I got the amazing profound unforgettable experience to see Wicked only 3 days before Idina Menzel fell to her end of Wicked. It was the most amazing show that I have ever seen and am convinced I ever WILL see. I would REALLY love to play Fiyero in Wicked because I like the character and the range is good for me.. My friend David had the opportunity to go backstage and meet Idina Menzel who was with her husband Taye Diggs. Idina Menzel is my singing and acting idol and always will be. Have any of you seen Wicked? If so.. What was your opinion of it?

I am envious!!!! I read the book and loved it and always wanted to see the show. I almost flew to New York just to see it. Jealousy is brewing inside me!

I was invited to go to what was supposed to be Idinas last performance. However, since I lack the money and I have a bootleg DVD of it, I did not go, it turns out that the performance before that was when Idina was injured so Yeah.

I consider myself lucky and unlucky.

I won the lottery for that performance, 3rd row tickets.

It is an absolutely AMAZING show. Someday I hope to be able to play Fiyero (thank God I'm a Tenor!!). I found it very creative how they tied in all the characters from The Wizard of Oz into the story.

I've seen one version of Wicked. It was put on by the Manitoba Theatre for Young People. It was still pretty good. I would love to go see it on Broadway!

Yeah, I read the book before I knew it was a musical. I loved the book. A lot of things are different in the musical than in the book though.

Well, they are similar, but there are major difference. Both are really good though.

if you want to read the book dont' read this!

dude. i saw a bootleged copy and it was awesome and i then read the book. differences? fiyero is someone completley different in the book. the stage fieyro is really...can't remember, and there's another fiyero. elphaba and glinda split for good, doctor dillymund (?) goat dude get's murdered by the head madame morrible who is later murdrerd by elpheba. fiyero dies and so does elphie. and...yes. it's a really politically centered book. highly suggest.
