to be easy. The cowboil had a pretty good take on things but- she wasn't going to get into that at the moment.
Making her way to the courtyard (at least she knew where that was!), she saw Mot and Mitsu already at the designated meting place. Mitsu seemed to carry a book with her... was this also part of her class homework or something? Her pride went up a notch at the thought of tutoring someone; she was a smart tatzel.
Aye, ya'll. What're we learnin' ere? Levi looked to Mitsu, then to Mot and back at Mitsu again, tucking her thumbs into the straps of her overall cotton jumper dress. She wore bloomers underneath; always bloomers underneath.

The lupine's ears gave a twitch hearing approaching feet and looked up in time to see Mot looming over her shoulder. He was so very much taller than her.
Homework? "I...I guess." She nodded a little peering through her mask at the reaper. "I...I was trying to get some ideas on what I would be doing." Closing the book she turned around and held it up for him to see. From the title it looked to be the fundamentals and basics of random dance styles. "I thought it would help."
It wasn't long after that the tatzel arrived and Mitsu raised a hand to her in greeting. "I..I uhh...got books. O-on dancing." She stuttered. Had she done wrong in doing so? Books always seemed to help.

Well, Mitsu had the right idea, he supposed. There was theory behind everything there was to learn, and reading couldn't hurt.
Levi arrived soon then, he looked from her then back to the small ghoul with the books, tsking and shaking his head. "Well, you meant well. But reading a book won't help you when it comes to feeling a dance." Mot patted his chest. "It's all in the heart. Though technique is also a big factor."
Mot gently tapped at the book in the ghoul's hand suggesting she maybe keep it on the table for now. "Me and Levi are here to help you out. Right, Levi?" See? He didn't call her princess in front of Mitsu. Such a nice boil!

Books for dancing? Well- it was true that this sort of dance was not Mitsu's type of ceremonial dance. Levi nodded her head in approval at Mitsu's attempt to read a little about the dancing. But ultimately? The best learning she'd get was from the experience; it was always better to try things out for yourself so you could get a taste firsthand.
Apparently- the cowboil had agreed. Gotta say- agreein' with ya on that front. First step kin be learnin' tha books but ain't nothin' gonna prepare ya like 'a personal 'xperience. Ya learn ferm tha inside out. Her words came out sounding similar to what Mot had said as well; at least they both had the same teachings in mind.
When called on, she answered. Darn tootin'. That meant yes. In a non-menacing fashion, the tatzel placed the back of her hands to her hips and questioned Mitsu to get the ball rolling. How well ya think ya'll can keep a beat, Mitsu? You'd have to have a feel for music as one part of learning to dance. If you couldn't follow, ...well, that's where the trouble would begin. Everyone had to start somewhere and Levi wanted to know what base she was working with even if Mitsu had some training. What did the ghoul think about it herself?

Mitsu's ears fell back a little but she slowly nodded placing the book aside from now. It seemed that learning was doing in this instance...hopefully that wouldn't end up being painful.
Once the book was set aside with her things the small lycan looked toward her much taller instructors tilting her head slightly when asked about keeping a beat. She could do that. "I play the piano." She explained, her hands coming up in front of her as if mimicking the music that she played. Air piano she did it right.
She looked between Mot and Levi thoughtfully as they slowly eased into beginning this process. "S-so where do we start?"

Mot nodded as Levi affirmed their objectives. Yes, the instructors were on the same page, at least.
"Well, I put some simple music on my eyephone last night, so we'll use that as out dancing music for now." At least Mitsu knew something that involved music. This shouldn't be too hard, right? "So I say we start with a couple easy foot movements." Mot pulled the phone from his back pocket, flipping through some songs before setting the device down, allowing the playlist to play as it willed to. Nothing too fast yet. This was lesson one, after all.
Mot took a few steps back, beckoning the lycan to follow. "Alright. We'll alternate between Levi and I. I'll start a simple step, then you copy it. Levi will then show another series of steps, and you follow again. We'll try and keep it simple. That alright, everyone?"

