Mng'Kari hummed as she clambered onto a large rock, she was just a while outside the border of her pridelands and very much at ease. Though she didn't often think about the dangerous that could be in the rogue lands. She just wanted to have a good time! A rare and short lived breeze ruffled past her fur as she stood atop the rock and she shut her eyes to it, purring. "Feel that Ses?" She called out loudly, laughing lightly as she opened her eyes again and did a little circle on the rock. Why wasn't anyone about these days? It was so dull! She could change that though, she knew she could.
"Ya shoul' no be so loud girl." Her constant companion responded, sitting near by with his ears standing alert and his mismatched gaze scanning constantly at the horizon. "Psssh, always a spoilsport Sessy." She called, leaping from the rock and bounding toward him, bumping her head playfully into his side. "Dunno why you're always so cautious... who cares! It's so boring!" And then she bounded away from him, though clearly he knew something was up because he also reluctantly climbed to his four paws. "HEEEEELLLOOO~ ANYONE OOOUUUT THEEEEERE~?" She yelled at the top of her lungs, then began to laugh again tail flicking back and forth with a bright smile on her features as she glanced about.

xx"Yes...no need to shout," Pachu'a said softly with a chuckle. He had been passing by and had stopped to watch the lioness and her companion's antics. As a wanderer it wasn't often he got entertainment, so when the chance arose he opted to enjoy it.
"Though, you really should listen to your partner there. What if, for some reason, I found you delicious? You would have been in trouble then," he cautioned. The big lion crossed his paws and settled more into his laying position, "You had no idea I was watching...I could have taken you by surprise easily."
He hadn't meant to start a lecture, but it was true. Fortunately he didn't care much for lion meat, or killing unless necessary for that matter.

Sesere growled lightly, shaking his head in disappointment at Mng. "Yeh still act like a cub just away from 'er mothers teat." He wasn't sure what annoyed him more, her complete lack of maturity or the fact that she just laughed at the things he said as if she thought he was making some grand joke. But before he could say more his ears went stiff, his eyes zooming to a voice that was not his or Mngs. He growled slightly, warningly, before Mng bounded back to him, grinning foolishly. "See, told you!" She whispered, quite ecstatic that someone had answered her. Oh. Maybe not so ecstatic... he sounded like Sesere.
Her grin slipped into something more of a sheepish smile as the stranger male continued to speak. Mng did not get any closer to the other, and when he finished speaking her features had shifted to a frown. "That's not true, Ses would have seen ya comin for me." She chirped, slightly defensively. Didn't he understand the pure joy of abandoning all social graces and just shouting once in a while?
Still, if he was going to lecture her he probably wasn't going to attack. Unless he was especially devious! She bounded toward him, smile back again. "You probably would find me delicious, as I probably am delicious!" She purred out, laughing. "Anyways HI. I'm Mng'Kari, who are you? Do you like watching strangers without letting the know you're there at first? You have a very pretty coat." Mng spoke often and she spoke quickly, two facts that sometimes grated on others' nerves.

The big lion blinked slowly, not expecting such an energetic response. The lioness had clearly just shrugged away his lecture though, which both left him at ease and feeling a tid embarrassed that he had in the first place.
He cleared his throat and shoot himself a bit to hide it, "Mng'Kari, pleasure to meet such an...energetic lioness," he bowed his head then continued, "Pachu'a. And yes, I do like watching strangers. I'm a strange one like that." The big lion grinned at his attempt at a joke. He didn't want the lioness to think he was all stiff and ridged.
His coat fluffed up at her compliment. Never had he really had one before...his traveling companion (who had gone off to who knows where for a few days) wasn't the type to compliment, especially not him. He stood and shook off some dirt, pawing at the ground. This would be fun, talking to someone new.
"What, may I ask, is a pretty lioness like yourself doing out here? And who is Ses?" Pachu'a had an idea about the latter question, but he liked to be sure rather than make assumptions.

Mng liked meeting other lions more than anything in the world. Pride cats, wanderers... even baddies. They all seemed really amazing to her, and they all had really interesting stories! Oh she sometimes wished she did not feel so attached to her family and home, she might have been brave enough to take Ses and see the world herself. But for now stories would have to do... even though most of the time if you did run into a bad lion you did more running than listening. Mng's head tilted slightly when Pachu'a spoke and when he grinned she suspected it might be something funny, but she didn't what he was doing with strange and stranger. She chuckled anyways, not out of a need to be polite or anything like that but just because Mng enjoyed laughter. "I think speaking to strangers is much more fun!" She stated, though the lioness had never been that observant in the first place.
She backed up just a tad when he stood; male lions always seemed much smaller when they were laying in the dirt. No matter how many lions she met she couldn't get over the fact of how huge they were! Though Pachu'a came no where near the sheer size of Taabu or Njozi. Ack, how were they related to her again? Didn't matter, family was family! "You're big!" She stated, no filter on her thoughts. She was smiling though, so it didn't seem to be an insult. "That is Ses..." She gestured toward the maned wolf, who just gave a set of narrowed brows before snorting and looking away. "Don't mind him, he's a grump." She giggled at this, shifting from paw to paw as if she could not stand still.
Wait, had he just called her pretty? She purred at the compliment. The only other lion to ever call her pretty was Taku - she froze, the smile instantly coming off her face and for a moment she looked heartbreakingly sad. She coughed and worked the smile back on her features. Taku was long gone, she had to except that. But even now her heart gave a little painful tug. She had sworn it had been wonderfully true love, that they would be together forever and ever and... Suddenly Mng started to get misty eyed and then she was crying. It was not a very pretty sight, it was messy and loud. "S-S-sorry, y-y-you just made me... you j-j-j-ust reminded me of a fr-friend!" She managed between little sobs, not at all embarrassed to be crying int front of the lion she'd just met.
Sesere groaned from where he was laying, clambered to all fours and suddenly took off into the woods close by, the woods that bordered the Kusini lands. He offered no explanation, but he'd seen Mng get like this a thousand times and he hated dealing with it. So he didn't. (-coughs- hahah, I am so sorry. -runs-)

