Hello everybody!
I have a little bit of a plot update here. Or, rather, more appropriately, a brainstorm fest. Of course the content that lies therein this post, is up for debate, discussion, or any input you feel is constructive. No bashing. No outright criticism. If it's criticism, it has to be constructive criticism. We're all trying to create something together, so, it's counter-productive to just haze on the idea.
Please try not to quote this entire post in your response, and feel free to analyze the Guild's Main Plot as well as mixing in some of your own ideas to your heart's content. heart We're all building the main plot that's put up below, and we would be very happy and most grateful for your opinions biggrin ! You know, just throw something out there biggrin , don't be afraid, or shy of putting something in!
Personally, I love synthesis, so any ideas put forth are good ideas so long as they have some gumption and UMPH! The only ideas I pass over, are the ones that are never mentioned, so get your voice heard! Include your characters and how you think the plot could contribute to them. And we'll be more than happy to work with you and to really enhance the story you're participating in. biggrin
With all the essentials distributed, I think we're good to dive right in.
Ready, or not, here I go:
According to the Guild's current main storyline, Rose Wolf is trying to bring a new God into existence with the help of her sub-sect of The Order: Virtuous Blood. This time, she wants to refine the God. Make it perfect. In order to do that, she needs the blood of the condemned and the blood of innocents corrupted by hatred, anger, and guilt; other negative emotions, or states of mind are encouraged. The amount of people needed isn't an exact estimate. But, we figure, that around 80% of the folks who enter Silent Hill with their characters, would be the bulk. The remaining 20% of whatever number of people come in, would be essentially, the corrupted innocents.
So, the more your character has repressed emotions, nasty personal issues, personality disorders, or, they've ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time, (elaborate on why, of course biggrin ), then, hey! It's a bonnefide blood splattered fiesta!
Your character doesn't have to die, at all, for their unwilling blood donation. Keep in mind that they could die because if you're caught by the Sect, your character could end up in a chair-like apparatus that drains them completely of blood. A full tankard. So, you figure, you don't want to get caught by these guys. Just run for your life, or turn off the flashlight...of course, if you do...you might get a nice welcoming present from the inner torment of your own mind. biggrin
Part of the ritual Rose Wolf is going to perform, is the need for the collected amount of blood to be poured over, or bathe the fetus in the blood.

Oh, for those of you who fear the idea of possible glory stealing, such as trying to make a character too important, instead of trying to weaken their importance, help to establish the importance of other characters as well, I am referring specifically to OCs here. None of our characters are going to be in a huge group the entire time, and thus will not always be around the NPC Protagonists who also will not be around each other the whole time when played by someone.
The storyline should have plenty of isolation as well via Otherworld transitions, splitting up to explore or because of arguing, being captured, etc. etc. We sort of want every character to fell important however, so if you have ideas for your character concerning interactions with a NPC, explain what you want to do here, discuss your plans with the people using NPCs, how should you interact? Maybe it relates to how you both enter the town of Silent Hill. There are other things to discuss, like weird events that happen to our own OCs in the story, surely, we all have something truly unique to add that makes our characters stand out a bit, nobody wants to make their character/s feel unimportant right? And just a huge hint, the boss at the end of the story will be a nearly complete God. That is when everyone definitely will be in a huge group, however, how that god is born should be of importance, it shouldn't just spontaneously form out of Heather because of The Order trying to take tainted blood from everyone to make it vengeful and full of hateful understanding. Thoughts? Who truly has the fetus, how does it form/reform in anyone with such ability, lets think these things out a little in the thread. Those are certainly important things to discuss.
