Land of Fire: The Northwest Forests

Though these forests start out as the broad and tall trees which make up the majority of the Land of Fire, as one get's about half-way to all points west (Land of grass, Land of Rain, etc..) the forests begin to thin out. These trees are much smaller and thinner and shinobi traveling through these parts must navigate the forest's floor, dodging between the trees and low brush as they move. The forests eventually give way to lead to many paths, some open lands leading to the borders of other countries, others, well traveled and known roads of commerce.
The Land of Rain is well known for it's Crossroads Village and as being a central hub of transportation, but those who do not wish to travel such paths, could also trek across the Grass country which generally has a more serene background and is preferred to the dangerous paths around the Land of Rain when traveling to the Iwagakure.