Levi raised a brow to Mot's eyephone. These were those portable skelephones she'd heard about and seen randomly in the school! The tatzel had no idea they could house music as well. Perhaps it was something worth looking into afterall...
Piano was a good place to start then. If Mitsu understood timing of the keys to create melodies, she could follow her feet in a similar way, right? Alrighty then, few short moves first ferm Mot. Then I'll show ya a few 'a ma own. When Mot began the music, the tatzel looked to Mitsu and then to the reaper's feet, waiting to see what he'd do.

When Mot beckoned her forward Mitsu complied following with a short shuffling of her feet. His plan sounded simple and her ears perked when the music started to play on his eyephone. So she just had to mimic the moves that he performed and then watch what Levi did and do the same thing. They both said they were going to start off easy....hopefully easy meant level zero.
"I-I'll do my best," Mitsu's voice was meek but determined. They had taken time out of their day to show her some dance moves, she would do her best not to let them down.
Looking to Levi as she stepped up Mitsu's focus went back to Mot, specifically his feet watching carefully to see what she was going to have to do. Hopefully there would be no jumping or...quick shuffling or.....oh no.... she was going to have to move her feet. This could only end in tragedy.

Mitsu looked nervous, to say the least. Maybe even terrified. Mot would have to be super slow for this one. He'd never really taught dancing to anyone before, so this would be a learning experience for him as well.
Well, eyes were on him, so Mot took a step to the side, crossing another leg over the one that just moved, then taking one last step to the side, all to the rythm of the beat. He did the same thing again, only back the other direction.
Step one. Would she be all right? It was rather simple, really.

After watching the move carefully Mitsu was fairly certain she could do it. The steps were fairly simple and slow. With a deep breath Mitsu prepared herself trying to mimic what Mot had just done.
Step, cross, step. First part of the move down, success! That wasn't so hard, now to only repeat that in the other direction. It was when she started to move in the other direction that Mitsu realized her coordination only went so far. Step, cross, stumble. Luckily she didn't fall but she had caught her heel on her toe and ended up stumbling a few steps off path. She was still upright though, that was always a plus!
She mulled over trying it again before she turned to Levi. Maybe the tatzel would have something different that wouldn't make her trip.

Levi watched as Mitsu tried a few of Mot's beginner steps before blinking at Mitsu's wobbly figure when the ghoul tried to replay. Sighing a bit internally, she was getting a feeling the ghoul might have a few balance issues.
Well, what better to test out balance than a spin? No worries, Mitsu. 'Ere, give this'a shot.
Staying in place, the tatzel took to one heel and pivoted on it for one single spin, returning to her initial direction. Levi figured if Mitsu could complete that spin, the first thing might have just been a fluke. On the other hand... not completing it... well, it would help further gauge just how easily she was swayed to tumble.

A spin. Levi made it look so easy. Either Mitsu was ignoring the little voice in her head that was screaming this was bound to fail or she was blissfully unaware of it. Either way she began to mimic the move.
It was hard to say what went wrong and at what point the madness all began, but Mitsu found herself face first in the dirt only seconds later. Graceful this one was. The lupine seemed to be used to falling though as she merely picked herself back up again, dusting off her front. Her stance looked like she might have been embarrassed but without seeing her face it was hard to say.
"Umm...S..should I try again?" She asked quietly. This was going to be a long day.

Mot wasn't sure if her stumbling was a fluke or not at first, but the faltered spin certainly confirmed it wasn't. With a long contemplative stare, Mot sighed lightly, pinching the bridge of his nose. "This is going to be a looong day." He murmured lightly.
Mot recovered, smiling softly and waving a hand of dismissal. "Don't worry too much about messing up. It's all part of learning. Just um... try those moves in succession a few times. It may help you get into the rhythm." He hoped.
"I think I'll grab us some drinks though. Any one want anything?" Coffee. He was going to need coffee, he could just tell.
