Moricorm - Das Tor
Oh it was good to wander again. Ri took a deep breath of savanna air...a scent she was likely going to be getting a lot of soon enough. She was growing more and more restless with the leadership of the Morifaer side. She was growing more and more unsettled with the sullying of the pride's ways, the way the pride just...just sat on their ASSES. She growled and kneaded the dry ground beneath her paws, glaring into the darkness. She had a plan forming in her head...and soon, she would set it into motion.
Algol stopped at the edge of the pride's land, stretching much to the disgust of the two females and smaller male with him, and he snorted when Ein growled, glaring at him.
"A problem, runt?" He hissed.
Ri frowned as she caught a few scents...one half-familiar, and three not nearly so. Her eyes narrowed, tail thrashing behind her. She didn't recall any of Hakuna'jina's cubs choosing to be Neumar or Neumare. The black and red demoness sunk down and slunk forward, deadly silent in the way only she'd managed; not even her bells rang. What was she going to find, she wondered. And could she use it against the Sparda-line demon?
There was definaite tension in the smell group, Algol moving around the females, before swatting Ein into the pond. The smaller, younger male snarled, asnd Hana lunged between then, roaring at Algol. Accendo grimaced.
"How badly do we need force? Enough to tolerate this dirty b*****d?" Hana hissed. Accendo grimaced.
"Yes."
Ein snorted, pulling himself out.
"No..."
Ri's crimson eyes narrowed as she watched, staying perfectly still aside from her breathing. Well well...What sort of trouble was the black and blue male planning. The three lions with him didn't seem demons. Well...the large female who looked desert-born might pass, but the others...Dark coat or not, they didn't seem right. At all. Hmph. She stood and cleared her throat.
"Force? I hope you're not planning something stupid, Sparda-blood. Your poor mother has already suffered two heartbreaks in her line. I'm not certain she'd survive another, demon or not." Despite Ri's distaste for the Sparda side...she did admire Hakuna'jina, and two of those she actually considered 'friend' were Sparda side.
Ein jumped landside immediately, moving next to Accendo territorially, snarling feircely. Hana herself spun on Ri, roaring threatewningly, however, Algol chuckled darkly.
"Trouble? Nothing I can't take care of." He smirked. "They just happened to agree to give me some spawn for our cause in exchange for my claws for a short scuffle."
Ri wasn't phased by Hana's roar at all, raising a brow at the lioness. "I've grown up fighting, dodging, and taking down lions larger than me. You do not scare me, child." Despite the other's size, she was certainly younger than Ri. She looked to Algol. "Just remember you'll need to be the one to explain why you left the pridal lands. I know your lot...not a one of you chose the path I walk." Though she could agree with the gaining of spawn. The pride desperately needed new blood.
He smirked fiendishly.
"Oh, I think they'll understand an Incubus going out and returning with young. After all, we can take any women we want." He rubbed on Hana aqnd Accendo and the female snarled, spinning on him before a blue streak shot between them, ears pinned back nervously as he eyed Algol, then moved to sheild Ri.
"H...Hey... You can't just use women... It's not right!"
Kohrisu had barely arrived when he heward the male demon gloating, and the healer... Didn't really relish the idea of seeing a raope he could try preventing, and he looked to Ri in worry.
"Are you OK, miss?"
Accendo face-pawed. Uh oh.
Ri looked at the blue lion, an obvious 'wth' look on her face. She'd been about to point out the idiocy of Algol's statement when he'd shown up. "I'm quite fine." She was more than capable of defending herself, despite her small size. "What sort of fool are you, rushing in alone into a large group?" Sometimes, non-demons were so foolish.
Hana snorted.
"Most likely somebody's escaped slave." She smirked. Accendo frowned, but Algol bristled. Kohriso looked at Ri apologetically.
"He looked like he was harrasing you all, and I'm not very big, but I thought I'd help." He looked like a beaten pup, when Algol advanced, moving to bite down on his hind leg.
