The night before, Lizzy had asked Mot if he wanted to go on a quest over Groanspring. Of course he accepted. Hanging out with a very good friend, there was little chance he would say no. They made plans to meet at the cafeteria after classes.

And so there he was. Prom was done and behind him, and the boil was happily at school with his normal clothes once again. Mot settled down in a chair with a half empty bottle of juice, biding his time until Lizzy showed up.

In the meantime, he simply people watched. Not that they would know, thanks to the brim of his hat hiding his eyes.

She turned up a moment later, and like Mot, was dressed in more casual clothing. A white moon dress (sun dress) since it was the season for it, as well as a pair of heeled covered shoes; standing next to Mot had always made her feel shorter than she already is, so heels were a must!

"Mot!" She waved at the boil as she neared, patting him on the top of his hat before wrapping her arms around his shoulders for a brief hug, "Ready to start on a quest to find an elusive horn?" She giggled, an amused smile on her lips.

Mot turned his head as he heard a familiar voice call his name. Ah, there she was! "Lizzy!" He put down his drink just in time to receive a hug, and give one back in return.

"I sure am. Though I am curious to know... horn? Lose yours?" Why were they looking for a horn? He stood up, towering over the slightly taller in heels Lizzy to inspect her head. Nope. She still had her horns. Maybe she was in the market for new ones.

He was probably joking.

"Oh, you'll know what sort of a horn it is when we find it!" She giggled; it seemed like it would be difficult to pry any sort of information from her for the time being. She then paused, as if she just thought of something important, before grinning sheepishly up at the boil, "So... Can you ride a horse? Have you ever tried riding one?"

She waited for his answer, sort of hoping for a 'yes'; cowboils have to know how to ride a horse, right? She knew from his accent that he probably was from the city like her, but still!

Lizzy was being strangely cryptic. Mot was a bit worried. He quirked an unseen brow, then shrugged it off. "Yes, actually. I can." Mot said with a small smile. "Friend of the family taught me how." He would have otherwise never gotten the chance. "We'd spend weekends at his ranch every so often, and since my parents were otherwise occupied with socializing, I got to have some fun."

Why was she suddenly interested in horses? What was Lizzy up to?
PostPosted: Sun Jul 03, 2011 5:36 pm

"Oh, good!" She grinned, rather relieved as she took his arm and led him out of the cafeteria, "That means you won't have to learn how to... Unlike me. Not that I want to learn, really..." She paused before leading him out of the school gate and to the main road, "For this quest, we shall have to leave school!" Yup, she was being all mysterious about this.

Near the gate, a carriage pulled by a skeletal horse waits, its driver a man whose eyes were obscured by the hood on his head. He grinned when he spotted Lizzy, nodding at both students as they approached, "Good to see you again, Ms Lizzy. Why is it that every time you ask for me, I see you with a different boil? And they seem to get more and more dashing? Mr Mot, I presume?" His grin widened; it was almost... Unnerving actually.

She blushed at his words before climbing onto the carriage, gesturing for Mot to do the same. Then, turning to tap the driver gently on the shoulder, she smiled, "Bones, you know where to go, yes?" She seemed rather excited, judging from her tone and facial expression, "I told you earlier?"

"Aye~ Once your friend gets settled down, we'll be on our way."

"No? It's fun." Mot said with a chuckle. Well he liked doing it.

Wait, leave thew school?

There was a carriage? "Lizzy, where are you taking me, exactly?" Why did it require a carriage? And wait, huh? Different boil every time? Was... Lizzy going to kill him and hide the body? The driver even knew his name. This was all prearranged. He grimaced at the creeper smile, turning is head to Lizzy s she got inside the carriage. "You're making me nervous, Lizzy." Mot murmured, walking toward the carriage and climbing in. Lizzy was his friend, therefore he had to trust her. He sat next to her, giving her an uncertain look that could not really be fully seen with his shadowed features.

"But... It's sweaty and tiring!" She pouted, although she soon smiled sheepishly, "Which is also my excuse for most sports related activities..."

She couldn't help giggling at Mot's words, a small part of her enjoying seeing him all nervous and uncertain, "You'll see! You'll like it there, I think." She nodded as the carriage surged forward, moving down the street; the skeletal horses soon picked up speed, however, causing hair to fly everywhere; it was a good thing hers was up in a ponytail.

Quickly, she reached over to pull Mot's hat down, "Hold on to your hat~ Just in case!" A nod followed as she sat back in her seat, relaxed; it was rather obvious that she was used to rides like this one.

"Aw, no fun, Lizzy." Mot laughed. He wasn't much into sports, but he did like to at least try. "Dancing is sweaty and tiring, but you did that~." He teased lightly.

