Ok so you know how mako reactor in the game FFVII drain Mako energy from the planet true yes this is a fact.heres another fact if you played the game you should also know it's the energy, life and blood of the planet. when it's gone the planet dies.
Well doesn't some of that sound Familiar like the oil in the earth like i'm not saying it's true. i know it's just a game, a realy good game, my favorite game, but don't you think this could be possible i mean there are machines world wide acting as Mako reacters gathering oil from the earth. do you think that that could be our planets blood or some thing

This is no coincidence. Have you noticed with every Final Fantasy series, the Antagonist has always been a figure, or action that has, or is happening. Take FFX for instance. The main base is restraints on religion. Even though the religion is widely believed and very much in power, it's also hurting, and destroying it's people. Does that sound like anyone that's in political power right now? Also FF8, the antagonist was being controlled by one person. Sort of like a former president who happened to get caught cheating on his wife... I'm not naming names though.
Final Fantasy's deal with real life issues, but put a twist or a spin to it to seem like it's nothing like the real life.
And also if you notice with FF7, the protagonist is also the antagonist. A group of terrorists... yeah. Destroying buildings to try and make a point... hey hasn't that happened before in real life? I'm not trying to offend anyone, but this is just my stand point!

One problem with some of your points: at least one of them occurs *after* the games were made.

Are you saying someone should go around and blow up all the oil machines around the planet?

[x]He's not saying that at all. He's just making a very valid point, relating the Final Fantasy series to real life. He didn't mention anything pro-terrorist at all.[x]

Actually, the Life's Blood that is being referred to in the game is a literal standpoint, it's from the Gaian Theory... here's a cut-and-paste HTTP http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaia_theory_(science)But yeah, it's a POSSIBILITY, but since it refers to something that already exists, I think it's more likely they're actually talking about Gaia. (I find that ironic... a talk about Gaia ON GaiaOnline.

I seriously doubt that, while FF games may show real life issues, everything in them isn't based on a real fact. You can't say there was a guy with a huge sword that blew up reactors and stuff right?
Anyway, earth does not live out of oil. Whereas, The Planet did, since you could find mako anywhere, except Shinra only mined in places with a high concentration of mako (as show in Cloud's Nibelheim flashback, Sephiroth says that Mt. Nibel has a high concentration of mako, and that's why the reactor was put there. Also, at the ending movie in the game, Lifestream bursts out of every single fissure in the Planet). On earth, you can't find oil everywhere. And it can't be proved if the earth is alive anyway. If it were, I doubt it lives out of oil because you can't find it everywhere you go.
'Nuff said!

It seems like the creators made the connection somewhere. Maybe just a little slap on the wrist to say "You know, all that oil underground isn't infinite, it won't be there forever!"

Who said Video Games weren't educational? Now Mind blowing anime's that exploit graphics and un-realistic magical powers are another thing!

oil is not a lifeblood for earth, I'm pretty sure of that. although, in another aspect. oil is limited (as was the mako energy) so I'm betting it was an analogy to the energy crisis (whether it was intentional or not)