Ri sighed and shook her head. "He's not from my pride. Our Na'artu have learned better." Speaking of...she was in need of a new one. Her plan would need more slaves. And Na'artu were easier to break than Na'artue. "I doubt you have any of the training needed to he-" A growl escaped her throat as she saw Algol's intent, moving to head the Sparda-blood off. HERS.
"No, the Motoujamii unfortuanately rid itself of slaves."
Accendo shot Hana a flat look.
"He's from my old pri-" She blinked, Algol moving back at Ri's motrion. He knew the female wasn't one to fight with. Kohrisu blinked, lost on the conversation.
He wasn't a slave.
"I'm a healer, actually, miss." Blink. Blink. So confused.
Moricorm snorted at Algol, then smirked. So he had SOME brains than. Few in the pride messed with her. It was known that despite her small size, she was one of the most formidable fighters in the pride. She looked to Koh, raising a brow. A...healer? She'd heard of such of a position. She found it inane to have someone dedicated solely to such a thing. "Then you certainly have no place rushing in blindly."
"Maybe, but if I'd been right and did nothing.... I don't want to think of that guilt." He smiled kindly. "I was raised better.
Accendo stared. Yeeesh.
"Kohrisu... ... Nevermind."
Kohrisu? Such an odd name. Ri snorted and rolled her eyes. Outsiders had such idiotic notions. She'd break him of them soon enough. "He won't do anything to them. I have a feeling the desert-born one would tear him to pieces." Not to mention not a one of them was more than slave material, save the desert-born one. SHE could make a good demon. But for now...Ri needed to lure her intended slave away from the others.
"If you say so." He moved against Ri. Algol's glatre, as well as Hanas's, was scaring him, although he didn't understand Accendo's concern, giving her a reassuring smile. Ein looked silently mollified.
Well...this was going to be easier than she originally thought. Ri gave him a smile that held a touch of sweetness....and none of her true darkness. "I know his mother, and a good chunk of his family." She said it in such a way that said she had leverage. Well...she didn't really, but she was luring her new slave in. She preferred binding them to her before they realized her true nature.
"Really?" He smiled back kindly. This was interesting! SAccendo studied Ri silently before frowning.
"Kohrisu, don't trust her. She's another Demon. A bad one." Ein and Hana looked to the female seer, both concerned as she moved to coax her former pridemate away. Algol looked amused. This could be fun to watch.
Ri raised a brow at Accendo, tail swishing slowly behind her. And laughed softly. "Bad? My dear, not all demons are 'bad'." In her mind, she certainly wasn't 'bad'. Just doing what demons did. And then there was the foolish ideals of the idiots in the Mwako'bi'Giza. 'Redeeming' demons, indeed.
Accendo hissed.
"Stealing cubs is considered 'bad'. Most demons are bad."
Kohrisu spoke softly, eyes somewhat out of focus.
"The deaths of helpless creatures is bad." He shook his head, looking to Ri sadly. "Especially for entertainment. But, I'm sure there's good in everyone. I'd trust you, miss."
Accendo blinked. What was Kohrisui talking about? Hana snorted, advancing.
"That's because your likely weak slave blood." She growled, and swatted him hard, the small male stumbling and falling. Ein looked horrified aty more violence, Algol laughing. Accendo frowned, cuffing Hana roughly.
"He's not a slave, idiot."
Ri was caught off guard by his words, looking at him surprised. What...the hell? Hana's strike at Koh jolted her out of her surprise, her hackles raising and her bells chiming as she moved to his defense. He was HERS. NO ONE damaged what was HERS! She felt Coactum rising to the surface again. Though she'd normally welcome the fire, she needed the ice right now. She needed Astus. She couldn't afford to let her slave-to-be see her in full bloodlust. Not yet. "I would not repeat that, or even try to, if I were you, desert-born." There was a dark edge to her voice, one that spoke of a promise of pain.
Hana glared, fangs baring.