The carriage surged forward, and began to pick up pace. His world got darker for some reason. Where did the little light he usually saw go? Oh, Lizzy pulled his hat down. The boil chuckled, taking her advice and keeping a hand on his hat as he leaned back in his seat.

Still, Lizzy was certainly keeping this whole quest thing secret from him. It was less him helping her find something and more her leading him into a trap. Clearly. What did horses and horns have to do with anything, anyway? Mot sighed a bit. He really could not make heads or tails of it all. Little did he know she seemed amused by his uncertainty. "Just how far are we going?" Would any of his questions get answers?
PostPosted: Sun Jul 03, 2011 6:58 pm

"That's true... I had fun dancing! I'm not that good at dancing though," She chuckled softly, "You're way better at it! Levi too!" She never knew that they had it in them!

"Oh, not far..." She replied as mysteriously as she could, which... Was not that much, seeing how she was giggling as she said that, "Just out of town... Oh, if you look there, you should be able to see it!" She leaned out of the carriage a little, turning to look at where they were headed before pointing at a small building in the distance - as they got closer, it was rather obvious that it was a barn.

"We're going to a ranch," She finally revealed with a grin, "With horses!"

Mot grinned and laughed, rubbing his neck in slight embarrassment. "Most of the moves I did at prom were a result of getting high from the atmosphere, methinks." Oh, Prom. How you come back to haunt! "But thank you." He did have fun, and teasing Levi was as fun as dancing with her was.

Mot blinked, and turned his head to where Lizzy was pointing. Wait...

Mot grinned as Lizzy finally revealed their destination. "Really?" He asked, trying to contain his excitement. "Aw man, Lizzy, you spoil me." Mot laughed, turning and grinning at his friend.
PostPosted: Mon Jul 04, 2011 8:05 am

"Ah, prom... Yes... The atmosphere was rather, uh, intoxicating, wasn't it?" She blushed a little as she looked away, recalling all the events that transpired that night, most of which she was trying desperately to forget... Or at least never ever mention them again in public. The problem? Xiu still had the photos from that crazy night. Hm... She'll have to talk to the Baku soon.

"Yes!" She giggled, returning his grin with one of her own, "I've never, uh, been there before, but Bones-" She gestured briefly to their driver, "-Promised good skeletal horses... Like the one currently pulling this carriage!"

"Only the best, Miss Lizzy~ Skeletal horses, they never really run out of breath. The best horses in all of Halloween, I reckon."

She giggled at their driver's words before turning to Mot again, "Oh no! You spoil me plenty by playing along! I mean, how many boils would agree to 'go on a quest' with me?" She giggled again; oh yes, this was only the beginning!

The carriage soon slowed to a stop by the side of the road, near the entrance of the ranch. It was fenced, and skeletal horses roam the front while cattle were kept near the back.

"I'll be back to pick you two up in a few hours," Bones chuckled as he turned to face the two; Lizzy was already climbing off her seat and out of the carriage as he pointed at the entrance, "Already warned the owner of your visit... Head on in and have fun shooting, Miss Lizzy, Mr Mot."

... Wait, shooting?

"The smart ones." Mot answered with a grin. Seriously. Quest!

They had pulled up to the entrance. Being called Mr Mot again made the reaper chuckle. Although eager to ride horses, he was still not sure what all this had to do with a quest and a horn. "Wait, shooting?" Mot asked as he hopped out of the carriage after Lizzy. "Shooting what?" What are you up to Lizzy~!
PostPosted: Mon Jul 04, 2011 5:50 pm

"Ohh, he gave it away," Lizzy pouted before turning to smile sheepishly at Mot, taking his arm and leading him through the gate, "Uh, yes... Shooting. Have you ever tried firing at anything while on a horse before?"

She stopped once they were actually inside the ranch, looking rather... Lost?

"Uh, like I said, I've never been here before," She repeated, looking around, "Bones said that this is a struggling ranch... They don't earn nearly enough off the cattle, so they offer things like horseback riding and... Uh, little games like shooting at balloons while horseback riding using guns with pellets for ammo."

She raised a finger, trying to look as mysterious as possible, "If you manage to complete the course, I'll reveal the location of the horn to end our little quest." While she was trying to keep a straight face, she ended up giggling anyway.

"No, never. I imagine it would be hard to maintain a steady shot while moving." Mot admitted, listening intently to Lizzy's following explanation. This sounded like it was going to be a fun day.

He looked around as she did. He'd never been to this ranch either, but it seemed similar to the only other ranch he had been to in the past. But these games sounded like amazing fun. Mot was getting goosebumps.

He looked down at the demoness as she raised a finger, smiling slyly. "I'm still not sure why this horn is so important I'd want to win a game to get it, but why not?" He grinned and looked over the ranch. "This sounds like it will be an amazing challenge."