Pachu'a nodded, "Speaking to them can be, but not always do they want to talk back, so seem to want to be bothered." He chuckled, then wondered how young Mng stayed out of trouble. Then again, Ses seemed to be more of a reluctant baby-sitter than a companion, so maybe he kept her safe.
He opened his mouth to say something, but the lioness suddenly burst into tears at his compliment. It snapped shut, and he looked around, confused and surprised. His startled expression turned soft though as she blubbered out words and he nudged her gently with his head, "There now, no need to cry, you'll wet your fur. Look, you already scared away your mother."
He added the last bit as another attempt at a joke...but the lion was really at a loss. Chu'mana never cried, or showed any weaknesses...come to think of it he had never had to comfort anyone, at least not since he was a cub curled up with his litter mates.
But to be able to cry in front of a nearly complete stranger...this lioness had a different type of "no-fear" than he was used to...so he took the risk of getting in a more personal space to try and cheer her up. He started to mock-lecture her, "Don't make me resort to making strange faces; my poor dignity wouldn't stand for it. Where's that laugh from early little lioness?"

At his half attempt at a joke Mng found herself bursting with laughter, though the tears still came. Any lion might think her made, the way she easily slipped from her happy demeanor into sobbing and on top of it all the reckless laughter. "Oh... oh... he'd be a terrible... mother!" She manages to get the words out, though they only proved to strengthen the laughter. It was an odd feeling, both remembering that boy she once loved and also finding humor in this male's words.
After a moment she seemed to be taking deeper breaths, trying to smile sheepishly through her tears. It had taken her a good ten minutes at least to calm down, she was glad that the stranger had not left. No, not stranger any more. He was Pachu'a, and Mng could no longer think of him as a stranger because he was being so helpful and kind. Like a friend! Her tears seemed finally done for good and she raised a paw to wipe at her face. "I'm sorry about that.." She said again, only looking the tiniest bit embarrassed.
"I'm more surprised I haven't scared you away... Sesere is easily irritated." She said, almost like she was rambling. "You're very patient." She pointed out, and then her mouth clicked shut because she feared if she kept letting words spill out she might really become embarrassed.

Pachu'a smiled gently, "You couldn't scare me away if you tried m'dear -- after all I am a grown lion. And it's perfectly all right, though it is rare to find someone who can so easily express themselves. I find it...refreshing."
And it was. Too often had Pachu'a faced creatures that hid their true nature. This was reasonable in the rogue lands, where being too open could end up hurting you. Though Pachu'a was also one of the lions that kept to himself most times, he never found the need to hid his personal feelings. But then again he didn't have the type of personality that ever got him into trouble or gave him the space to get hurt.
"Well, if I wasn't, then I might end up like your friend. We wouldn't want that, would we? Hardly any fun at all!" he chuckled loudly, then cocked his head to the side and stood, slowly starting to walk as he talked to see if she would follow him on a stroll, "Now, young miss, where might you be from? Or going to might I add."

mng felt relieved that he wasn't going to go away, it had been so long since she'd had any social contact from a lion that was not a part of her pride. Most of her pride was also related to her in one way or another as well, and that was sometimes tiring. There was nothing ever fresh or interesting going on in the pride. Many of her siblings had up and left, her mother was missing... her father was often moping in his den unless his healer duties had him tending to pride members. To think she could have just ruined a perfectly good meeting because of tears!
She smiled more.once he insisted everything was okay, and that he was not going to just run off like Sesere, who was touchy in even the most light hearted of times. She watched as he stood and for a moment feared he might be parting, despite his insistence earlier that he was not. But he looked to her and indicated that he hoped for her to follow. She glanced only once to the forest bordering her homelands before moving toward him, picking up her pace to match his own.
"Oh! I was born in the Kusini'mwezi, i've lived there my entire life." she indicated the forest again with her head. "it's just through there. Though going someplace sounds nice... i've always thought it would be fantastic to travel! Are you a traveler? Do you also come from a pride?" the tears had been forgotten already by Mng, who instead had become very curious of the male lion. Maybe he had amazing stories to share!