"You aren't the only one used to battle, demon." Her hackles raised, the female snarling. "And You'd best remember it."
Accendo fluffed, trying to pull Hana back, the former Firekin giving Accendo a firm look unhappily. Kohrisu groaned, squirming to sget up. Algol chortled again.
"Going soft Ri?"
Ri just gave Hana a cold, sharp smile. Oh she was aware. But she had an advantage in her small size...Hana's belly was more open to her than someone nearer to Hana's size. There was a sharp caw and a blur of white and red divebombed past Algol's ear before winging out of his range. Ithil leered at him with eyes as red as her Mistress'.
"Mistress is not SOFT. Mistress protects her own!" Ithil knew her Mistress inside and out, and knew even other demons didn't understand her. Save, perhaps, the first son of her father's mistress.
Hana remained tense herself, studying the female and ignoring the bird. Algol sniffed.
"That male's weak, Ithil."
Kohrisu just grimaced, getting up, though the damage was clearly raked on his side, red.
Ithil fluffed up, landing on her Mistress' back. "Mistress sees potential." Else her Mistress would not have deigned to bother herself with him. Ri stood up, looking every bit the demon princess she'd been born...half slave-blood or not.
"I would suggest you go on with your business Sparda-blood. And do remember...one day you may come across the female who will make it very hard for you to keep up your...activities." She moved to Koh's side, moving to examine his wounds. She did NOT like damaged property. She wanted her slaves at their best, their most useful.
"That's where your wrong, Moricorm. But I suppose I'm not weak like some." He turned, nosing for Ein and Accendo to go, Hana snorting as she moved to follow.
Kohrisu looked to her nervously, but tried to nose her reassuringly.
"I'll be okay."
Ri didn't bother answering. He wasn't worth it, for all that Coactum raged inside her. She resisted the urge her fiery demon gave her to lash out, to show the Sparda-blood he was wrong. But she held to herself, held to Astus' cold ice. "We'll get you cleaned up." She was no fool, to let wounds fester. Ithil fluttered onto Koh's head, pecking him lightly between the eyes.
"Do not toss aside Mistress' concern."
"Ithil...behave. I am Moricorm. The bird is Ithil."
Kohrisu looked like the bird had beaten him, nodding to Ri pleasantly.
"If you insist, Miss Moricorm. My name is Kohrisu. It's a pleasure to meet you." He leaned in, kissing her paw and winced, waiting for Ithil or Ri to lash again.
Ri nodded. "I am not going to hit you." Not unless he absolutely deserved it. She was of Morifaer's mindset...but she knew when to apply kindness, and when to apply the claws. Now was not the time for claws. "Ithil was just chiding, not seeking to harm." The bird chittered in agreement, then fluttered to the ground before taking to the skies again to scout around. "Come...we've water right here, so let's get your side washed." Then she'd need to find a place to sleep once daylight came. One where it would be hard for him to escape.
Kohrisu nodded, slowly and painfully climbing into the water, muscles spasming before he lay in the water, head abnove, eyes closing before her looked around idly for herbs, but saw none. The spasming hurt, thoutgh... Badly.
Ri sighed and shook her head, moving to help him clean it. She was familiar enough with wounds. And she didn't deal with anything to really help. Just water and her own tongue. "You're an idiot. Choose your battles." She'd make sure THAT was drilled into his head. She wouldn't have a Na'artu of hers getting killed.
He looked like a beaten pup again, then up.
"I'm just glad to know your safe." He looked to his paws, closing his eyes quietly.
"Honour is important. Living and ding honourably is more important than doing nothing."
Ri was quiet a moment, before finally replying. "I would have been fine. I am small, but I have grown up fighting and outsmarting those larger than me." There weren't many small demons, after all.
Koh looked up to her softly and smiled.
"My pride is a pride of warriors., My father is even a warrior. I... Am not." He looked back down. "But to do the right thing, I'd gladly lay my life down all the same."
